Dan Rozansky, Partner, Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP: Daniel Rozanskys practice is concentrated in the areas of entertainment, defamation, complex business litigation, class actions and issues affecting manufacturing industries. In addition to his diverse litigation experience, Mr. Rozansky also counsels a broad array of clients on developing the best strategies to avoid disputes. For entertainment clients, he reviews television pilots, screenplays and other material in development to assist those clients in identifying potential liabilities. Mr. Rozanskys areas of expertise include entertainment finance, antitrust, unfair competition, trade secrets, surreptitious tape recording, reality television, profit participation, rights of privacy and publicity, partnership disputes, and First Amendment issues. He represents clients at both the trial and appellate levels in state and federal court on a wide array of issues.
Michelle Parker, Senior Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs - Distribution, Starz Entertainment: Michelle Parker is Senior Vice President of Business/Legal Affairs, Distribution for Starz Entertainment. Parker acts as the lead attorney for all new media and technology matters for the Starz Entertainment pay television business and Starz Media. Parker was most recently Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs, Distribution, a position which she was promoted to in April 2008. Her role includes business affairs support for programming acquisitions and distribution arrangements for the Starz pay television channels and services, acting as the digital privacy officer for Starz, and leading business affairs support for Starz Digital Medias activities, including domestic and international digital distribution. Parker also leads business affairs support for Starz Medias growing domestic and international television distribution businesses. Parker joined Starz Entertainment in 2005 as executive director, business affairs, programming, and was previously executive director, business & legal affairs for Sony Pictures Entertainment, LLC, in Culver City, Calif. At Sony, Parker was responsible for various new media products and services, and supported Sonys media software group. Parker graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law, received an MBA from the Graziadio Graduate School of Business and Management, and received her undergraduate degree from Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, Calif.

Her first "real" jobs in the media industry were as the marketing assistant at KING Broadcasting (radio/TV) and as a PR assistant responsible for publicizing films from Disney, Paramount Pictures and Warner Brothers in the Seattle market. A long-time small business owner, Joleen also co-owns the Celtic Swell Irish Pub & Restaurant on Alki Beach in Seattle.

Chris was a member of the senior management team at IFILM Corporation that completed the $ 49M acquisition by Viacom Inc. (NYSE: VIA and VIA.B) in October of 2005. Earlier, Chris was co-founder, President of Stockpoint, Inc. an ASP financial technology company from 1995-2001. Chris completed a $ 21M M&A transaction with ScreamingMedia (NASDAQ: SCRM), and subsequently served as Executive Vice President at ScreamingMedia through May 2002. Prior to Stockpoint, he worked in the publishing business and held positions at Cosmopolitan Magazine, The Daily Telegraph and Research Magazine. Chris was a pioneer in developing online financial content and application functionality for the financial services community, and was at the forefront of the digital video and social media revolutions creating ways to apply business models to web and mobile platforms.
Jeffrey R. Glassman, Partner, Ervin Cohen & Jeffup LLP: Jeffrey R. Glassman is a partner in ECJs Business & Corporate Department. Jeffreys practice serves entrepreneurs and emerging growth companies as well as middle-market companies. In light of the fact that Jeffrey represents a wide range of businesses, his practice includes general business counseling, corporate and securities, mergers and acquisitions, and business transactions. As outside general counsel to his clients, he also advises them in intellectual property matters, employment and labor laws, and business litigation. In addition, he counsels many of his clients on legal matters large and small as they pertain to daily business operations. An experienced, aggressive business attorney who focuses on cost-effective resolutions to legal issues, Jeffrey prefers a partnership approach when dealing with clients. Thereafter, Jeffrey was recruited by a software development company, Firetalk Communications, in San Francisco, CA, to become their In-House General Counsel. As such, Jeffrey structured and negotiated complex licensing and distribution agreements, joint ventures, and strategic alliances; managed the development of the companys international trademark, patent, copyright and domain name portfolios; supervised the companys corporate transactions; and handled all of the companys employment and labor law matters. Jeffrey then joined a business litigation boutique in Los Angeles formerly known as Enenstein, Russell & Saltz, where he helped establish that firms corporate and intellectual property practice. While at that firm, Jeffrey served as outside counsel to several multi-million dollar manufacturing companies and assisted in complex civil and business litigation matters involving contract disputes, intellectual property matters, and employment and labor law claims. Eventually, Jeffrey and that firms managing partner joined the business law group of Moldo Davidson Fraioli Seror & Sestanovich. Jeffrey practiced at Moldo Davidson until joining Ervin Cohen & Jessup in 2009. Born and raised in Washington D.C., Jeffrey attended the University of Wisconsin and graduated with Distinction in Political Science. While doing his undergraduate work, Jeffrey was selected to participate in a language intensive study abroad program through Hamilton College and, as a result, lived and studied in Madrid, Spain for a year. He went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from American Universitys Washington College of Law in 1995 where he was a Deans Fellow. During law school, Jeffrey spent a summer in Santiago, Chile while he studied international trade and comparative law and worked at Urrutia & Compania, a Chilean-based law firm where he was responsible for structuring international business transactions. Jeffrey also worked in the Office of Latin American Affairs at the United States Trade Representative during the Clinton Administration where he reviewed and analyzed matters related to the North American Free Trade Agreement and World Intellectual Property Organization.
James Lively, COO, DIY Media: Jim Lively is a seasoned professional with over 20 years experience in directing, managing, and executing all aspects of sales and marketing activities in the technology space. Jim has developed high concentrations of capabilities in opportunity identification and qualification, territory management, fiscal and forecast realizations. He joined Wang Laboratories and worked with other large organizations such as Hewlett Packard, IBM, and Banyan Systems, learning and developing key solution selling approaches to client needs. He worked for Axis Consulting and helped developed a key international recruiting organization that built one of the largest SAP consulting divisions in the US, ultimately acquired by Andersen Consulting. Similarly he joined Data Processing Resources Corporation and helped to grow that organization where it was acquired by Compuware. He founded a very successful IT Consulting firm that managed and worked with key Washington State officials to upgrade a state wide computer system that handles the human resources, fiscal, and student information needs of the state's 280 school districts and 1.4 million students. He became the Chief Operating Officer of EDTEK Inc., a solar concentrator Research and Development company where he procured venture capital investment required to finish commercial development of a patented Concentrator design while reorganizing the corporate structure to become a worldwide manufacturing and distribution Company in addition to ongoing Research and Development. The Company was sold to an International buyer. He worked extensively setting up business plans for wind development project Operation and Maintenance support for GE Energy Systems, Suzalon, Vestas, and Mitsubishi wind turbine products and towers. Joining GreenFoot Technologies in an advisory role as its Chief Operating Officer, he was very active with corporations in the Solar, Wind, Biomass, and Smart Grid communities developing strategic personnel fulfillment solutions for the growing demand of quality engineering and business professionals needed to support this growing worldwide marketplace. As the Chief Operating Officer of the premier digital media company DIY Media, his focus has been in structuring the organization for enhanced diversification into a variety of digital offerings to different market industries and providing the highest quality products and tools possible to DIY's customers.
