Indie Developers taking the Game Industry by Storm
Sponsored by:
Women in Games International (WIGI) and Kissappgames

This event will have 6-10 indie developers showcasing their apps. We invite attendees to mingle in this informal environment and learn firsthand what it takes to develop and bring to market a game app.
The focus is on how small companies with little resources are now developing game apps that rival the big game companies. The cost of entry has made it affordable for developers to compete in the mobile space. The distribution channels have also changed the climate making it easier for developers without huge marketing budgets to compete. Also much of the marketing is now viral marketing with the advent of social media. All these components create a market ideal for Indie Developers to create a game app that can become a huge success and rival studios much larger in size. Not only are developers reaping the rewards, but Hollywood is taking notice and viewing this IP as a brand that goes beyond games.
This informal gather will allow attendees to check out the game apps of indie developers and ask them questions, such as:
1. How much does it cost to make an app?
2. How long was this game in development?
3. How do you market your app so it gets noticed?
4. How is this app monetized?
