| Wednesday, September 27 Keynote Session 12:20 PM - International Ballroom Mads Lillelund, Vice President, New Media, Service Provide Netwo rk Business, Lucent TechnologiesMads Lillelund is the Vice President of New Media for Lucent Technologies Service Provider Network (SPN) Business. Mr. Lillelund is responsible for the team that develops and implements the end-to-end global strategy and solutions for the New Media sector. His group is charged with leveraging Lucent's strengths in building and managing the network infrastructure required to create, manage and distribute digital content. Prior to his current assignment, Mr. Lillelund was Director of Global Channel Partner Marketing in Lucent's SPN Business. He was responsible for strategy, sales and marketing programs, and channel partnerships worldwide. From January 1997 to January 1999, Mr. Lillelund was based in Dublin, Ireland as Managing Director of Lucent's Global Commercial Markets (GCM) for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). In this role, he managed the sales, marketing, finance, technical support and customer support functions. He served on the company's EMEA Leadership Board and was a Board Member of GCM Sales Ireland. GCM is the largest indirect sales team in EMEA and works with over 700 channel partners and major end users in all market segments. Based in Brussels, Belgium from 1991 to 1996, Mr. Lillelund pioneered the GCM expansion into Central and Eastern Europe and CIS. He established the first sales and marketing teams, as well as channel partners. Over the years, he helped build and transform the business to become the leading region for profitability and revenue growth. Mr. Lillelund was the Regional Director for Central and Eastern Europe from 1994 to 1996. From 1988 to 1991, he held positions with Den Danske Bank and Chase Manhattan on Wall Street in New York City, where he managed the respective banks' currency trading desks and corporate currency funds. Mr. Lillelund, a citizen of Denmark, holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Baylor University in Texas, and a Master of International Management degree from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) in Arizona. He is currently located in Warren, New Jersey, the headquarters for Lucent Technologies' SPN Business. He also serves as a board member of Lucent Technologies Sweden, which is the Headquarters for the Nordic Region in EMEA. |
