Roger Pavane, Senior Vice President, PaymentOne: a digital media, commerce and technology veteran with over 20 years experience in the new emerging media and interactive mobile/online/digital technology space with a long history of building globally recognized companies. Roger’s background sits at the crossroads of mobile technology, digital media, e-Commerce and advertising and is responsible for Global Sales of the PaymentOne AnyPhone Network. Roger served as EVP of Myxer and SVP at Mamma.com. He was co-founder and Chief Revenue Officer of 1 Rage Mobile Media and also served as SVP at Index, Liberty Media and ORA Electronics. He was a Founding Executive at Telecom Products Group International where he served major financial services clients and led the JP Morgan practice. Preceding TPGI he held senior level sales and marketing management positions at Reuters and Satellite Business Systems later acquired by MCI. Pavane holds a BSEE from CUNY, New York. He is an member of the CTIA, MMA, iMedia and other trade associations.



Teemu Huuhtanen, Executive VP, Business Development and Communications, Sulake
Corporation and President, North America, Sulake Inc. As executive vice president, Business Development and Communications, Sulake Corporation and president, North America, Sulake Inc., Teemu Huuhtanen is instrumental in leading the continued development and growth of Finnish-based Sulake’s top property, Habbo, one of the world’s most popular online social networking and virtual world communities for teens. Huuhtanen is responsible for cultivating relationships with major music, television and motion picture studios, as well as retail, fashion and sports industries, to generate relevant and interactive brand partnerships. His mission is to bring real-world mainstream entertainment properties and brands that are important to Habbo’s teen user base into the virtual community. Huuhtanen also oversees global public relations efforts for Sulake Corporation. He leads the Sulake team responsible for the company’s communications and PR. As an accomplished thought leader for the digital entertainment landscape over the past five years, Huuhtanen has regularly been a speaker at the industry’s premier conferences and business forums. He frequently addresses issues such as in-game brand engagement, working with entertainment properties, social networking and online gaming monetization models, among many other topics. In 2008, The Hollywood Reporter ranked Huuhtanen on its “Digital Power 50 List” of top innovators who influence the creation and distribution of online content. In 2009, he was named one of Digital Media Wire’s “25 Executives to Watch in Digital Entertainment.” American Venture Magazine appointed Huuhtanen to their list of the “Top 40 Under 40” executives to watch in the technology industry for 2007. Huuhtanen served as a member of the 2008 Engage! Expo Advisory Board. Also, he was a panel judge at the Hollywood Netawards and Hollywood Mobile Awards during the 2008 Hollywood Film Festival. He currently serves as a member of the Digital Media Wire Advisory Board. Since Habbo’s launch in 2000, Huuhtanen has helped grow the teen virtual community to 16.5 million unique monthly users worldwide, in 31 countries on six continents. (Quantcast). Prior to joining Sulake, Huuhtanen held several senior consumer and B2B sales and business development posts for numerous digital start-up companies worldwide. Huuhtanen is based and oversees Sulake’s North American headquarters in Southern California.

Chris Davis, Senior Vice President, Gaia Interactive: Chris Davis has vast experience
incorporating traditional brands into nontraditional spaces. Davis specializes in custom integrated advertising campaigns, case studies, best practices, positioning virtual goods as a marketing tool, and strategies for online virtual worlds and social games that are employed by leading brands. Davis has over 20 years of sales management experience, working with many of the world's most successful brands, including those in entertainment, gaming, retail, and consumer packaged goods. Prior to joining Gaia Interactive, Davis managed global sales for Neopets, a virtual world targeting youth, which was acquired by Viacom/MTV Networks Digital in June 2005. During his tenure at Neopets, Davis partnered with McDonalds, Disney, Hasbro, Target, and General Mills to create customized in-world advertising campaigns designed to engage the Neopets' user base. Having spent 12 years at Pfizer, Inc. in various sales and management positions, Davis was elected to multiple Vice President Management Cabinets, was named District Manager of the Year, and received the Spartan Award-named after him to recognize excellence in salesmanship, teamwork and communication.





David Fleck, Vice President of Marketing, IMVU: David joined IMVU in April 2010 as VP
Marketing. Recently, he worked with startups in the social networking and social gaming areas, including SuperSecret.com (children's online social entertainment) and Wild Pockets (3D in a web browser). Previously, David was vice president of marketing and business development at Linden Lab's Second Life, where he led it to become the most recognized brand in Virtual Worlds and 3D online spaces. Before that, David held senior positions at Openwave, Macromedia and Novell. A graduate of British Columbia Institute of Technology, David also serves as an advisor to startups in the social media space.







Jeff Ulin, Executive Vice President, Autumn Games: Jeff Ulin’s background includes being a
media executive, attorney, lecturer, entrepreneur and author. Half of his 20+ years in the business were spent at Lucasfilm, where he headed worldwide distribution for all markets (theatrical, video, TV, online), managed franchise sales for Star Wars and Indiana Jones, and oversaw the release of the last Star Wars film Episode III.  He has also served as a senior studio executive, helping manage Paramount and Universal’s overseas video distribution venture; co-founded and ran as CEO animation studio Wild Brain, where he created Disney’s pre-school hit Higglytown Heroes; and navigated the convergence of digital media at Silicon Valley’s most renowned law firm (Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati), where he served as Of Counsel.  Based in the San Francisco Bay area, Jeff currently works as EVP of Autumn Games, sits on advisory boards of media start-ups, and teaches the class Media & Entertainment: Economics, Policy, and Strategy at Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.  He is the author of the Variety-endorsed book The Business of Media Distribution- Monetizing Film, TV and Video Content in an Online World (Elsevier/Focal Press, 2009). Jeff is a graduate of Harvard University and The University of Chicago Law School, and a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Charles Harper is the VP Business Development, DoubleDown Interactive, developers of the DoubleDown Casino, one of the most popular social game apps that utilizes virtual currencies found on Facebook. Previously, he was General Manager of Business Development for GameHouse, the Casual Games Division of RealNetworks, Inc. Before Real, Charles was Vice President of Business Development and Screenlife, LLC, the makers of Scene It?, where he managed the acquisition of the content for the Scene It? games as well as launching Scene It? on the Mobile, Xbox, IPTV and online platforms and assisted with the successful sale of the company to Paramount. Prior to that, Harper worked at WildTangent where he managed the custom games business group working with partners such as Nike, McDonalds, General Mills, Microsoft, Intel and Anheuser- Busch. He started his career in gaming nearly 14 years ago at Real as the head of Business Development for the then new RealArcade group, launching both the web site and the RealArcade client. He is credited with selling the first, online in-game advertisement. Prior to moving to games, Harper managed sales teams in the professional services, media and technology sectors.





Hill Ferguson, Vice President, Product Management & Marketing, Zong: Hill leads the product strategy and marketing efforts for Zong, the leading mobile payment service used by online gaming and social networking websites. He brings over 10 years experience creating and launching new consumer Internet products for both large and small companies. While at Yodlee, Hill helped develop and market personal financial management (PFM) and consumer payments products used by top-tier Financial Institutions. At Yahoo!, Hill was a Senior Producer for Yahoo! Finance, the leading online destination for financial content. He also has an entrepreneurial bent, having founded LoanBack, a web service for setting up and managing “friends and family” loan agreements. Hill earned a BS and an MBA, both from Vanderbilt University.





David Traub, VP Business Development, DigitalSportsMedia: David earned a Masters in Education in 1990 from Harvard University, while conducting simultaneous class-work in interactive cinema and AI-based narrative at the MIT Media Lab. In 1984 he earned his undergraduate degrees in rhetoric and film with honors from the University of California at Berkeley, concluding with an honor thesis focusing on the use of film and television in education. His primary focus: the aggregation and delivery of "social and emotional" and other learning-centric applications/content via mobile phones, thin clients/PCs, TVs and videogames. He is currently writing the book: "17 Questions to Why You Are Here" as an introduction to his proprietary "mythological evaluation tool" that will be an example of such "augmentative" interfaces. In the real world, David has 20-years of experience as a digital media-oriented business development executive, investor, venture catalyst, and/or board member to over 35 startups/private equity companies. He has co-raised and deployed nearly $30 million dollars in support of these ventures. David has created digital media as an co-founder executive and/or executive producer of digital products across a wide variety of clients such as EMI North America, MCA Records, Philips/Polydor, Microsoft/ MSN, Apple Computer and many others. He is also an author of nearly 50 articles and reports on the evolution of the digital domain for trade publications, professional books and institutional clients; and a speaker who has given nearly 50 forward-looking keynote and other speeches throughout the world for clients such as the EU, the Swedish and Canadian Governments, TV Globo (Brazil), the National Institute of Film in Denmark, Viacom, US West, Mercedes/Siebold, The Broadband Content Development Forum and numerous other economic development agencies and universities.
