| Monday, September 19 2:15 PM - 3:30 PM Track II: Movies and TV for Mobile - Original Entertainment & Information Programming Jumpstarts the Revolution In this session, we will approach the question of original entertainment, from the TV and film industries, to the mobile consumer. Will anyone be able to remember a day when they couldnt watch a football game on their mobile device or watch the news? Want to check out a movie? Why not tune in via a mobile device while youre waiting on line at the airport? Why not watch The Apprentice in the car on the mobile? Seems logical. In fact, seems like an idea that should have always been around. While thats the way we may look back on it five years from today, but today we are proud to bring together a group of executives from content and mobile companies who are now making this idea possible. Movies and TV content specifically for the mobile user, it here, weve got it and in this session were going to talk about it. Dr. Phillip Alvelda - Chairman and CEO, Idetic: Dr. Alvelda is the CEO , Chairman, and cofounder of Idetic, Inc., Previously, Dr. Alvelda was the founding CEO and CTO of The MicroDisplay Corporation, a manufacturer of ultra-high resolution miniature displays for portable systems and low cost HDTVs. Prior to MicroDisplay, Dr. Alvelda was a developer of spacecraft hardware and software systems for image processing and data compression at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Dr. Alvelda holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Cornell University and received his Masters and PhD degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.Bill Stratton is vice president of business development for Turner N etwork Sales (TNS), the domestic distribution, sales and marketing arm of Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. (TBS, Inc.). In this capacity, Stratton is responsible for executing all non-linear platform distribution for the Turner properties including broadband, VOD, interactive television, wireless technology and Wi-Fi. Stratton is based in Atlanta and reports directly to Kevin Cohen, senior vice president of interactive & enhanced television, TNS. A seasoned Turner veteran, Stratton has held positions with Turner Sports and CNN. Most recently, Stratton served as director of business development for TNS, focusing on broadband distribution and Video On Demand. Throughout his career, Sanders has served as Vice President of Original Programming for HBO and supervising producer for the channels award winning comedy series "Dream On". In addition, he has held positions at Universal Television, Warner Brothers Television, and ABC. Sanders has a bachelor of arts degree in communication from Stanford University.Frank Chindamo, President and Chief Creative Officer, Fun Little Movie s: Frank Chindamo is the founder and President of Fun Little Movies, the first Hollywood studio to specialize in original, live-action mobile comedy content. FLMs new "Fun Funny Phone Films" include: Humorous headlines in "Comedy USA," Sci-fi parody "Spacey Movie," and "The MiniBikers," where little people on little motorcycles fight crime
a little at a time. Fun Little Movies have previously been made for networks including HBO, Showtime, CBS, PBS, Playboy, Comedy Central, and MTV. They have won 20 awards and honors including a finalist's place for Best Short at the Cannes Film Festival. A leader in mobile content, FLM won Best Comedy at CTIAs World's Smallest Film Festival for "Love Bytes." Frank Chindamo is also an adjunct Professor of Screenwriting at the University of Southern California, and a member of USCs ground-breaking Mobile Media Institute. He also teaches Film Producing at the Art Institute of California in Santa Monica. As Executive Director of the Screenplay Workshops at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute, Chindamo has developed and/or consulted on fourteen produced feature film scripts. Frank has taught the Professional Screenwriting Workshop at Sony Studios and at the Gotham Writers Workshop, and has worked as a script consultant on numerous projects.
