Takashi Nakano is the Senior Director of Business Development and Content Acquisitions leading content strategy and execution of Samsung TV Plus, Samsung’s free, ad-supported streaming video service. As a leader in the tech and consumer electronics industry with the simple goal of making compelling content available to viewers, he brings creative content and technology together across converging OTT platforms.


Bethany Atchison, Senior Director, Distribution Partner Management, Vevo: As Vevo’s Senior Director of Distribution Partner Management, Bethany Atchison leads a team that both fosters new CTV distribution partnerships and elevates existing relationships. Through these partnerships, Bethany and her team help Vevo expand its viewership across a variety of platforms and viewing formats in the US, Canada, UK, EU and other key markets. They also ensure Vevo programming is optimized for each partner and promoted through their various marketing initiatives. Prior to working at Vevo, Bethany gained over a decade of media experience working at Showtime, OMD, and MediaCom.


Charlotte Maines is the Director of Fire TV Advertising, Monetization, Sales and Engagement at Amazon. In her role, Maines is responsible for the Fire TV device P&L, including marketing, monetization and building ad-supported experiences on Amazon devices that make screen time with family and friends more enjoyable. She is focused on helping Fire TV's more than 50 million active users worldwide discover and watch all the content they love. Maines joined Amazon in 2013 as the launch Product Manager in the nascent streaming entertainment organization, leading the launch of the first Fire TV and Fire TV Stick in 2014. After two years managing the Fire TV business, she took on Prime Exclusive Phones, Amazon’s Android phone program that introduced the hands-free Alexa experience to mobile. She then led the launch of the Prime rewards program in Whole Foods Market stores nationwide before returning to Amazon Devices to focus on advertising and monetization strategy. Today, she manages the Fire TV business, inclusive of Display and Video Advertising products and on-device monetization, demand generation, customer engagement and revenue. Maines has an MBA from UCLA Anderson and a BA from Dartmouth College. She lives in Seattle with her husband and her sons (age 4 and 6 months), and is training for her 33rd marathon.


Jeff Clanagan is an award-winning producer and innovator in entertainment, serving as President & Chief Distribution Officer of HARTBEAT, Kevin Hart’s global, multi-platform media company. At HARTBEAT, Clanagan leads HARTBEAT Media, connecting consumers around the world through events, gaming, music publishing, Web3 initiatives, and an expansive distribution network. He oversees the strategic vision and expansion of HB Media, leading the company’s flagship consumer brand – the LOL! Network – which reaches audiences across O&O social media, audio (SiriusXM) and OTT partners (Peacock, Roku, Tubi, PlutoTV, Vizio, Redbox, Xumo). Projects he recently or currently is producing include Die Hart, Hart to Heart, Olympic Highlights, So Dumb It’s Criminal, Kevin Hart: Zero F*cks Given, and more. He has been behind highly successful experiential projects as a producer of Nick Cannon’s Wild N Out Tour, and Kevin Hart: Reality Check. HARTBEAT was formed in 2022 from the merger of Hart’s two entertainment entities - Laugh Out Loud and HartBeat Productions. Prior to his role with HARTBEAT, Clanagan was CEO of Laugh Out Loud, a global comedy brand and multi-platform company, where he oversaw development, production, distribution and experiential efforts. He was previously CEO of Codeblack Films and Codeblack Digital, a film production and distribution company dedicated to super-serving the black community worldwide. Clanagan has broken new ground with his digital-first approach to the successful release of films The Perfect Match and the Tupac Shakur biopic All Eyez On Me ($27M its first week). He partnered with Hart to produce and release concert movie Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain ($32M at the box office), comedy concert Kevin Hart: What Now? (marking first comedian to headline an NFL stadium), and stand-up comedy tour, What Now? ($100M+ and 1.3M tickets sold). Clanagan began as a concert promoter for the “HBO Def Comedy Jam” tour, NWA’s “Straight Outta Compton” tour, Mary J Blige, Will Smith and Jazzy Jeff. He was previously President of rapper Master P’s No Limit Films, cultivating the startup into a $40M juggernaut multimedia company and the pioneer of the urban home video sell-thru market. Clanagan has successfully marketed and distributed home entertainment properties The Def Comedy Jam series, BET’s Arabesque Films, and The Fat Albert TV series; and has released 300+ movie titles grossing $350M+ in revenue. Clanagan has been awarded the Pioneer Award from the African American Film Critics Association (AAFCA), the Game Changer Achievement Award from Uptown Magazine and Kia Motors; and named to Ebony’s Power 150, and Black Enterprise’s Top 50 Power Brokers.


Ira Rubenstein, Chief Digital and Marketing Officer, PBS: As Chief Digital and Marketing Officer, Ira Rubenstein leads digital consumer experiences and marketing for PBS. In this role, Rubenstein focuses on continuing PBS’ digital evolution through the development, implementation and scaling of world-class digital services and marketing content strategies. He also oversees the business intelligence group and leads comprehensive marketing programs to acquire, retain and engage audiences across platforms for the benefit of member stations. Rubenstein joined PBS in 2014 as Senior Vice President and General Manager, PBS Digital, and led the expansion of PBS’ general audience and children’s content to mobile devices, over-the-top (OTT) services and other digital platforms. His accomplishments include an updated PBS.org, which yielded dramatic growth in traffic to station websites and online station donations. He spearheaded the development of Passport, a video offering available through member stations that provides donors on- demand access to a rich library of public television programming. He also led the expansion of PBS Digital Studios, PBS’ network of online-original content. Rubenstein has more than 20 years of experience leading digital entertainment businesses. Prior to PBS, he was Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors for mobile media company MeeMee Media. Rubenstein also served as Executive Vice President, Digital Marketing for 20th Century Fox where he established the Digital Marketing organization and led the team behind ground breaking social and mobile campaigns for Prometheus, Chronicle, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, X-Men: First Class, and other major motion pictures.


Stefan Van Engen, Vice President, Content Programming and Partnerships, Xumo: Stefan Van Engen develops, leads and executes the content programming and acquisition strategy for Xumo, Comcast and Charter’s streaming platform joint venture. His oversight includes Xumo’s FAST service, content store and app partners. Since joining the company in 2016, he has launched VOD and FAST channels on XUMO for providers such as the PGA Tour, History Channel Shorts, Hallmark Movies and More, and Fox TV’s Divorce Court – all industry first FAST channels. Xumo currently has more than 250 channels and 12,000+ on demand choices. Prior to Xumo, Van Engen was the SVP of Programming and Production for the digital startup Bedrocket Media Ventures and, before that, co-Executive Producer of “The Gayle King Show” for O.W.N.


Tim Hanlon is the Founder/CEO of the Chicago-based Vertere Group, LLC – a boutique strategic consulting and advisory firm focused on helping today’s most forward-leaning media companies, brands, entrepreneurs, and investors benefit from rapidly changing technological advances in marketing, media and consumer communications. Tim has over 25 years of extensive executive experience in traditional, digital and “emerging” media & marketing – as well as a deep understanding of both modern-day media economics and the disruptive challenges roiling today’s ad/media industries. His strategic and operational expertise is especially sought after in the increasingly convoluted “TV-meets-digital-video” space – including areas such as connected TV (CTV) & over-the-top (OTT) video; subscription & ad-supported streaming video (SVOD/AVOD/FAST); “virtual” pay TV (vMVPDs); addressable/DAI (dynamic ad insertion) ad targeting; TV/video measurement & analytics (ACR, watermarking, cross-screen, etc.); broadcast “NextGen TV”/ ATSC 3.0; and programmatic ad technology. In a prior life, Tim created and led corporate ventures practices at marketing agency holding companies Publicis Groupe and Interpublic Group, overseeing 70+ early-stage investments and partnerships – including dozens of successful M&A and IPO exits with notable firms such as: PlutoTV (acquired by ViacomCBS); Data+Math (LiveRamp); Clypd (AT&T/Xandr); Sling Media (Echostar/Dish Network); Navic Networks (Microsoft); Brightcove (IPO); and Visible World (Comcast), among many others. Previously, Tim was Senior Vice President/Director, Emerging Contacts for Publicis’ iconic media agency Starcom MediaVest Group, where he was chiefly responsible for pioneering all US client activity and agency initiatives in the field of emerging media technologies – including the establishment of the firm’s ground-breaking “TV 2.0 Practice,” centered around evolutionary television platforms. Among numerous industry honors, Tim is most proud of being an inaugural recipient of Interactive Television Today’s “Leadership in Interactive Television Award” - way back in 2004. His insights into the future of media, advertising and marketing are regularly seen in major electronic, print and trade press outlets. He is also the creator, host and producer of the award-winning sports history/pop culture podcast "Good Seats Still Available" – devoted to the exploration of what "used-to-be" in professional sports. Tim holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth Graduate School of Business, and a BA from Georgetown University.
