Sandy Jen, Co-Founder and Engineer Chief, Meebo: Sandy Jen is Co-Founder and Engineering Chief of Meebo, one of the Web's fastest growing consumer Internet companies that enables almost 170 million users to share and connect with their friends online. Jen leads Meebo's engineering team and is responsible for the company's backend technology and innovations. Jen, along with friends Seth Sternberg and Elaine Wherry, started Meebo in 2005 with one goal in mind: to connect people to their friends across the Web. Jen has ultimately been responsible for ensuring that Meebo's servers are well-equipped to handle all the people and the 8,000 websites who use Meebo today. Jen began her engineering career at San Jose-based Xilinx--the first semiconductor company--as an enterprise software developer. She spent more than two years there with a fabless manufacturing model. Originally an aspiring art student, Jen switched gears and decided to help start Meebo. Jen, a rock climber and Ultimate Frisbee player, mentors young entrepreneurs and students in her spare time, and is involved with organizations such as Women 2.0. She graduated Stanford University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, and is a recent recipient of the Founders Fund TechFellows Award in Engineering Leadership.


Catherine Zhou is a Principal at Ernst & Young and is the West Sub Area Customer Practice Lead. Catherine has over 15 years of experience in developing actionable segmentation concepts and implementation, digital media analytics, marketing and business intelligence, leveraging these capabilities to drive customer experience transformation, profitable customer acquisition and retention. Catherine has worked with various industries including communication and high tech, financial services, media and entertainment, utilities. Co-author “The Social Media Management Handbook” .

Gregg Spiridellis, Co-founder & CEO Guy, JibJab Media Inc.: Gregg Spiridellis co-founded Ji
bJab with his brother Evan in 1999, back in an era when it was cool to turn down lucrative job opportunities after getting your Wharton MBA to purse dot com glory. Five years later, Gregg and his brother achieved “overnight success” when their election parody of George Bush and John Kerry singing ‘This Land is Your Land’ became a global sensation, leading Peter Jennings to name the brothers ‘People of the Year’. Since then, Gregg and Evan have established JibJab as a leading innovator in online entertainment, not only for their viral satires, but also for their eCards and personalized entertainment product, Starring You!®. Today, JibJab is backed by Polaris Venture Partners, Overbrook Entertainment, Sony Pictures, and 37 artists, technologists and business people working hard to reinvent the way entertainment is created, produced, and distributed in a digital world. Prior to JibJab, Gregg worked for investment banks Goldman Sachs and Bear Stearns.

Michael Lazerow, CEO, Buddy Media: Michael is a serial entrepreneur who has co-founded four successful internet-based media companies. He has a passion for creating, managing and growing companies from the ground up. Michael’s first foray into entrepreneurship came with the founding of University Wire, an Associated Press-like network of more than 700 student-run newspapers that is now owned by CBS Corp. In 1997, Michael sold U-Wire to Student Advantage, the nation’s leading student membership organization linking 1.5 million students through one affinity card program. As a member of the Student Advantage management team, Michael helped grow Student Advantage from a handful of employees into the premier media and marketing company in the college market with more than 300 employees and $80 million in annual revenue. Building on his growing experience in the online space, Michael next founded GOLF.com, which was purchased by Time Warner’s Time Inc. division in January 2006. Michael led GOLF.com from a start-up to a multi-million dollar profitable golf media company and successfully funded GOLF.com by raising equity financing from private investors, leading venture capital firms and media companies, including NBC Sports and the New York Times Co. Michael left GOLF.com in February 2007 to start Lazerow Consulting, which helps finance, launch, manage and grow internet-based media businesses. His client list included CSTV, a CBS Corporation company. At CBS, Michael helped launch two new businesses in the sports community and student media spaces. Michael is currently the chairman and CEO of Buddy Media, Inc., a New York-based company whose Facebook management system is used by global brands and agencies. He lives in New York City with his wife, Kass, two sons, Myles and Cole, and daughter Vivian. In addition to investing in private companies and real estate, he enjoys live music, golf, tennis, poker, fly-fishing, reading, writing and video editing. Michael graduated from Northwestern University with a B.S. and M.S. in Journalism in 1996. His byline has appeared in more than a dozen newspapers, including Roll Call, the newspaper of Capitol Hill, the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel, the Miami Herald, the Delaware State-News, The Capital Times in Madison, Wis., and the Montgomery Journal.

Harry Kargman is the founder and CEO of Kargo. Kargo is a leading mobile technology and content publisher. KARGO helps media brands mobilize, distribute, and monetize their content. Harry is responsible for future product planning and the day to day strategic vision. Harry has been featured on 20/20, The Today Show, the New York Times, NPR and in major business publications around the world. Harry has spoken at CTIA, GSM, the CDMA World Congress, COMDEX and other events. Harry holds five patents on wireless technology and graduated with honors from Harvard College.














Marc Ruxin, EVP, Chief Innovation Officer, Universal McCann: Marc joined UM in 2009, an
d leads UM’s global innovation practice across a number of disciplines. In this capacity he works with traditional media companies on cutting edge brand integrations, develops groundbreaking social media ideas, and collaborates with VC’s and emerging media start-ups to create digital opportunities for UM clients. He also leads media innovation across Microsoft products and services and uses his digital-media background to help enhance their brand strategies. Marc spent three years prior to UM in a similar role at sister company McCann WorldGroup. Before joining UM/McCann, Marc was Chief Operating Officer of The Mill Group, an innovator in commercial visual effects, and Beam.tv, the foremost digital asset management system. Marc was Executive Vice President of Strategy at Gyro International, a global leader in technology advertising and marketing. He also assumed the role of VP of Business Development at iVast, the originator of MPEG4 technology, and held a similar position at Eveo, Inc., one of the primary user- generated content portals. Marc also worked for WPP Group, where he was an MBA Marketing Fellow and ultimately led West Coast New Media Strategy for the company.



Marcelino Ford-Livene, General Manager, Interactive Content and Advanced Advertising Development, Digital Home Group, Intel Corporation: Marcelino Ford-Livene has over fifteen years of business, legal and programming experience in the interactive media industry. Currently, he is the General Manager of Interactive Content and Advanced Advertising Development for Intel's Digital Home Group. In this capacity, he leads and manages a team charged with developing content and advertising-related platform solutions and opportunities as part of Intel's global digital home initiative. Before Intel, Ford-Livene was a senior executive in the corporate development and planning department at Gemstar - TV Guide. He also served as a senior official at the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in Washington, D.C. He served as Special Counsel for New Media Policy for former FCC Chairman William E. Kennard, and most recently as Senior Counsel and Director of Media Strategic Analysis for the FCC's Office of Strategic Planning and Policy Analysis during Michael Powell's tenure as FCC Chairman. During his time at the FCC, he worked on various domestic and international matters pertaining to media and information technology policy. He was also a founding member of the FCC's DTV task force and media ownership working group. He has also held other positions such as Co-Founder of NetNoir Online, Director of Business Development for iBlast, and as an Associate at the law firm of Hill, Farrer & Burrill. In 2005, Ford-Livene was elected to the Board of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the organization which awards the prestigious Primetime Emmy for outstanding achievement in primetime television production. He also sits on the Executive Committee of the Television Academy and is a co-Governor of its Interactive Media Peer Group and a co-chair of its Diversity Committee. He is also the Division Chairman of the Interactive Media and New Technologies Division for the American Bar Association's Forum on the Entertainment and Sports Industries. He holds J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Illinois and a B.A. in Economics from UC San Diego.

Lizzie Widhelm, Regional VP, National Advertising Sales, Pandora: As Vice President of National Advertising Sales, Lizzie Widhelm is instrumental in driving Pandora's success with entertainment, film and TV advertisers. Thanks to her deep understanding of Pandora listeners and what engages them, she specializes in translating listener insights into engaging campaigns for advertisers. At Pandora, she works with top-name entertainment clients, ranging from ABC to Universal Pictures, as well as other business categories, including Visa, Nike, Honda, H-P and Google. She spearheaded Pandora's first ever Artist Exclusive with Dave Matthews in June 2009. Previously, she worked with startups such as Broadband Enterprises, a video network, and game companies iWin, Uproar and Flipside before and subsequent to their sale to Vivendi Universal.

Patrick Kennedy, President and CEO, Sidebar: Patrick Kennedy is a leader in digital media with extensive experience in technical product development and digital distribution, strategic planning and corporate development. Prior to Sidebar, Patrick spent two years as a strategic advisor to the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) where he helped position Singapore as a hub for digital content distribution across internet, mobile, and emerging distribution platforms. He was a founding member of the Singapore Digital Marketplace industry roundtable which helped to introduce new revenue models for broadband video in the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to this, Patrick was executive vice president at Sony Pictures Digital. Patrick has keynoted at such events as CTIA Wireless and Milia and he is a founding member of Enterprise Ireland’s TIME advisory council. He is an active member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ Interactive Media Peer Group and is also a member of the Irish Technology Leadership Group. He graduated summa cum laude from Milwaukee School of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering and received a National Science Foundation Fellowship for graduate work at Stanford University where he received a Master of Science and Ph.D. A.B.D. in electrical engineering.

Kerry Trainor, Senior Vice President/General Manager, AOL Entertainment: Kerry Trainor is Senior Vice President, Entertainment for AOL, where he is General Manager of AOL's entertainment properties including AOL Music, Popeater.com, AOL TV, and Moviefone. In this role, Trainor focuses on overall product strategy and direction for AOL's entertainment portfolio, including user experience, content programming, technology development and advertising and sponsorship opportunities. Prior to AOL, Trainor was the co-founder and CEO of FlipGloss Media Inc, an online distribution platform for premium photo content. FlipGloss was designed to syndicate professional, magazine-style photo content and ad packages across the web in a scalable, creatively consistent format. The company was acquired by Forbes Media in November 2009. Trainor began his digital media career at online music startup LAUNCH Media, which was acquired by Yahoo! in 2001 to become Yahoo! Music. Trainor served as Head of Global Media Products, overseeing all ad-supported content products and platforms for Yahoo! Music's 20+ MM monthly users. In this role, Trainor directed Yahoo!'s leading global music video service, global radio service, original content production, and product development for its international music properties. Trainor also led the development of a number of market-leading consumer experiences and businesses, including Yahoo! Music's marquee original content programs such as 'Pepsi Smash' and 'Nissan Live Sets'. Prior to joining the business world, Trainor was a guitarist in the band Etro Anime, a New York based trip-hop/breakbeat band. Trainor has an MBA from Harvard Business School and graduated from Duke University.
