Alex Quilici, Vice President, AOL Voice Services, AOL: As Vice President for the AOL Voice Services division, Alex Quilici led the development of and currently manages the AIM Phoneline services. Prior to that, Quilici helped found the AOL Voice Services group, developed and managed the AOLbyPhone service, and led the group's product strategy. Before joining AOL in 2000, Quilici served as CEO and co-founder of Quack.com where he drove the development of the Quack consumer voice portal which led to its acquisition by AOL. Prior to this, Quilici was a professor at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. During his tenure, he co-authored a research monograph, over 10 journal papers, more than 40 conference publications and a leading textbook on software development that is still in use today. Quilici earned his A.B., M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California in Los Angeles.
Scott Faber, Creator/Co-Founder and General Manager, Ether: The idea for Ingenio - to combine the Web and the telephone to create voice-commerce applications -- came to Scott Faber as he was riding in a New York City taxicab listening to a network of drivers chatting on an all-night conference call. He now leads Ingenio's Program Management department and seller community as well as Ingenio's new division, Ether. Prior to Ingenio, Scott was a new-media consultant in Bertelsmann AG's Corporate Executive Program, playing key roles in several of its Internet start-up companies. Scott was part of the core global team that launched BOL, Bertelsmann's e-commerce response to Amazon.com; he also worked in Germany for Bertelsmann, helping to develop BMG's European music-on-demand strategy and launching GameChannel. Before Bertelsmann, Scott worked for Disney Publishing and the Wall Street Journal Interactive Edition. He received his MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and is an alumnus of Yale University with undergraduate degrees in English literature and mechanical engineering.
Gunjan Bhow is Vice President of Marketing and Product Management at Actionte c Electronics. In this role, Bhow oversees all aspects of business strategy, product roadmap, and corporate marketing. Bhow is particularly focused on digital entertainment and personal communications solutions that enrich the broadband home. Prior to joining Actiontec, Bhow was Director of Platform Product Strategy at Microsoft Corporation in the Home and Entertainment Division. In this role, he managed market research, product strategy, business planning, and roll-out plans for Microsofts digital TV software platform for broadband service providers worldwide. A passionate believer in everything-on-demand future of digital entertainment, Bhow led the strategic planning for software products surrounding EPG, VOD and DVR, for cable operators in North America, Europe, and Latin America. A veteran of the digital media space, Bhow enjoys a unique and global perspective on digital media, spanning technology, business and long-term trends in digital video. As a technologist, Bhow did pioneering work in digital video and 3D animation beginning at Corel Corporation in early 1990s developing and launching products covering digital illustration, video editing and playback such as Micrografx Designer, PhotoMagic, CrystalGraphics Flying Fonts, and 3D Vortex. He was responsible for launching some of the worlds first consumer digital video applications in partnership with companies including Sony and Microsoft, including 3D Impact for Windows 95. Leveraging his technology passion on the business side, Bhow led strategic venture capital investments at Telesystem, a global broadband company with carrier holdings in 40 countries. His focus was on telecom carriers around the world investing in emerging digital media technologies, including Deutsche Telekom, British Telecom, France Telecom, and Singapore Telecom. Bhow also led the product management team at Oracle Corporation in charge of developing the next generation of visual authoring tools covering web animation and digital media. Bhow has spoken at conferences worldwide including CES, Digital Hollywood, Comdex, SIGGRAPH, TieCon India, Videomaker Expo, and Arts Alliance Summit in London - covering digital media topics ranging from distribution technologies, consumer user-interface, and enhanced content. Bhow holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from University of California at Berkeley. He has founded a computer literacy non-profit institute in India, and is also a visiting scholar at Nirma Institute of Management, a leading graduate business school India.
Monty Sharma, Vice President Product Management and Marketing, Vivox: With extensive experience in communications, hosted services, broadband, and networking e-business models and markets, Monty Sharma is uniquely qualified to serve as Vivoxs Vice President of Product Management and Marketing. Before joining Vivox, Sharma was vice president of business development at Jamcracker, Inc., where he focused on managing the interactions between large numbers of service providers. Prior to Jamcracker, Sharma served as vice president of Novell Service Provider Network at Novell, Inc. and played a key role in creating an independent business unit and brand that provided software and professional services to carriers, ASPs, and Novells extensive reseller channel. Sharma also held management positions at Nova Scotia telecommunications service provider, MT&T, where he served as chief technology officer of Mpowered PC deploying leading edge DSL and ASP solutions. He began his career working for a variety of consulting organizations including Business Development Information, Inc. and Software Experts.
Michael Levit is the CMO of Paltalk, the largest voice and video chat community. Michael has 12+ years Internet Marketing experience which includes establishing Broadband and Affiliate marketing at AOL, co-founding Kmart's online venture Bluelight.com, and founding and running Accentures Internet Center of Excellence. Michael holds a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Business Economics from U.C. Santa Barbara and Oxford University.
Shawn M. Lewis - Chief Technology Officer, VoIP, Inc.: Shawn M. Lewis overse es all technological and engineering activities of the VoIP, Inc. Prior to accepting the CTO position, Mr. Lewis was President and CEO of Caerus, Inc. and its three subsidiaries, Volo Communications, Caerus Networks, Inc., and Caerus Billing & Mediation, Inc. Shawn Lewis wrote the patent for the first Softswitch and SS7 Media Gateway for XCOM Technologies, Inc., a CLEC he co-founded at the time of the Telecommunications Act in 1996 and directed before its acquisition by Level 3 in 1998 for common stock, options and warrants valued at $154 million. Level 3 proceeded to make these patents public, which created the packet communications industry. His next venture, set-top box vendor, River Delta, sold to Motorola. His third successful venture, Caerus, Inc. empowers carriers and service providers to begin selling advanced services and realizing revenues and profits immediately. The market has enthusiastically responded to Caerus' approach and service offerings.
