Uday Navile, Vice President, Communication and Media Solutions, NTT DATA, Inc.: Uday Navile is a seasoned management and technology consulting executive with specialized focus on providing innovative, transformational and cost effective solutions for global clients in Telecommunications, Media and Entertainment industries. With over 20 years of professional experience in technical and management consulting roles, Uday has worked with leading global brands in M&E, Telecom and Pay TV segments while holding leadership positions at IBM, Hughes Networks, Verizon (formerly, Bell Atlantic), Hughes STX Corporation and Texas Instruments in USA and India. Most recently Uday spent close to 13 years at IBM where he held several sales and delivery leadership roles including as an Associate Partner in Communications Sector at IBM US leading the Smarter Media growth play and managing several marquee client accounts, and as the Vice President for Media & Entertainment services at IBM India and South Asia where he started and built the M&E practice from 2007 thru 2010 from a nascent business to one of IBM India’s top three industries. He has also participated as a panelist and speaker in several Media & Entertainment industry external conferences. Uday possesses a deep understanding of the "as is" processes in Telecom and M&E segments for the entire Digital Content Ecosystem (Content Acquisition and Production through Distribution and Archiving) for Broadcast Television, Pay TV (terrestrial, cable and satellite operators), Print and Publication, Filmed Entertainment and Mobile segments. His specialization includes conceptualizing new business models for media companies to maximize on monetizing existing content in new consumption channels including OTT and non-linear syndication. Uday has also led the design and rollout of new solutions that leverage the power of cloud computing to address the massive storage and media processing needs in M&E ecosystems (Media Clouds). Uday currently holds the position of a Vice President at NTT DATA, with specific focus on leading the Communication and Media industry solutions competency. In this role, Uday has been responsible for defining the Point of Views for the various segments within the Communication and Media industries as well as managing the portfolio of solutions to help inject innovation into the industry processes within these segments. Uday lives in the Greater Washington metropolitan area (since 1993) and enjoys reading, watching movies and sports (NFL, NBA and Cricket).

Michael Bishara, VP and General Manager, TV Everywhere, Synacor: A TV Ev
erywhere visionary, innovator and boundary-breaker, Michael Bishara, largely credited as a force behind the successful launch of HBO GO, was recently named as Synacor's Vice President & General Manager of TV Everywhere. Bishara's expertise will ensure Synacor's cable, satellite, telecom and consumer electronics customers have all the content, apps and services they need to deliver breakthrough user experiences. Bishara says, "There is tremendous opportunity to grow awareness about and demand for TV Everywhere by building audiences around branded online content and by understanding swiftly evolving consumer behavior and technologies." Prior to his current position, Bishara was Senior Vice President, HBO Broadband /Digital Group where he was responsible for the overall strategy, development and rollout of broadband products, including HBO GO. Before HBO, Bishara held marketing and product leadership roles at industry giants Time Inc. and AT&T. In 2010, Bishara was named by Multichannel News editors as one of the Visionaries, Innovators, Power Brokers: 40 Under Forty for helping HBO grow and succeed as he oversaw the development and rollout of innovative products like HBO GO, which has become an industry benchmark, helping to shape the future of TV / media.

Chris Wong, Senior Vice President, Business Development, Ooyala: Before joining Ooyala, Chris was CEO of the new media company PathConnect. He also has served at Agile Software as EVP and Chief Product Officer, and at PeopleSoft as VP of Products and Technology Strategy. He was the co-founder and CEO of SkillsVillage, Inc., which he led from start-up to its 2001 acquisition by PeopleSoft. Chris has a B.A. in Applied Mathematics from the University of California at Berkeley.

Braxton Jarratt, CEO, Clearleap: Jarratt leads Clearleap, a privately held company focused on building solutions that are driving the evolution of video content management, distribution and monetization. Top cable programmers and video service providers use its services. Clearleap's ClearFlow media services quickly and cost-effectively processes digital assets, speeding delivery of linear and on-demand content from programmers to distributors. ClearPlay streaming services offers video service providers the complete toolset to manage a TV Everywhere experience to any connected device. The executive has driven innovation and growth in senior management roles with technology and media companies, most recently as senior vice president of marketing and business development at Tandberg Television (an Ericsson company) where he led the rapid expansion of the company into the North American television market and video on demand (VOD) software business. There he launched and secured key customers for Tandberg's pioneering television distribution, management and advertising products, contributing to the acquisition of Tandberg by Ericsson for $1.2 billion in 2007. Braxton joined Tandberg through their $120-million acquisition of venture-backed startup N2 Broadband, where he drove key deployments of the company's on demand software in nearly every VOD site in North America. Previously, Braxton worked at Cox as director of product strategy for the cable division and general manager in the interactive media division, where he launched the first broadband Internet content service in partnership with @Home. Braxton's first tech startup experience was as the head of commercial services with Primenet, an Internet startup purchased by GlobalCenter. Braxton received his Bachelor's degree in engineering from Dartmouth College.

Josette Bonte, Chief Strategy Officer, CTM: Institute for Communication Technology
Management, Marshall School of Business, University of Southern Californi: Bonte is a digital media and filmed entertainment expert. She spent the first 11 years of her career as film and television industry executive in Hollywood and the past 14 years in the fields of telecom, interactive television, broadband content and online games. Josette joins Cisco from Cookie Jar Entertainment, the producers of the acclaimed Kid’s TV series: Arthur, Caillou, Zaboomafoo, The Doodlebops, etc., where she was the VP of Digital Media. As such, her responsibilities included negotiating distribution agreements with all the new media platforms (telco VOD, IPTV, broadband and mobile) in the domestic and international markets. She previously served as Ovum’s Vice President of Content and IPTV, working on IPTV deployment strategies with service provider clients like AT&T, France Telecom and BT. Besides her consulting experience while at Ovum and earlier at RHK, Josette has also worked as Chief Content Advisor to the PanAmSat Net 36 Team; where she concentrated on broadband content strategy and customer acquisition. Bonte is also a “telco TV pioneer”: In 1994, she joined then US West (now Qwest) as Head of Strategic Marketing, Entertainment and Interactive Services, where she participated in the company’s early interactive media and VoD trials and soon became the company’s Liason with the Hollywood entertainment industry for content strategy. In the eighties, Josette served as Executive Director of Unifrance Film, where she represented the French motion picture and television industries in Hollywood. She subsequently founded EuroScreen Partners, a film production and distribution company capitalized by European cable operators and banks. Josette received an M.F.A from the UCLA School of Film and Television in 1981 and a Ph.D. in Telecommunications and New Media from the Sorbonne in 1996. She is also the author of a best-selling book published by French publisher PUF in 1995 entitled La Television a la Carte aux Etats-Unis.

Tal Simantov is General Manager for AOL On and the co-founder 5min Media. Tal recently led the launch of The AOL On Network, the new overarching brand for AOL's video offering. The AOL On Network is a curated video experience across 14 content channels, programmed with the most relevant video on every topic. Reaching 53M viewers, The AOL On Network runs on 40+ AOL owned & operated properties, as well as partner sites and multiple devices. Tal became part of AOL following the acquisition of 5min Media in September 2010. He originally developed the 5min concept of putting online video to good use back in 2006, andhas been one of the creative forces behind the company, co-leading it to be the largest online video syndication network. Tal specializes in innovative online marketing and distribution strategies to enhance partner engagement and drive revenue through new market segments. Prior to co-founding 5min Media, Tal served as a senior Strategic Planner at McCann Erickson. He holds a degree in Business Administrating and Law from the IDC, Hertzelia, and currently lives in New York.

Jonathan Hurd, Director, Altman Vilandrie & Company: Jonathan Hurd joined Altman Vilandrie &
Company in 2006. He has more than 20 years of consulting and industry experience in communications, media and related technology sectors. Jonathan’s primary areas of expertise include business and marketing strategy, new business creation and launch, integrated consumer and business services, and customer and sales channel segmentation and targeting. Jonathan’s experience in the IPTV realm includes customer targeting, partner evaluation, demand modeling, and business case development. With unique insight into competitive trends and consumer perceptions about content and communications services, Jonathan works with clients to develop differentiated video strategies. Jonathan’s extensive marketing background enables him to recommend product and marketing strategies that resonate with target audiences as IP-delivered video moves towards broad adoption. Prior to joining Altman Vilandrie & Company, Jonathan was a Vice President with ADVENTIS. Before that, he was a Partner in the Communication, Information and Entertainment practice of Mercer Management Consulting. Jonathan has also served as Vice President of Marketing for a computer peripherals manufacturer, and has held marketing and strategic planning positions at Lotus Development Corporation. In addition, he has served as a software development product manager in industries including financial services, computer peripherals, video game development and management consulting. Jonathan earned a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from M.I.T., and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
