Michelle McGuire Christian, Senior Manager, Technology Strategy & Architecture
, Deloitte Consulting, LLP: Michelle is an IT industry veteran with almost 20 years of customer experience, mobile and social technology systems strategy, architecture, development and implementation experience for global Fortune 500 companies. Michelle is a Senior Manager in Deloitte Consulting's Technology Strategy & Architecture practice based in Los Angeles and her clients include Disney, T-Mobile, Warner Bros., Sony and Verizon. Michelle's experience runs deep in the convergence of traditional IT and emerging technologies such as social media and mobile technologies. Michelle specializes in the delivery of a comprehensive go to market apps that engage and integrate with existing social networks and mobile capabilities. Michelle drives mobile strategy development for her clients by working with digital teams to bring a high-quality digital strategy to life, helping clients meet the realities of today and tomorrow. Michelle guides clients through the use of social media in the evolution of the Social Enterprise by leveraging social data to drive significant sales increases and customer conversion through social listening (e.g. twitter, facebook, tumblr, etc.) and sentiment analysis. Michelle has built and architected platforms that convert tweets into sales by identifying potential customers from what they are saying in social media via #hashtags and @handles and converting them into buyers of products through segmentation analytics and social data sentiment analysis (how people feel about a certain product or level of service both as a consumer segment or individually). This tweet to sale process has revolutionized how clients drive customer engagement by anticipating their needs with predictive analytics engines and sensing technologies. Michelle joined Deloitte from CNN where she worked for over 10 years in the global digital strategy organization responsible for consumer facing mobile apps like CNN iPad, iReport and CNN Pipeline.

Liz White, Vice President & General Manager, PEOPLE & Entertainment Weekly Digital; Liz White oversees PEOPLE Digital and Entertainment Weekly Digital, Time Inc.'s two largest entertainment properties reaching over 30 million monthly users across all digital platforms. Prior to additionally joining Entertainment Weekly, Liz served as General Manger for PEOPLE Digital, driving business operations for the brand's rapidly growing digital platforms and products. She led the team in the creation of PEOPLE's first native ad products, the adoption of responsive design across platforms, and has been instrumental in key partnerships and brand extensions on behalf of the brand and across Time Inc. Previously, Liz directed PEOPLE's digital marketing and sales planning efforts, developing the ad product and monetization strategy for the site. Prior to joining Time Inc. in 2005, White worked at The Westport Company helping Fortune 500 clients design and develop various digital products. Liz has a B.A. from Trinity College and an MBA from Columbia Business School and the University of California, Berkeley.

Liz Coughlin, Head of West Coast operations, MATTER, Inc: Liz brings over 18 years of experience in digital media, entertainment marketing, content creation, production and distribution, experiential, and business development. She joined MATTER from Young Hollywood, a celebrity driven digital media company where she was SVP Business Operations, responsible for business development, revenue/strategy, and digital operations. Prior to Young Hollywood Liz spent a decade at Yahoo!, most recently heading Yahoo! TV and omg! at Yahoo! Entertainment where she was responsible for overseeing the US-based businesses, which developed the platform for omg!, the fastest growing property at Yahoo! globally. Under her leadership, these properties experienced all-time highs in unique users, page views, revenue, video streams, and premiere partnerships. During her tenure at Yahoo!, Liz was also involved in corporate strategy, strategic partnerships, and large scale events, creating several innovative media partnerships including with US Magazine, ABC, Reveille, among others, and events including the Clinton Foundation Concert, and Super Bowl 2012 (featuring live streams of 50 Cent and Pitbull performances). Prior to Yahoo!, Liz spent 6+ years in the agency world at Digitas, serving clients such as American Express, LL Bean, and Dell, and she also spent two years searching for a dotcom hit at Petopia and iMotors during the internet frenzy.

Michael Tanaka, Head of Business Development and General Manager, WhoSay, Inc.: He oversees
the WhoSay office in LA and is responsible for all strategic partnerships across TV and film, social networks, publishers, agencies, brands and more. Michael bridges the gap between talent, their projects, endorsements and businesses who want to reach their fans. Prior to WhoSay, Michael held the position of SVP, Strategic Partnerships at IDInteract, Inc., a big data startup focused on identifying demand signals across mobile and social media channels and helping enterprise clients connect with their most influential customers. Before IDInteract, Michael led global partnerships across all verticals for Fox Mobile Group, and served as Head of North American carrier relationships for mile subscription products generating $60 million+ in revenue. Additionally, Mike was responsible for branded entertainment partnerships and synergy programs across News Corporation properties. Before Fox Mobile, Michael was a digital music pioneer as an early employee of and Vivendi Universal Net USA focusing on music subscription products, a la carte download and mobile music services. Michael received his BA in Marketing from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and resides in LA with his wife and son.

Ariel Elazar, Senior Vice President, Digital, Dick Clark Productions: Ariel Elazar heads dick clark productions’ digital division serving as the company’s resident new media expert. In his role, he oversees the development, production, distribution and marketing of the company’s live and on-demand digital programming initiatives, as well as the web, mobile, and social media strategy initiatives for all of the company’s flagship shows.

Jon Vlassopulos is the founder and CEO of Trailerpop, the ultimate playground for discovering entertainment, powered by a proprietary game-driven video engagement platform for mobile. Jon is an entertainment and media executive with global expertise in digital and mobile brand and advertising businesses. He has a more than 15 year proven track record of turning companies around, establishing new marketing models, launching new divisions and business units as well as establishing a market leadership position for his enterprises. Prior to founding Trailerpop, Jon has served as CEO of award winning mobile entertainment firm skyrockit, where he built innovative branded entertainment content for companies like Sprint, Verizon, GAP, Intel, VitaminWater and Kraft. Dubbed a digital media and advertising visionary by The Hollywood Reporter, Jon has created successful industry firsts, in areas blending mobile, games, Internet, television and music. Before skyrockit, Jon was the senior vice president of digital media and branded entertainment for Endemol, the world's largest independent production company. At Endemol, he was responsible for its worldwide digital business, where he honed his interactive entertainment expertise. Jon is credited with launching the marriage of TV and games with 1 vs. 100, Deal or no Deal, and more, as well as producing games that were successful on multiple platforms including Xbox, online, and mobile. Jon served as senior director of business development & strategic partnerships at AT&T Wireless, where he gained expertise in mobile discovery & marketing as well as running media services. At AT&T Jon ran the music licensing and ringtone business, negotiated major consumer brand promotions and led the division responsible for tracking trends and developing trendy apps. Early in his career Jon was at Bertelsmann, where he helped to create BMG's global digital strategy and held multiple executive positions with other Bertelsmann divisions in New York, Hong Kong and Tokyo. He holds a degree from Durham University and is fluent in French and Mandarin. Jon got his start as a DJ and radio host, from where he nurtured his love of music & entertainment, building a career that blended interests in original content, emerging platforms and marketing innovation.
