Welcome to the world of NFTs. For people working in the world of Crypto, the NFT explosion of the past three months has been something of an anticipated delight. For everyone else however, it arrival is more of a meteoric bolt out the blue! So now that NFTs have arrived, Digital Hollywood is happy to welcome it as another innovative industry game-changer. Bill Tai started in VC in 1991 and has had 22 IPOs from his early stage investments. He has served a Board Director for 8 publicly listed companies as a result. He supports conservation and economic empowerment via ACTAI Global, a 501(c)3 he founded and Chairs. Originally trained as a computer chip designer, he joined LSI Logic, a seminal Silicon Valley startup formed by the CEO of Fairchild Semiconductor, then completed an MBA at Harvard. Issued Badge #A001 at the startup of TSMC, now the 10th most valuable company in the world. Established the semiconductor practice at Alex. Brown & Sons positioning IPO's of Atmel, Cirrus Logic, Dallas Semiconductor, Zilog. Zach Katz is CEO of first-of-its-kind technology & music investment group, Raised In Space Enterprises. Katz leads a team of seasoned tech and music experts who are determined to raise the value of music through investing into tech-based solutions for the music industry. With a mission to create a new industry called ‘Music-Tech’, Raised In Space fosters proactive collaborations between the traditional music industry and the next generation of transformational tech companies who are looking to innovate and uplift the music space. Katz oversaw signings that included Janet Jackson, Blink 182, Lil Dicky, Avril Lavigne, Perfect Circle, Alice In Chains, DJ Khaled, Bebe Rexha, DJ Snake, Bibi Bourelly, The Strokes, Juice Wrld, Gente De Zona, Pitbull and Nathaniel Rateliff. While at BMG, Katz served on the National Music Publishers Association Board of Directors as well as ASCAP’s Board Of Directors. The Russian-born music mogul immigrated to the US in 1979 with his family. Katz kicked off his career in 1996 as a music attorney and grew his role in the industry to music manager for numerous artists, producer and writers. His entrepreneurial journey began in 2006 when he co-founded record label Beluga Heights with his client/partner JR Rotem. With Beluga Heights he scored millions of albums and tens of millions of single sales with artists including Jason Derulo and Sean Kingston. Raised In Space will fund and provide hands-on guidance to tech ventures that hit every touchpoint of the music space be it creation, registration, distribution, fan-engagement, touring/ticketing, rights management and monetization. Katz and his team are always looking for what’s next at the intersection of technology and music.

 

Seth Shapiro, CEO, Artaku NFT: Two-time Emmy® Award winner Seth Shapiro is the CEO of Artaku NFT, a digital collectible platform and studio dedicated to cultural storytelling and fan experiences for artists, athletes and brands.. A global leader in media technology, he has worked on projects with AT&T, Betfair UK, Comcast, De Telegraaf, DIRECTV, Disney, Goldman Sachs, Intel, IPG, IBM, NBC, Nokia, RTL, SBS, Showtime, Sun, Telstra, Time Warner, Turner and Universal Pictures. An early proponent of blockchain technology, he was previously Head of Business Development at Alphabit Fund, a fully-regulated digital currency hedge fund with $400 million AUM. Mr. Shapiro is an Adjunct Professor at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, and served previously as a Governor at the Televison Academy (home of the Emmys) and as a two-term member of its Executive Committee. Mr Shapiro has consulted on media matters before both the FCC and the Department of Justice. As Head of Production at DIRECTV Advanced Services, he oversaw over 25 service launches, including TiVo by DIRECTV, the world’s first major DVR platform.

 

Travis Cloyd, Futurist in Residence @ FIU, NFT Deal Maker for Historical Legends, WorldwideXR: Travis Cloyd is the CEO of WorldwideXR. A digital licensing agency and NFT/XR production house. He is based in Los Angeles, CA and Miami, FL. He is a member of the Producers Guild of America where he sits on the New Media Council as well as the Education and International Committee's. He is an award-winning producer, experience creator and tech visionary. Recognized in 2021 as one of the top 250 on the Forbes list of Next 1000 Entrepreneurs. He is the Futurist in Residence at Florida International University. As well as Director of iSTAR (Immersive Studio for Altered Reality) and an Adjunct Professor at FIU and ASU (Arizona State University). He is also on the Global Blockchain Business Council as the Arts, Music and Entertainment Ambassador. Over the years he has created digital content for major international studios, iconic brands, legendary actors, global musicians, top athletes and historical figures. As CEO @ WXR, he is breaking new ground and leads the industry in creating and protecting virtual human IP content based on historical figures for all facets of the diverse digital ecosystem.
