This is a special pannel which will be tackled the issues of challenges and opportunities Chinese film and entertainment industry will face after China enters the World Trade Organization (WTO) and Beijing 2008 Olympic Games in the near future. China has always been a gigantic cultural reservior. However, the Western world has accepted it slowly. Now China is embracing the world, armed with new ideas and technologies such as the digital revolution and the information superhighway which affect all segments of social life including the movie ,TV and related entertainment industry.With the increase of various channels due to popular satellite transmission, movie audience worldwide are crying out for quality feature films from or about China. This demand is coupled with China's willingness to participate in creating a golden opportunity to supply the world audiences with what they want and at the same time generate profits.In this session, ! we welcome a group of producers and directors and business executives, governmental officials who represent this wide range of interests and experience.
