Tara Maitra, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Content and Media Sales, TiVo, Inc.: Tara Maitra is SVP, GM of Content and Media Sales, responsible for developing TiVo’s broadband content strategy, and the company’s interactive advertising and audience research sales efforts. Maitra works with networks, studios and web video providers to build TiVo’s content offerings into a complete service of infinite programming that combines linear TV with video on demand and broadband video through one user interface and search. In her media sales role, Tara and her team provide marketers and agencies with audience viewing data and commercial ratings to help optimize media buying and understand TV viewership in DVR homes. In addition, Ms. Maitra oversees TiVo’s interactive advertising solutions, leveraging TiVo’s user interface and ad units designed to engage viewers in DVR homes and counter fast-forwarding behavior. Previously, Maitra has held executive positions at Comcast, Primedia, and NBC. She has a BA in Journalism and Psychology from Washington and Lee University.






David Lipkin, co-founder, Principal, Method: With nearly 20 years of experience working in creative services, David knows how design can be leveraged as a strategic advantage for his customers. He currently leads business development efforts from Method's New York office, applying his strong financial and legal background to the needs of Method's current and prospective clients. In founding Method, David drew upon his experience working in brand, print, and interactive to build a firm dedicated to the creation of brilliant cross-media, communications and products. During his tenure, he has performed in such roles as Chief Technology Officer, Chief Operating Officer, General Manager of Method's New York office, and (most recently) as VP, Business Development. Prior to founding Method, David was Director of Technology at MetaDesign. He was part of the team that guided the company's growth and expansion from the startup phase to their current position of leadership within the industry. Within the role of Director of Technology, David was key in establishing and building MetaDesign's transformation from a print-oriented studio to one that created brand-oriented multimedia, Internet-based, and application-based products. David has worked with dozens of clients in widely diverse sectors, including Apple, Autodesk, Comcast, the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, CNN, Kiehl's, Gucci, E-Trade, Merrill Lynch, Microsoft, Nike, TED Conferences, Texas Instruments, and IBM. Recent projects include TED.com, Comcast's media portal Fancast.com, and a comprehensive brand system for technology newcomer Organic Motion. Recent speaking engagements have included a discussion of UserExperience and Branding issues for Interactive Television presented to the Interaction Design Association (IXDA), a discussion of Interface Innovation at the Usability Professional's Association and a lecture about Design, Branding and User Interface at Harvard Business School. David has a B.A from Reed College, where he studied history, anthropology, physics, and chemistry.

Shirlene Chandrapal, Vice President Connected TV, Smartclip: Shirlene Chandrapal, vice president Connected TV at smartclip, is a well-known and respected multimedia advertising executive. She has extensive expertise in the online industry on an international level. Currently, Ms. Chandrapal is responsible for driving and implementing smartclip’s Connected TV strategy. Prior to joining smartclip, Ms. Chandrapal was director of Yahoo! Connected TV, where she covered all major European markets and was responsible for strategy implementation, partnership development and product marketing. She led the successful pan-European roll-out for several of Yahoo! products including Yahoo! Direct Response. Previously, she was the commercial director at Bluelithium responsible for sales and product marketing. She also held positions at Opodo as sales and distribution director and at Vodaphone as partner and media manager.








Tom McDonnell, founder Monterosa: As one of the founders of Monterosa, Tom has grown the
company into the UK’s leader in second screen entertainment and technology. As Commercial Director he’s responsible for commercial strategy, operations and as an ex-games developer he maintains a creative steering role. At Monterosa Tom has produced, developed or initiated a variety of groundbreaking second screen social TV projects such as Endemol & Channel 4?s BAFTA-award winning Million Pound Drop, BBC1?s Test The Nation and Apprentice Predictor and the first ever advertiser funded second-screen social TV show New Look Style The Nation.

Ian Aaron, CEO, ConnecTV: the most comprehensive social network designed for TV viewers. Aa
ron founded ConnecTV in 2008 with Stacy Jolna and Alan Moskowitz. The groundbreaking service recognizes the television program you’re watching and instantly syncs to your second screen, automatically triggering relevant content and unprecedented local context. The company is partnered with ten of the biggest local broadcasting companies including Belo, Cox, Gannett, Hearst, Scripps, and the Washington Post-Newsweek Company, representing 73 million households nationwide. Aaron is a 20-year digital media executive with a broad base of operational and strategic experience at the intersection of media, technology and distribution across the US, Europe and Asia. Aaron previously served as CEO and President of public and private companies, including the leading global mobile content and marketing company Twistbox Entertainment, where he increased revenue from $2 million to $40 million in just three years. Prior to working at Twistbox, Aaron also served as CEO and President of Gemstar TV Guide (NASDAQ: GMST), TVN Entertainment and SoftNet Systems (NASDAQ: SOFN). Aaron’s expertise includes major restructurings, turnarounds, startups and advising private equity and venture capital-backed firms in the areas of mobile, social media, digital mapping and large-scale video services. Aaron began his career in R&D and Product Development at GTE residing both domestically and in Japan.  He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Pictometry International, a private equity-backed leading provider of geo-referenced aerial image libraries and related software, and VDIO, a new and innovative streaming social video service created by the founders of Skype. Aaron has served on the boards of various telecom media and technology companies globally and is a frequent speaker at mobile, digital media and investment banking conferences. Aaron graduated from the University of Illinois with degrees in Electrical Engineering and International Business. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California.


Cameron Friedlander, VP, Director of Creative technology, Designkitchen: As the leader of
Designkitchen’s technology practice, Cameron oversees Designkitchen's conception, development and delivery of innovative solutions across a range of media and technology platforms, and steers its teams to embrace the constant evolution of formats, functionality and convergence. Under Cameron’s tutelage, Designkitchen's web development and interactive teams create solutions that seamlessly integrate design and information while ensuring user experience and relevancy. Drawing on 10+ years of leadership and technology expertise, Cameron informs key project phases and deliverables including user experience, technology, business requirements, application logic, user pathway and site flow development, multimedia and video production, and UI/application technology integration. He brings new technologies and user experience models to every project-most notably, pervasive computing and real-time information flow experiences that are pushing the way a user interacts with data (NUI interfaces) and the devices are empowering the user. Cameron is a graduate of the University of Redlands in California with a BS in Computer Science.

Mark Ghuneim, CEO, Wiredset: An emerging media futurist with expertise in the convergence of
television and second screen engagement, technology and behavioral trending, Mark Ghuneim has spent over 20 years in executive ranks of the entertainment industry. His pioneer spirit, coupled with an extensive knowledge of music, television and brand marketing, led him to found Wiredset in 2004, a real-time digital agency and technology incubator specializing in engagement marketing for Fortune 500 brands, networks, studios, publishing companies, and consumer product groups. Two years later, Mark founded Wiredset’s flagship product, Trendrr – a premium business intelligence service that offers highly customized, proprietary tools for analyzing digital and social media activities. Trendrr, along with its television-specific product, Trendrr.TV, is used by media outlets for creative content, consumer engagement and predictive indexes. Prior to starting Wiredset and Trendrr, Ghuneim spent 16 years with Sony Music USA, where he was most recently Senior Vice President for Online Services.
