Maya Lasry is the Chief Marketing Officer for Seven Bucks Companies. During her tenure, she’s quickly shaped and grown the company’s in-house marketing arm whose purview includes projects from film, television, digital, and branding. As a trailblazer she creates meaningful and revolutionary ways to harness her skillful content development process, unique social media marketing tactics, and knowledge of consumer-driven insights, in order to reach audiences in organic and authentic ways, beyond traditional marketing avenues. Maya creates audience engaging assets strategically aimed to engage Dwayne Johnson’s 492+M followers across social networks in efforts to amplify all campaign initiatives in a holistic fashion. Prior to joining Seven Bucks Companies, co-founded by Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia, Maya was at Universal where she was an integral part in the success of films and the ability to captivate audiences through creative advertising materials. Her year of experience on the studio side aids her now in collaborating with studio colleagues to create strong and innovative campaigns and partnerships, with an audience first mentality. Most recently, the team led by Maya, strategized how to best bring BLACK ADAM to the world. Along with Warner Bros., they created worldwide appeal for the film making appearances at key events in over half a dozen markets ahead of premiere. In addition, they executed an authentic, behind-the-scenes social campaign parallel to the traditional one, given Dwayne’s large audience a front row seat to every step of the process. The result was having BLACK ADAM top the box office three weeks running thus far and already surpassing $300M globally. In the streaming space late in 2021, Maya worked together with Netflix to facilitate an unparalleled global launch of RED NOTICE resulting in it becoming Netflix’s most successful film of all time with 364,020,000 hours watched in its first 28 days. Along with the film, the team lead a 12 Days of Red Notice giveaway initiative which promoted the movie along with several brands from within Seven Bucks Companies, with the aim of driving anticipation for the movie while giving back to fans. Teremana tequila launched at the start of the pandemic shutdown in March 2020 and Maya was instrumental in making it the fastest growing spirits brand to date, as confirmed by Shanken News Daily. Maya took this to the next level in July 2021 as mentioned above, creating a fan experience to coincide with the JUNGLE CRUISE premiere. The team organized a thank you event for the support of fans in Downtown Disney. They provided tacos and Teremana tequila via the “Mana Mobile,” organically linking Teremana with the film launch and creating great brand awareness and interest in the community. The Mana Mobile then embarked on a road trip across the U.S. to bring MANA and thanks to Americans at a wide variety of locations throughout the country from military bases and fire stations to local community events while at the same time introducing them to Teremana brand tequila.
