The idea of broadband entertainment networks is now, not only an accepted model of programming, theres a feverish rush to get into the business. If you are among those who still think that streaming video has a problem because it is too herky-jerky and doesnt compare to a broadcast signal, forget about it, because like the overnight arrival and popularity of MP3 technology, this is the year of streaming video programming. Miller left college in 1978 to play music in Manhattan nightclubs. As an independent software consultant, Mr. Miller has worked on numerous audio, video, and multimedia applications through the years. In 1991 he began development of digital video compression and transmission techniques in response to perceiving critical needs in the industry. The third generation of the technology, TrueMotion VP3(tm), is currently being used by On2 to develop the Internet's first network of Web channels exclusively for broadband consumers. In tandem, On2 is now enabling Web developers and content providers to deliver their video assets in full-motion, full-screen, TV-quality over the broadband Web.
