An experienced new media executive, Gubbins served as Vice President, Editor-In-Chief, and Executive Vice President at Whittle and Primedia (then K-III Communications) properties. While at Whittle, he helped create and launch communications properties generating more than $150 million in revenue. An accomplished photographer and writer, Gubbins' photographs have appeared in Rolling Stone, Photo Metro, and been exhibited at the Detroit Public Library; his writing credits include publication in Graphis, ESPN Magazine, Print, and Photo Metro. Additionally, Gubbins received a Gold Award from the New York Festival for his writing work on the TV documentary, Skyscrapers: Vertical Masterpiece, chronicling the construction of the world's tallest building in Shanghai. Richard Bohnet is the President and CEO of Enroute Imaging, the leading provi der of professional and consumer immersive imaging tools. Mr. Bohnet spearheaded the companys entry into the next-generation market of immersive video with the launch of the FirstPersonTM Immersive Video system. Enroutes FirstPerson is the only 360 video system on the market today to offer NTSC-quality and full-motion navigation. Mr. Bohnet has over 30 years executive management experience in developing emerging markets for industry-leading companies including Fairchild, Motorola and Acumen. Driscoll, Jr., President, BeHere: Dr. Driscoll is the Founder, President and CEO of Be Here Corporation. Under his direction, the companys iVideo was named one of the top 15 products at NAB 2000. Be Here was also awarded Internet Showcase Peoples Choice Award in 1997. Prior to founding Be Here, Driscoll was the President and CEO of Focus Surgery, a pioneer in image-guided, non-invasive medical devices. Driscoll was also the principal founder of Diasonics, a leader in diagnostic medical imaging, where he served as Corporate Vice President and CTO. Driscoll has been a guest lecturer at numerous universities in the U.S. and abroad, and he has been a presenter at many tradeshows including SIGGRAPH, SPIE, MacWorld, and Seybold. He is the principal inventor of ten granted or pending U.S. patents, with a dozen international equivalents. Driscoll holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania, two Masters of Science degrees from Harvard. Driscoll furthered his studies of digital imaging by earning his doctorate in Remote Sensing-Digital Imaging from Stanford University. Hapet Berberian, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Integrated Systems, RemoteReality: Hapet A. Berberian has 30 years of experience in product and business development with digital imaging products, Internet publishing, and electronic photography. Mr. Berberian joined RemoteReality from IQ Data Systems, a division of GammaGraphx, Inc. where he was Vice President and General Manager. Prior to IQ Data, he was Senior Director of Business Development and Technology Licensing for Eastman Kodak's color digital imaging technologies. Mr. Berberian also held the position of Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Boston University and began his career as a staff engineer at MIT's Draper Laboratories. Mr. Berberian earned his MSEE from Brown University in 1969 and his BSEE from University of Rhode Island in 1967.Richard Qian, Ph.D., Senior Researcher and Architect, Intel Architecture Labs, Intel Corporation: Dr. Richard Qian is a Senior Researcher and Architect with the Intel Architecture Labs at Intel Corporation, where he is leading research in the field of multimedia content and modeling, analysis and description. His present research interests also include human-computer interface, mobile computing and digital infotainment. Dr. Qian has published frequently in the field of computer vision and been granted a number of patents for various multimedia applications. He has also been an active participant in standard activities such as MPEG-7. Prior to joining Intel, Dr. Qian was a researcher at Sharp Labs of America in Camas, Washington, where he worked on video analysis and description. He received a Sharp outstanding R&D award in 1998. Dr. Qian received a B.S. degree in computer science from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. He received M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Gregory Peter Panos is Founding Co-Director of the Performance Animation Society Robert J. Holtz, the founder of Zeros & Ones, Inc., is the Chairman of the Board of Directo rs and President of the Company. From 1991 to 1994, Mr. Holtz was the Director of Special Projects for the television post-production facility, Action Video, Inc. During his tenure, Holtz developed several production techniques and technologies currently used by the entertainment industry to digitize and share motion picture images in collaborative projects. In the early 1990s, Holtz participated in Microsofts Win32 Group which guided the development of the Win32 kernel the core of the Microsoft Windows operating system shared by Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, and Windows 2000. Mr. Holtzs accomplishments also include the creation of the first completely-automated credit card clearance and merchant protection service center for an independent processor, as well as the creation of the first fully-automated credit card commerce system for the nationwide sale of movie theater admission tickets. Mr. Holtz is an active member of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, the Society of Television Engineers, the Association of Computing Machinery, and a charter member of the International Multimedia Association. |
