Moira Curran, VP, Entertainment, New Media Strategies: Moira oversees New Media Strategies' Entertainment Practice, which designs and executes strategic, results-driven social media campaigns for leading Film, Television, Gaming and Sports clients. In 2009, NMS' film clients garnered 36 Oscar nominations and 10 Oscar wins (including Best Picture The Hurt Locker), 16 #1 box office openings and over $1 billion in opening weekend box office receipts. NMS also supports USA Network, which topped all cable competitors in both the 2009 and 2008 ratings race, and NBC, the #1 network online in traffic, visits per month, total time spent and time spent per visit. During her five-year tenure at NMS, Moira has personally managed NMS' relationship with top television networks, including NBC, USA and ABC Family. She is a keen strategist and enthusiastic social media consumer, eagerly following industry developments and integrating these trends into each project she oversees. Prior to joining NMS, Moira was a Senior Account Executive at LaForce + Stevens in New York. She holds a B.A. in Communications from Loyola University in Maryland and an M.A. in Music Business from New York University.
Shawn Amos, Founder, Amos Content Group: Shawn Amos has been a trusted tastemaker , content creator, and custodian of pop culture for the past decade. Prior to founding Amos Content Group, Shawn was Senior Vice President of Content at GetBack Media and was Vice President of A&R at Shout! Factory, where he developed and oversaw the labels entire audio, live concert DVD, and comedy DVD release schedule, working with dozens of heritage artists ranging from pop icons William Shatner and the Bangles to Grammy legends Herb Alpert and Solomon Burke. Shawn also released his own album Thank You Shirl-ee May on the Shout! Factory label. During this time, Amos worked with Shouts ownership to create a digital strategy that led to the formation of the standalone digital media company, GetBack. Aside from steering GetBacks popular content, Amos served as the face of the company, hosting its flagship video program Retro Minute which received 230 million impressions monthly via out-of- home screens at Wal-Mart check out, supermarket check out, gas stations, coffee houses, and bookstores. Previously, as an A&R executive at Rhino Entertainment, Shawn steered editorial content for the reissue labels deluxe anthologies and box sets, hiring award-winning entertainment critics, essayists and authors. He then went on to produce single and various artists collections from such heritage musical acts as INXS, The Sugarhill Gang and Quincy Jones (for whom Amos later ran the Quincy Jones Listen Up Foundation). Shawn is the son of Wally Amos, founder of the Famous Amos brand, and the first African-American talent agent for the William Morris Agency. Growing up in the colorful Hollywood landscape inspired Shawn to pursue a career in film (he attended NYUs Tisch School of the Arts) then music and digital media. He is currently writing his first book, a memoir titled Cookies & Milk: Scenes From a 70s Hollywood Childhood. Shawn sits on the Board of Trustees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum and serves as secretary on the Los Angeles Board of Governors of the Recording Academy.
Evan Bailyn, President, First Page Sage: Evan Bailyn is a serial entrepreneur who became a millionaire by the age of 25. He started eight companies, selling five of them by the age of 29. He is also the author of two books published by Pearson, entitled Outsmarting Google and Social Search: Profiting in the Age of Friendship Marketing. After graduating from Columbia University, Mr. Bailyn taught himself about search engines, quickly discovering how to rank at the top of Google for any search term. With this knowledge, he established a network of education-related businesses which he later sold. In 2006, he founded Cartoon Doll Emporium, which was backed by Allen & Co. and became one of the largest children's websites in the world, reaching 70 million unique visitors in 2009. In March of 2009, he launched First Page Sage, an SEO and social media company serving Fortune 500, celebrity, and political clients. Mr. Bailyn created the Evan Bailyn Foundation in early 2010, offering grants to causes that prevent child abuse. His Facebook page, which promotes emotional awareness, is one of the most popular non-celebrity pages on Facebook, with over 100,000 fans. Mr. Bailyn has been interviewed on ABC and Fox News and featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Post, Advertising Age, and Money Magazine.
Clay McDaniel, Manging Director and Founder, Spring Creek Group: Clay brings more than 10 years experience in consumer product and services management, new product development, and technology marketing to the Spring Creek Group team. Prior to co-founding Spring Creek Group, Clay was the Senior Director of Product Management for RealArcade, the rapidly-growing casual games consumer digital media business at RealNetworks, Inc. Clay joined RealNetworks after 2 years at Microsoft, where he helped launch Windows XP in 2001 and drove national retail and online marketing plans for the companys flagship operating system software product. Before moving to Seattle in 2001, Clay worked as a Product Manager for enterprise middleware software pioneer Vitria Technology; as a Corporate Business Development lead at the Whitney Museum of American Art; and as a technology project Consultant for the retail and telecommunications sectors at Deloitte Consulting. Clay holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and an AB in Economics from Princeton University.
Gadi BenMark, Senior Vice President, Client Development, NM Incite: Pri or to NM Incite, Mr. BenMark was Chief Revenue Officer at TurnTo Networks, where he led TurnTo's sales, marketing, and business development activities. Gadi was a VP/CBE (client business executive) at Amdocs (NYSE:DOX) in charge of digital advertising and commerce, and a VP/General Manager at Intergraph where he managed Intergraph's transportation and photogrammetry global business unit. Prior to Intergraph Mr. BenMark led LocatioNet Inc's operations in the Americas. LocatioNet is an Israel based technology provider of mobile location-based service solutions. He joined LocatioNet after a number of years with McKinsey & Co. Mr. BenMark, a Canadian Israeli worked with the McKinsey telecom practice both in North and South America and in Europe. He was responsible for developing global mobile strategies for clients. Mr. BenMark holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School (Baker scholar), a law degree (University of Tel-Aviv), and a BA in economics and Business (Hebrew University of Jerusalem). He was a captain in the Israeli Air-Force and is a member of the New-York legal bar.
Bob Gold, President, Bob Gold & Associates: During his more than 25 years in pub lic relations and marketing, Bob Gold has helped launch a dozen companies, re-branded many others, and created successful campaigns for numerous online start-ups. He has also helped raise millions of dollars for charities, taught hundreds of students and helped further strategic business plans for numerous businesses and associations. Gold founded and manages Bob Gold & Associates, one of the country's premiere independent integrated communications PR agencies. The agency earned widespread recognition for its successes in the cable industry representing such diverse clients as ESPN, Comcast, Charter (where among other achievements, Gold produced a one-hour music special starring Dan Aykroyd and Jim Belushi, Have Love Will Travel) and Bloomberg Television, among others. He has produced numerous television campaigns for Adelphia, Charter and others. Gold is a sought-after moderator at key cable and digital content events, interviewing industry luminaries at Digital Hollywood, Media Innovations Summit, Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) and more. His agency is the sole North American affiliate in the Whiteoaks International Network, an international public relations agency organization that includes 17 tech-focused PR companies across four continents, in 25 countries, thereby increasing client visibility in the global marketplace. He serves on the Board of Directors for the (SCTE) Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers Foundation. He is the only non-engineer to serve on the board of directors for the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers Foundation where he chairs both the policy and the marketing committees. In 2007 Gold was inducted into the Cable TV Pioneers Hall of Fame and has served on numerous committees and boards that range from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences to the Alzheimer's Association. Gold holds a master's degree in communications management from the Annenberg School of Communications at the University of Southern California.
