Lisa Kavanaugh, Senior Product and Technology Officer, is responsible for all aspects of product development, management and strategy for Her technology responsibilities also include the global development of both web and mobile applications that support's search-based Q&A product suite. Known for spotting tech talent and infusing new ideas and processes (such as Scrum-based development) into's tech organization, Kavanaugh previously oversaw technology at's partner network, building the engineering team from scratch and launching a development platform that significantly accelerated Ask's distribution business on an international level. Prior to her work at, Kavanaugh served as a software engineer at Hewlett Packard.  Kavanaugh received a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Beth McCabe, VP/Group Director, Social Marketing & Technology, Digitas: As Digitas' vice president o
f social marketing and technology, Beth McCabe is responsible for leading social execution across Digitas. She has been with Digitas for five years, during which time she has lead technology for the Global Samsung business, as well as supporting clients like American Express, IBM and Diageo. Currently, she is focused on developing Digitas' social execution center of excellence. Beth is a recognized thought leader in social technology, having co-written the first whitepaper on social commerce, as well as a regular on the speaking circuit and a contributor to publications such as Digiday Daily and MediaPost. Committed to corporate and industry citizenship, she leads Digitas New York's Women's Network and is a member of Digitas’ CSR Leadership Team. Recently, she was honored by the Girl Scouts of Greater New York as one of 2011's Women of Distinction. Beth is also a member of Advertising Women of New York and Women in Technology International. Prior to joining Digitas in 2006, Beth began her career as a software engineer, building web applications for a small database company in the U.K. She then set off on her own and built a consulting business, serving the largest retailer in the U.K. as one of her clients. Beth holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Purdue University, where she was a leader in the Women in Science program.

Ali Heron, Director of Products, Tipping Point Partners, LLC: Ali Heron recently joined AppOrchard as
Product Development lead and worked for Microsoft for ten years in three different divisions and on many different technologies, including Instant Messaging, Mobile Phones, and most recently Advertising. At AppOrchard she is responsible for optimizing and leading teams to translate business and customer needs into tools, frameworks and products for the mobile development community.  She has been awarded six patents and has six more pending.  She is current pursuing her EMBA at TRIUM and she holds a Bachelor's and Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.

Joleen Winther Hughes, Founder and Principal, HUGHES MEDIA LAW GROUP: Joleen Winthe
r Hughes founded HMLG specifically to support entrepreneurs and inventors, both big and small, with new business ventures, business and legal strategy and burgeoning media properties, products and services. As a longtime entrepreneur herself, Joleen understands the trials and tribulations of starting and running a successful business and how to allocate and assess risk to get products and services to market. Joleen takes pride in providing legal and business advice to clients to help transform a good idea into a sustainable company. She has set HMLG up specifically to enable clients to set and maintain workable legal budgets and to depend on great communication and interaction with her extraordinary legal team. Before embarking in private practice, Joleen was Senior Counsel at RealNetworks, Inc. for many years at the inception of the digital media era, where she provided a broad array of business and legal affairs services for the company’s global media operations. Joleen participated in the company’s largest transactions in the consumer services/digital media space including forming MusicNet, the first legal multi-label music distribution initiative, putting together the first VOD digital movie subscription service, and drafting and negotiating agreements with major sports leagues, media companies, television networks, movie studios and record labels to create the first on-line consumer content subscription products and services. She was also responsible for developing Real’s casual gaming licensing strategy. Joleen began her entrepreneural career in the music industry, where she owned a successful artist management, talent booking, concert production, and special event business during the height of the Seattle "grunge" music explosion for clients including RKCNDY nightclub, Susan Silver and Kelly Curtis Management (Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Screaming Trees), Media One, Monqui/SLA, The Pioneer Square Pub Club and The University of Washington.

Beth Devin is Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for, an award-winning free service that offers the best way for consumers to manage their bills and accounts online. Under a single password, Manilla gives customers an automated, organized view of all of their account information, text and email reminders to pay bills, renew expiring subscriptions and manage soon-to-expire daily deals, all with unlimited storage and seamless document retrieval. The company is incubated within and backed by Hearst Corporation. Beth is responsible for Product, Engineering, Information Technology and Customer Service. Beth and her team are located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Beth brings 25 plus years of technology development and leadership experience to Manilla from a variety of industries including financial services, retail, telecommunications, and cable broadcasting. Prior to joining Manilla, Beth was CTO of, Inc., the largest online retailer of prints, posters and framing services, and the CTO at Blackhawk Network, a prepaid and payments network and market leader in stored value card financial solutions. Beth held several technology leadership positions at the Charles Schwab Corporation where she supported the Retail enterprise, including the branch, call center and customer channels, the Schwab Retail Bank, and the Services for Investment Managers business. Beth has also held technology positions at Turner Broadcasting Systems, Pacific Bell Directory, and Bechtel Petroleum. Beth is passionate about increasing the number of women in technology and diversity in the field overall. She is a member of American Association of University Women, We are Watermark, and Women in Technology. She participated in a yearlong fellowship program sponsored by the International Women's Forum (IWF) in 2000/2001 and is currently an IWF member. Beth received a B.S. degree in Computer Science from San Francisco State University.

Meghan Asha, co-founder, TalkSession: Meghan Asha is a serial entrepreneur and on-air
commentator. She’s covered events like Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, The World Economic Forum in Davos, DLD in Munich, and Glamour Women of the Year Awards. Ms. Asha does commentary for Fox News, CBS, CNET and CNBC. In 2007, she took her experience as a technology hedge analyst and parleyed it into pursuing her passion: advising web-based startups, and in September 2008, she partnered with Next New Networks and NBC’s New York NonStop to produce and co-host a popular Internet chat show, TMI weekly, a fun, honest tri-weekly talk show about life, tech and style. Currently, Ms. Asha is getting her M.B.A. at Columbia University and is the co-founder of TalkSession, an online video therapy platform. This new venture aims to revolutionize the way people seek wellbeing, counseling and therapy online.
