Andrea Zapata serves as EVP, Head of Ad Sales Research, Measurement and Insights at Warner Bros. Discovery. In this role, Zapata oversees research for Warner Bros. Discovery’s portfolio of linear and digital brands, marketplace intelligence, category and client insights as well as outcome focused research for advertisers. Zapata brings a wealth of experience in media where she has brought an innovative approach to her work, demonstrating the value and impact that research, data and insights can have on a business. Previous to her role at Warner Bros. Discovery, Zapata served as Head of Research, Data and Insights for WarnerMedia. Prior to WarnerMedia, she was Vice President of West Coast Sales at Vevo, responsible for building on the momentum of their US sales teams’ in-market strategy and maximizing the value of premium music videos. In addition, Zapata has held research leadership positions at Effectv, and Hulu. At Hulu, she built the research practice from the ground up, making critical changes in the company’s go-to-market sales narrative.


Ana Salas Siegel serves as Executive Vice President, General Counsel for NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises and oversees all legal resources, including the division’s Business & Legal Affairs team. As a key member of the senior leadership team, she is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the legal department and supervising all legal and business affairs issues impacting the group. In addition to overseeing strategic and complex commercial agreements, Salas Siegel works closely with NBCUniversal’s corporate legal resources on transactional, litigation and employment law, as well as intellectual property, labor relations and compliance matters. Salas Siegel has been in the media and entertainment industry for almost 20 years. Previously, Salas Siegel worked at Fox Latin America Channels for 12 years, most recently serving as Senior Vice President & General Counsel, Business and Legal Affairs. In that role she was responsible for all legal matters relating to their pay TV channels, and production and sports facilities in Latin America, in addition to managing and developing the legal department. During her tenure, she also served as Senior Vice President & Deputy General Counsel for Fox International Channels. Prior to that, Salas Siegel served for four years as the Director of Business & Legal Affairs at Universal Studios Networks Latin America Inc. In her spare time, Salas Siegel sits on the United Way of Miami’s Women’s Leadership Council. She is also a member of the Florida Film and Entertainment Advisory Council as well as a board member of the Coral Gables Arts Cinema (non-profit independent art house cinema). As an alumna of Amherst College, she has served on the Presidential Selection Committee as well as the Alumni Trustee Nominating Committee. Salas Siegel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Amherst College in Massachusetts, a law degree from Harvard Law School and is a member of the American Bar Association as well as The Florida Bar and The D.C. Bar. In addition, she holds a Certificate in International Business Management from Georgetown University and a U.K. Solicitor’s Certificate from Oxford University. 


Deirdre Thomas, Managing Director, US Audience Measurement, Nielsen: Deirdre is responsible for the commercial strategy and growth of Nielsen’s core U.S. audience measurement product suites: Nielsen ONE, National TV, Local TV, Audio, and Scarborough. Deirdre brings deep digital and x-media expertise to her role, having previously focused on digital solutions and clients. She joined Nielsen in 2011 and has served in a range of digital and x-media focused roles during that time, including client solutions, product, research, and product marketing. Deirdre began her career as a consultant with McKinsey & Company, where she was a Business Analyst and later an Associate in the San Francisco Office. She has also managed online performance marketing for QuinStreet and Hotwire. Deirdre graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Princeton University and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School. She hails from New York and currently lives in Charlottesville, Virginia with her husband, two young children, and a growing menagerie of pets.


Grant Michaelson, Vice President, Business Affairs, Disney Branded Television: As vice president of business affairs at Disney Channels Worldwide, Michaelson has a background in entertainment litigation and has moved from entertainment law firms to his current in-house position with Disney, where he works in the realms of Disney +, Disney Channel, and Disney XD. Michaelson will discuss his journey with intellectual property in the entertainment industry, and will describe the intellectual property foundations of Disney and the intellectual property careers in law within Disney's legal affairs department.


Jason Brown is SVP, Advertising Sales at DIRECTV Advertising where he oversees all revenue lines, including national and regional sales for both DIRECTV and DIRECTV Stream products. He is passionate about the future of converged, addressable, and data-enabled TV and strives to enrich the experience for advertisers and consumers alike. Jason is most proud to lead a best-in-class and industry-recognized sales organization that delivers leading addressable, digital and data-enabled solutions driving value for brands and engaging customers. Prior to the newly relaunched DIRECTV Advertising, Jason lead WarnerMedia’s and Xandr’s addressable business through various states of change. The constant was a team focused on helping transform a largely legacy TV sales model to an audience-first approach across addressable, digital, and programmatic inventory streams, resulting in material growth for the company. For the 10 years leading up to his position leading national advertising sales for DIRECTV, followed by AT&T AdWorks, Jason has been innovating marketplace models for networks in industries like Cinema and Digital Place-Based Media from the ground up, including in his role as EVP of National and Regional Sales for Screenvision.


Jonathan Hurd has more than 30 years of consulting and industry experience in Telecommunications, Media, and Technology (TMT). Jonathan has recently been leading Altman Solon’s unique proprietary consumer survey and simulation techniques to analyze the consumer trends in video viewing, movie theater attendance, and sports TV. He has worked with video distributors on product design and pricing of traditional and OTT services and has also been advising broadcast and cable TV networks on product and pricing strategy. In addition, Jonathan is frequently involved in conducting due diligence projects for potential investors in the TMT space, including areas such as traditional video delivery, internet video delivery, wireless infrastructure, digital advertising, and digital publishing. A regular presenter at Digital Hollywood, Streaming Media, and other industry conferences, Jonathan is also a member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the group charged with investigating and selecting EMMY award recipients for innovative TV technology. Prior to Altman Solon, Jonathan was a Vice President with ADVENTIS, a TMT-focused strategy firm, and was a partner Mercer Management Consulting. Jonathan also held marketing and strategic planning positions at Lotus Development Corporation and he designed and created the Atari arcade video game “Food Fight” while working as a developer. Jonathan received a BS in Computer Science and Engineering from MIT, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is a member of the Eta Kappa Nu Electrical Engineering Honor Society and the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society.
