Mikhail Gorbachev, former President, Soviet Union

We are pleased to announce that Mikhail Gorbachev, former President of the Soviet Union, a member of the Club of Budapest, has agreed to address the Entertainment Globalization Initiative in the October 2nd Keynote presentation, from Moscow, on the subject of "Global Media and Ethics."

President Gorbachev will be joined by Dr. Ervin Laszlo, renowned Evolutionary Systems Scientist and Futurist and President of the Club of Budapest, who will be present at the Keynote to issue the Club of Budapest's "Declaration on the Essential Ethics of the Media." The Club of Budapest is one of the foremost organizations championing the new thinking and new ethics required for the transition to a sustainable world.

Through the leadership of Dr. Laszlo and its members who include luminaries from the Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu, to Milos Forman and Jane Goodall, the Club of Budapest has had an ongoing impact on opinion leaders around the world. Their soon to be announced "Declaration on the Essential Ethics of the Media" will be a challenge to the global entertainment and media industries, to set new ethical standards.

The Entertainment Globalization Initiative is honored to been chosen as the forum for the presentation of the "Declaration." It will not only make for a fascinating discussion, it may well have a significant impact on the future of the entertainment and media industries.
