Joanna Popper is a Hollywood and Silicon Valley executive with experience in TV, Digital, Film and VR/AR. She just joined HP as Global Lead of Virtual Reality, Location Based Entertainment. Most recently she’s been the EVP of Media and Marketing at Singularity University and VP Marketing at NBCUniversal. Joanna developed a TV show partnership with NBC and Singularity University for “The Awesome Show,” a new broadcast TV series on tech and innovation produced by Mark Burnett with host Chris Hardwick and is an Executive Producer on the show. She is advising a number of immersive computing companies focused on holograms, haptic touch, AR Cloud and video engagement as well as developing VR/AR content. She is on the Coalition of the WXR Fund and was named “50 Women Can Change the World in Media and Entertainment.”

Sarah Vick, Head of Business at Intel Studios: As the Head of Business for Intel Studios, Sarah Vick is passionate about evolving the media industry to revolutionize the way we tell stories. Her professional expertise in digital transformation, innovation, and new technology strategy enables her to lead partnership development, portfolio management, and content strategy for the leading immersive media studio. With every production, Vick and her team explore how breaking the fourth wall through volumetric capture and immersive experiences can help us create new and more impactful media experiences. Vick holds a BS in Physics from Stanford University and an MBA from the Sloan School of Management at MIT. She was also a Fulbright Scholar and a Siebel Scholar.

 

Nigel Tierney, Head of Content RYOT // Verizon Media: Nigel Tierney currently serves as Head of Content for RYOT, a subsidiary of Verizon Media (VM), overseeing the development, creative, art production, & marketing departments. Nigel is shepherding the advancement of immersive and mixed reality experiences specifically targeting the integration of storytelling, brand, & celebrity, as well as creating original content across VM’s suite of brands such as Yahoo, Tumblr, & HuffPo. In addition to spearheading content; Nigel has lead a team to build out RYOT’s state-of-the-art 5G Innovation Studio. This new production facility in Los Angeles is fitted with the latest in motion and volumetric capture technology, all of which has been designed to experiment with forms of storytelling that leverage Verizon’s 5G wireless technology. Prior to his time at RYOT, Nigel served as Chief Creative for a variety of animated projects responsible for tens-of-millions in viewership as well as Senior Technical Director at DreamWorks Animation with award winning credits including a variety of tentpole franchises such as SHREK FOREVER AFTER, THE CROODS, KUNG FU PANDA 3, & CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS. Nigel is also known for creating the world famous J/K COMEDY CLUB, a hidden club located in the heart of the DreamWorks Campus, that showcase a wide variety of celebrity comedians.

 

Angelo Del Priore is a founding partner at HP Tech Ventures, where he leads investments and partnerships in AR/VR, Gaming/eSports, and AI. He is on a number of boards, including at AdHawk Microsystems, Mobalytics, Mojo Vision, and Parsec Gaming. He also advises numerous startups and is a frequent speaker and judge at industry conferences, including Augmented World Expo, SXSW, VRX, VentureSummit, etc. Previously Angelo was with HP’s corporate strategy group where he focused on M&A and growth strategies. Before joining HP, Angelo was VP Business Development and Strategy at Couchsurfing, where he helped raise $23M in VC funding. Previously he ran a tech sector focused management consulting company for 8 years and worked for numerous startups and Fortune 500 companies, including Apple, Cisco, Groupon, Intel, Microsoft, Oracle, and YouSendIt. Angelo has taught graduate business classes around the world, including at Wharton and Haas, and earned degrees from Northwestern and Wharton.
