| Wednesday, March 7 Keynote Presentation 12:30 PM - 1:45 PM Jonathan Seelig, Founder & Vice President Strategy and Corporate Development, Akamai Technologies Jonathan Seelig is a founder of Akamai and is the vice president of strategy and corpor ate development. In this position, Jonathan focuses on building relationships with domestic and international backbone providers, hosting companies and ISPs. He is responsible for deployment of Akamai's FreeFlow network and has formed partnerships that have made Akamai's content distribution network the largest of its type in the world. Jonathan heads up the Akamai Accelerated Network Program, whereby global ISPs can become part of Akamai's network at no cost to them. He also develops technology and business partnerships with technology leaders across the content delivery arena. Previously, Jonathan worked for ECI Telecom in Tel-Aviv, Israel, where he led teams in network design, equipment deployment and customer training for international telecommunications projects. In that role, Jonathan also served as the primary link between ECI's engineers and its customer base for a product that generated more than $10 million in annual sales. His telecom experience has included projects in more than 30 countries, where he used the four languages that he speaks fluently. Jonathan is on a leave of absence from his studies at MIT's Sloan School of Management to put full-time attention on launching Akamai. He graduated with honors from Stanford University with a BS degree in physics. |
