| Thursday, March 8 11:15 AM - 12:30 PM Session D: Live Entertainment on the Net Special event webcasts on the Internet do not have to be an exact copy of whats on TV. They can take on their own characteristics. For example, the biggest webcasts on the Internet so far are a tie between the rover landing on Mars and the runway models at Victorias Secret. All kidding aside, Internet webcasts range from small groups who are holding interactive meetings to large broadcast style events. However, as all webcasters know, it is not a do-it-yourself affair, you need substantial technical infrastructure as well as a marketing and partnership plan to succeed at a large broadcast style event.
