The impact of AI on all industry sectors, from Entertainment and Communications to Law and Manufacturing is ongoing and clearly transformational. For those of you who have tried AI or perhaps have even become “Expert” in AI application, you are well aware of its significant impact and the problems it may present. While job loss may be balanced by new and creative industry innovation, there is no question that AI presents a future of ethical and technological unknowns and question marks.

Kartik Hosanagar is an entrepreneur and the John C. Hower Professor of Technology and Digital Business and a Professor of Marketing at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Kartik’s research work focuses broadly on the digital economy, in particular on human-AI collaboration and AI applications in creative domains. He is a ten-time recipient of MBA or Undergraduate teaching excellence awards at the Wharton School and his research has received several best paper awards. Kartik co founded and developed the core IP for Yodle Inc, a venture-backed firm that was acquired by Web.com. Yodle was listed by Inc. Magazine among America’s fastest growing private companies. He "coined" the phrase "Algorithmic Bill of Rights" in his book A Human’s Guide To Machine IntelligenceHe has served as a department editor at the journal Management Science and has previously served as a Senior Editor at the journals Information Systems Research and MIS Quarterly.


Elizabeth Kiehner is Chief Growth Officer at Nortal, a multinational digital transformation company leading sales and business development, marketing, and strategic growth through M&A. She has 8 years of experience as an executive in the global technology services space with a 25 year career history as an entrepreneur, keynote speaker and award-winning author. Before joining Nortal, Kiehner was a Vice President of Enterprise Transformation at Capgemini Invent. During the start of the global COVID-19 pandemic, she set up the Digital Transformation Office of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Before that, she spent over 5 years at IBM, establishing a global Experience Design Center of Excellence within IBM Services as well as a sales team focused on IBM’s largest global accounts.


Orly Lobel is the Warren Distinguished Professor of Law at the University of San Diego and the award-winning author several books and numerous articles. She is the Director of the Center for Employment and Labor Law, and founding member of the Center for Intellectual Property Law and Markets at the University of San Diego. Lobel is a prolific speaker, expert, commentator, and scholar who travels the world with an impact on policy and industry. A graduate of Tel-Aviv University and Harvard Law School, Lobel clerked on the Israeli Supreme Court and is a member of the American Law Institute. She also served as a military intelligence commander in the IDF. She has recently been named as one of the most cited American legal scholars. Her books You Don’t Own Me: How Mattel v. MGA Entertainment Exposed Barbie’s Dark Side (Norton 2018) and Talent Wants to Be Free: Why We Should Learn to Love Leaks, Raids and Free Riding (Yale University Press 2013) are the winners of several prestigious awards, and she has received several grants for her research. In 2016 Lobel was invited to Washington DC to present Talent Wants to be Free at the White House, a meeting which resulted in a presidential call for action. In 2020 she was the keynote speaker and advisor to the Federal Trade Commission on labor market competition policy and she continues to advise state and federal agencies
Her new book The Equality Machine: Harnessing Digital Technology for a Brighter, More Inclusive Future (PublicAffairs 2022) is a contrarian constructive response to debates on AI, automation, and datafication. The book examines distributive justice and the potential – as well as risks – of digital technology to tackle inequities in our labor markets, media, government, health, family, and intimate relations. The book reveals the costs and inequities of privileging privacy and slowing down automation.


Ilke Demir is a rising leader in the world of deep fake research. Beyond deep fakes, Ilke’s research focuses on 3D vision, computational geometry, generative models, remote sensing, and deep learning. She earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Purdue University in 2016, where she also completed a master’s in the same discipline. Before joining Intel Labs in 2020, Ilke worked with Pixar, Facebook, and the startup DeepScale, which was acquired by Tesla. Ilke’s research at Intel Labs has involved the creation of FakeCatcher with fellow researcher Umur Aybars Ciftci.


Michael Olaye, SVP and Managing Director, Strategy & Innovation, R/GA: With an illustrious career spanning over 25 years in the digital industry, Michael has seamlessly intertwined technology, creativity, growth, and product development to establish his distinguished reputation. Currently holding the position of Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Strategy and Innovation at R/GA, he brings forth his exceptional expertise and visionary leadership. He works with industry-leading organizations, creating products and services powered by automation within Health, automotive, travel, and finance. Michael has held a variety of C-suite roles that give him a unique insight into how technology turns organizations on or off, from being the CEO of ad agency Dare, where he was responsible for repositioning the agency as an experience-driven digital company - and as Group Chief Technology officer at Oliver Agency and Head of Technology & Innovation at Havas London. Between 2001 and 2010, Olaye worked at digital creative agency U-Dox, where he was a founding member and head of digital and served clients including Adidas, Nickelodeon, and EMI. Earlier in his career, Olaye worked as a software engineer and flash animator. Olaye studied Electrical Engineering at the London Metropolitan University. Michael's outstanding contributions have garnered widespread acclaim, reflected in his receipt of numerous prestigious accolades, including Cannes Lions, LIA, D&AD, Guldagget, Eurobest, Cristal, and Clios.


KENNETH HERTZ is a Senior Partner in the Los Angeles law firm of Hertz Lichtenstein Young & Polk LLP. Ken and his partners specialize in representing talent and media companies in the sports and entertainment industries. The firm's clients include Will, Jada Pinkett, Jaden, and Willow Smith, H.E.R., Gwen Stefani, The Black Eyed Peas, will.i.am, Snoop Dogg, Keke Palmer, Simon Sinek, Esther Perel, Keith Richards, Herbie Hancock, Jason Mraz, David Blaine, Jamie Oliver, and Annie Leibovitz. Ken is also a principal in memBrain - an entertainment marketing and strategy consulting firm. memBrain's clients include Intel, Hasbro, UBS, and Logitech. Ken is a frequent speaker and commentator on the subjects of entertainment, marketing, and convergence. He has been quoted in the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and Wall Street Journal; has appeared on CNBC's "Business Nation;" and has taught graduate classes at the business schools of Stanford, USC and Berkeley; and has held adjunct professorships at UCLA's Anderson School of Management, and USC's Gould School of Law.
