Ben Crawford, CEO, CentralNic: As CEO of domain name industry innovator CentralNic, Ben Crawford enables online marketers, brands and entrepreneurs to acquire and control the most valuable real estate on the Internet: top-level domains. Following an early career working in licensing and marketing with the major motion picture studios and global cable channels, Crawford played an integral role in the earlier phases of online adoption, particularly in the sectors of sports, gambling and art. In 1996, he negotiated one of the first deals to create content for Microsoft's then-new MSN; from 1998-2000, he was the executive producer of IBM's official site for the Sydney Olympic Games, drawing in 11.3 billion hits in two weeks to set a record for the highest website traffic of the twentieth century; subsequently, Crawford went on to lead media businesses SportBusiness Group, Louise Blouin Media and MutualArt.com, before being named CEO at CentralNic in 2009.
Maryse Thomas, CEO, POKEWARE: As founder and CEO of POKEWARE, Maryse Thomas is responsible for establishing key technology and corporate relationships, and oversees strategic initiatives and business planning activities. In addition to her position as CEO, she focuses on the implementation of effective digital advertising programs, e-commerce solutions and the execution of aggressive revenue goals. Maryse brings deep insight and extensive expertise in emerging and disruptive technologies, knowledge of digital media and interactive advertising and most importantly, common sense. Ms. Thomas focus is to equip advertisers and content producers with POKEWARETMs proprietary tools in conjunction with partnerships that will enable an organic integration of contextual product placement, interaction and measurement. Maryse played tennis at the University of South Carolina where she majored in Biology. She is closely involved with Harlem United and ran the ING NY Marathon in 2009 on their behalf in 4:43:04, successfully raising $90,000 for pediatric AIDS research and treatment. Maryse is also a supporter of The West Hollywood Food Coalition, an organization committed to feeding the homeless of Los Angeles. Maryse is fluent in Spanish, enjoys learning French, playing tennis and competing in golf events. Shes an IFR rated pilot and flies her Cessna 172 whenever possible. She divides her time between New York, Minnesota and California.
Brent Horowitz, Vice President, Business Development, FreeWheel: where he oversees the companys strategic relationships and systems integrations across 70+ partners in the video ecosystem. Before joining FreeWheel, Brent spent nearly twelve years at various internet technology companies, most recently at Homestead Technologies, acquired by Intuit, Inc. in 2007 due in large part to Brents contributions. Prior to Homestead, he managed new channels at NexTag, Inc., a leading comparison shopping site and lead-generation engine. Like many at FreeWheel, before going to NexTag, Brent spent nearly five years at DoubleClick in its early stages, where he helped launch the DART for Advertisers business unit and grow it from an idea to an industry standard. He also held the role of Director of Business Development, Emerging Technologies, for which he had primary responsibility over the digital & interactive television space. Brent is a graduate of UCLA and resides in San Francisco.
Jake Engwerda, Director of Business Development, MediaMind: Jake Engwerda leads MediaMind's west coast team and oversees new partnerships and business development with major advertising agencies. With over 9 years in the media marketing space, Jake specializes in true multi-channel strategy and leveraging technology to achieve communication objectives. Since joining MediaMind in early 2010, Jake has developed new client relations and formed strategic business alliances with 27 Fortune 500 companies, including 6 global advertisers. Prior to MediaMind, Jake worked as a Communication Strategist at Carat from 2008 to 2010, developing communication strategy for Pampers & Gillette. Working in both New York and Toronto he developed and launched the Pampers brand first mobile app for the iPhone and groundbreaking instore executions. Previous work experiences also include, Marketing Manager at Gentle Giant Moving Co., Agency Client Executive at Daily Mail Group and Media Planner at Starcom Worldwide. The native Australian earned his Business Degree Majoring in Marketing and Organizational Behavior at Swinburne University Melbourne, Victoria
Keith Nissen, Principal Analyst, In-Stat: Keith Nissen has held senior management positions with major equipment suppliers and service providers. Keith has over 15 years experience in market intelligence and as an expert consultant in international telecom markets. Currently, Keith is a Principal Analyst with InStat, a global market research firm. He manages the Consumer Media and Content research service, focused on the worldwide market for digital entertainment and related technologies. Research topics include: Web-to-TV, OTT video, web-enabled CE devices, and the evolving business models of the digital entertainment ecosystem.
