In this, the final session of the day, we bring together a group of the most experienced professionals in the emerging field of broadband advertising and content delivery and we look forward to it being a truly visionary look into the future of the marketplace. The projections on broadband penetration are now becoming more clear, but what can we seriously expect from the merger of content and commerce? That’s the question that we hope to explore. What will e-commerce look like in the next three years? Will the B to C relationship become a megahit or is it still possible that it will fail to measure up to the expectations? Let’s find out.

Sebastian Holst, Vice President Marketing, Artesia Technologies: As the Vice President of Marketing for Artesia Technologies, Sebastian provides overall strategic direction for all of the company's marketing initiatives, including product marketing, channel marketing, corporate communications, strategic alliances and advertising. Prior to joining Artesia Technologies, Sebastian was Vice President of Strategic Marketing for Inso Corporation. At Inso, he led both strategic and product direction for a suite of content management, asset management, and electronic publishing products for the Internet. In his 15 years in the commercial software industry, Sebastian has held general management, product management, business development, and engineering positions for DBMS, 4GL, and even biotech companies.





William H. Mutual, Chairman and Founder of POPcast Communications: William Mutual is one of the leading pioneers in the streaming media industry, and founded one of the first Webcasting companies in 1995, ITVnet. Mr. Mutual then began POPcast Communications, which Webcasts some of the largest events around the world such as, the Grammys, the Tony Awards, U2 World Tour, the Summer Olympics, and the Cannes International Film Festival. Mr. Mutual's leadership has allowed POPcast to rapidly expand its Personal Video Network service, which is licensed to many of the top web portals today. A film composer by trade, Mr. Mutual has over 15 years experience in digital media. An expert in networking, video technologies, and audio engineering, he is a sought after speaker on the subject of Webcasting. Mr. Mutual is a founding Board Member of the IWA (International Webcasting Association), a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, New Media council, and has completed the highly acclaimed Julliard Creative Music Studios Masters Program.

Jay Diamond, CEO & President, mediadome, Inc.: As President and CEO, Diamond is responsible for overseeing the overall strategic direction and management at mediadome, Inc. Diamond is a ten-year veteran of Intel Corporation, where he held multiple roles in marketing and engineering. Most recently, he managed interactive marketing for the Intel Inside® program, where he established the Internet direction for the world’s largest cooperative advertising program. Prior to that, he created Intel’s initial Internet positioning strategy for desktop PCs and was the technical strategist for the original mediadome website, an Intel marketing program. In a technical marketing role with the company, Diamond served as the corporate evangelist for client-side Internet technologies and the PC audio industry, mobile architectures, and neural networks. He holds one patent and has another pending. Since receiving his Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manitoba in Canada in 1990, he has authored several publications and has lectured around the world on technology, marketing, and advertising.

Joe Berchtold is a Principal in the Los Angeles Office of McKinsey and Company. Joe joined the Firm in 1986 as a Business Analyst and upon completion of business school rejoined McKinsey as an Associate in 1991. Joe leads the West Coast Media and Retail practices, working extensively on strategic, marketing, and operations issues. Current and recent work includes: Developing the on-line strategy for a major media company. This strategy included the roles of new media content production, promoting off-line content, and creating a digital content distribution platform. This project resulted in the creation of a 5-year plan to build the businesses. Developing the "go to market strategy" for a leading wireless company. This work involved developing the product positioning and pricing plan for driving the company's leading enabling technology into a solutions platform. Developing digital distribution strategy for a major entertainment service company. The new strategy resulted in a major acquisition to acquire needed skills and technolog. Conducting an internal research effort to analyze the on-line behavior of broadband users, with a specific focus on understanding the use of entertainment content. This effort is seeking to establish the baseline of usage via broadband vs. narrowband to inform application and content development. Co-leading McKinsey's internal broadband special initiative to integrate and extend the Firm's current thinking on broadband infrastructure, enablers, and application. Building an integrated B2B and B2C marketplace/hub for an incumbent industry services provider. The effort resulted in a proposed plan to liquidity providers for joint ownership of the hub. Joe graduated from Pomona College where he earned his B.A. in Economics. He was awarded the Wall Street Journal Award as the most outstanding business student and was selected to conduct graduate-level study in Oxford. Joe earned his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School where he graduated as a Baker Scholar (top 5 percent academically) and Loeb Fellow (top four students in finance).

Alex Kanakaris, CEO, Kanakaris Wireless: Alex Kanakaris combines a sweeping vision of the Internet, revolutionizing the convergence of information, entertainment content, and e-commerce. Tuhin Roy, EVP Strategic Development, Echo Networks: Tuhin joined Echo Networks after working as an attorney at Perkins Coie, a leading Silicon Valley law firm representing Internet companies such as Yahoo!, Amazon.com and Real Networks in strategic partnering, venture capital finance, initial public offering and M&A transactions. For six years prior to law school, he ran a successful music production and publishing company whose products sold more than two million copies and yielded Billboard #1 records. As a producer and songwriter, he developed relationships with senior executives and label heads at most of the major record labels. Tuhin's musical preferences currently lean toward electronica.
