Marc Steatham, Chief Marketing Officer, AllCast: Mr. Steatham is responsible for Marketing, Strategy and Business Development. He has over 16 years experience leading marketing and business development efforts in the telecommunications and Internet infrastructure sectors. Mr. Steatham was the Senior Director for Marketing and Business Development for the Americas for Madge.web, a major European content delivery network. Previously, he held senior management positions with British Telecommunications North America from 1994 to 1999. Mr. Steatham began his career with British Telecommunications in 1988, and worked in Germany and Japan before coming to work in the company’s United States operations. Mr. Steatham is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing in the United Kingdom. He is a Graduate of Leeds University.

Dan Rayburn is Worldwide Product Manager of Streaming Media for the Globix Corporation (NASDAQ: GBIX) - a worldwide provider of sophisticated Internet-based solutions, co-location and dedicated Internet connectivity, to large- and medium-sized businesses. Mr. Rayburn came to Globix to start this unique division that would address the growing needs for streaming media solutions - the hottest new  format for distributing video over the Web - on the Internet. Mr. Rayburn has been producing Webcasts since the inception of streaming media technology in 1995 and was involved in producing some of the first cybercasts on the Internet. Mr. Rayburn is considered a leading authority in his field and  has given numerous lectures worldwide on streaming media technologies and has been featured on CNN and CBS. Prior to Globix, Mr. Rayburn co-founded a New York-based Webcasting production company where he produced hundreds of live streaming events for high-profile entertainment clients. Previously, Mr. Rayburn worked as a systems engineer for Apple Computers after having served in the U.S. Air Force. Dan is one of the founding board members of the IWA (International Webcasting Association) http://www.webcasters.org and writes for many publications on streaming media trends and technology.

Tim Carruthers is the senior director of the Professional Services Organization for iBEAM Broadcasting Corp. Carruthers is responsible for overseeing all aspects of pro services. Prior to building the PSO division for iBeam, Carruthers ran all production for the streaming media leader. Carruthers was the president and co-founder of Webcasts.com, a pioneer in interactivity for over a decade breaking new ground in broadband applications, the Web and interactive television (ITV), prior to its merger with iBEAM in April of 2000. Before taking his position as Webcasts.com he was vice president of programming for The Computer Television Network, a cable channel dedicated to technology and learning. In the early 1990’s, he worked for GTE Mainstreet-Interactive Television, overseeing all broadband and multimedia interactive designs including Jeopardy! Interactive(first fully two-way version over private network). Prior to GTE, Carruthers was the senior vice president of The William Carruthers Company, where he became an expert in live and remote broadcast production for a wide range of events including entertainment awards programs, sports and concerts. His experience as a broadcaster and interactive designer has earned him awards in the cable, network and interactive industries, and he was recently named one of the Top Convergent Executives to watch by Electronic Media.

Abdelsalam (Solom) A. Heddaya, Ph.D., Chief Scientist, InfoLibria: Dr. Heddaya has more than 13 years of research experience that is directly relevant to InfoLibria's caching, prefetching, and replication technologies. Prior to joining InfoLibria, Dr. Heddaya was an associate professor at Boston University, where he collaborated in the research and development of patent-pending technology. Dr. Heddaya holds a Ph.D. in computer science from Harvard University, and a B.S. degree in computer engineering with first class honors from Alexandria University, Egypt. Dr. Heddaya has served on the program committees of the 10th IEEE International Conference on Distributed Computing Systems, and the 2nd IEEE International Symposium on Computers and Communications. He has given numerous invited talks both in industrial and academic settings, and has co-authored a book entitled Replication Techniques in Distributed Systems (Kluwer, 1996). Keith Hatounian, Vice President Sales, Generic Media: Keith Hatounian is an experienced speaker and session leader as well as an expert in business and sales analysis of streaming media. With over fifteen years of international sales and marketing experience in the technology area, Hatounian has a strong knowledge of how streaming media benefits specific markets and businesses and how it can be incorporated into a company to create revenue. At Generic Media, Hatounian is responsible for new business developments and sales of Generic Media products and services. Before joining Generic Media, Hatounian spent nine years in enterprise sales and marketing at Apple Computer, where he managed national and international digital media sales accounts. During his tenure at Apple, Hatounian fostered a strong customer focus and client service approach. Most recently he planned and executed Apple's strategy for digital video content creation and delivery, successfully building critical channels and customer partnerships. Eric Toperzer, Director Solutions Marketing, Applications & Content Delivery Solutions, Nortel Networks: Eric Toperzer brings over 11 years of telecommunication and data networking industry experience to his assignment as Director of Solutions Marketing of Nortel Networks Personal Internet business. He currently directs solutions development and marketing, as well as lead customer activity for Internet infrastructure solutions serving the applications and content delivery service provider market. Since joining Nortel Networks in 1990, Eric has led the company in working with several new partnerships in emerging markets. Under his leadership as a business development manager for the Nortel Networks’ European Business Unit, he worked with the newly licensed operators market to develop and launch advanced data services. As senior manager of vertical marketing, he led the development of Nortel Networks’ market strategy and DSL business thrust into the higher education market. Eric’s experience includes technical sales, marketing and business development roles in the Internet and service provider markets, both in the US and abroad. He earned a bachelor of science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and a Master’s in Business Administration from The Ohio State University.




Jim O’Brien, Director, Footprint Streaming Services, Digital Island: As Director of Footprint® Streaming Services at Digital Island, O’Brien has responsibility for developing and driving the company’s market strategy for the delivery of streamed content over the Web. His charter includes defining the technical direction of Digital Island’s streaming services as well as managing revenue growth in this cutting edge area of the Internet. Previous to joining Digital Island in August of 2000, O’Brien was director of Business Development at Channelmatic-LIMT, where he was responsible for strategic product development and and key OEM, distributor and customer accounts. A pioneer in the deployment of computer-based control and video server systems in broadcast, cable, satellite and streaming server markets, O’Brien is a recognized expert in in the field of TV Station control systems, with special emphasis in their integration with Web streaming. He has over 20 years of experience working with many of the world's largest television networks, TV station ownership groups and cable TV MSO's, relating to control systems, video servers and web streaming strategies. O’Brien has extensive industry experience in business development, product management and sales and has held key positions at ASC/Leitch, New Media-Los Angeles, Wexler Video and Visions International. He is an active member of SMPTE, SCTE and ITVA and is a graduate of Kansas State – Pittsburg.

Jay Goldin, co-founder, Digital Fountain: Jay co-founded Digital Fountain with Michael Luby in 1998. He has extensive experience in business and organizational development as a management consultant with the Pacific Rim Consulting Group in Hong Kong and China. Jay also co-founded Alyanza Infosystems (Nasdaq: NIKU) in 1997. He received his BA in Economics in 1991 and MBA from Stanford University in 1998. Digital Fountain is the leading innovator in Internet content delivery to TV-scale audiences with its patent-pending Meta-Content technology. Vincent Grosso, CEO, Into Networks: Grosso is a telecommunications and entertainment industry veteran. An early proponent of interactive television at AT&T, he has been widely recognized as a pioneer on the forefront of new media for more than two decades. Under his leadership, Into Networks commercially launched the most complete streaming software platform available today that features best-in-class streaming software technology and integration services, a widely distributed content delivery network secured through distribution agreements with network providers around the world, and an impressive portfolio of Into-powered Web sites. Most recently Grosso was Vice President and General Manager of NBC Interactive. As general manager of NBC Television Network’s Interactive Neighborhood, Grosso extended NBC’s leadership into the local Internet marketplace by creating a network of more than 100 local affiliate Web sites. Previously, he was with AT&T for nearly two decades in a variety of executive positions, most recently, as president of AT&T’s Downtown Digital Solutions division, where he developed leading-edge software applications, programming and custom Internet hosting. Grosso is credited with initiating the first two-way interactive television trials in Chicago in 1990. Later, he led AT&T’s interactive television trials with Viacom, GTE and PacTel. Grosso received a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Loyola University in New Orleans.
