Chris Carvalho, Chief Operating Officer, Kabam: Chris Carvalho has twenty years of profession
al and ten plus years of digital media experience with a proven track record creating new business opportunities, running business operations, and leading cross-functional teams. He currently is the COO of Kabam, the leading social gaming publisher delivering hard core games on Facebook and other social networks. The bulk of Chris' digital media career was spent at Lucasfilm where he headed up Business Development for nine plus years and the company's internet division. In his business development role he spearheaded the growth of StarWars.com from a purely marketing site, with no revenue, into a profitable business with multi-million dollar annual revenues. He also completed wide ranging deals from Star Wars’ TV appearance on the Apprentice to M&A to major technology deals while working closely with senior management of all divisions. For the Lucasfilm internet division, Chris had operational and P&L responsibility for Lucas Online, and crafted all of the major business deals, including ones with established companies like Yahoo, Apple, and AOL and startups like Eyespot, Zazzle, and TalkCity. Chris was the driving force behind Lucas’ Digital Media initiatives – identifying opportunities and crafting partnerships that generated significant new revenue streams.

Mike Vorhaus, President, Magid Advisors: Founded the Magid Internet and New Media research
and consultation practice in 1995, with AOL and Excite as his first two clients. Mike’s team has completed over 2,500 engagements with over 100 Internet clients. Mike began the Magid Gaming Practice in 2001 with EA and Sony Online as his first two clients. The Magid Game Practice now works with most of the major game publishers. Mike provides research and consulting services to a number of major traditional media companies in regard to their new media initiatives, as well as consulting a number of leading Internet and gaming companies. He has also provided advice to venture capital and private equity firms in regard to investments in the media space. Mike has been involved in strategic and tactical consulting, including the launch of new services and programming, as well as development and implementation of online and offline marketing programs. Mike has also been extensively involved in video and PC gaming strategies for a number of our companies, as well as the development of game concepts. Mike has consulted on a number of film projects such as You’ve Got Mail and The Matrix. He holds a B.S. in psychology and sociology from Wesleyan University and has worked as a fundraiser and transfer of technology officer at the California Institute of Technology and the University of California. Mike also worked for the U.S. House of Representatives, The U.S. Senate, and for two Administrations in the White House.

Lisa Marino,
Chief Executive Officer, RockYou: Lisa Marino is RockYou's Chief Executive Officer and is a key driver of RockYou's growth and success, having taken on a variety of responsibilities across the company over the past several years. She served as RockYou's Chief Operating Officer, overseeing all business functions and leading all brand and ad sales initiatives for the company. As COO, Lisa was instrumental in hiring executive talent and acquiring new gaming studios to solidify RockYou's position as a leader in the rapidly evolving social entertainment space. Lisa held the position of Vice President of sales at RockYou, where she created and led a team that generated more than $6 million during its first year. Before that she served as Chief Revenue Officer and expanded the company's media business, making RockYou one of the largest social media advertising networks where brands can meaningfully engage users in-game. Lisa has been recognized as one of the most influential women of the Bay Area by the San Francisco Business Times and has spoken at leading conferences and events, including OMMA, iMedia Summits, CES and Digital Hollywood. Lisa received her Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and holds an MA in Latin American Studies from Stanford University, along with an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

Mike Doernberg, Chief Executive Officer, ReverbNation: Michael Doernberg is the Chief Executive Officer for this music marketing platform serving more than one million artists, managers, record labels and venues. Every day, musicians turn to ReverbNation as a source for the powerful business tools needed to compete in the social media age, across the Internet as a whole, while other music industry participants work with ReverbNation to align themselves with the largest aggregation of independent artists. As CEO, Doernberg's strategic thinking and exceptional business acumen has contributed to ReverbNation's success and helped drive the development of their valuable social tools for the industry. Doernberg is a serial entrepreneur from the Triangle area of North Carolina with a tremendous amount of experience in marketing and management of technology and Internet business. His past ventures include SmartPath, a marketing software company, and Marathon Partners, an Internet services organization. At Marathon he transitioned the organization from a marketing and communication services firm to an Internet professional services company. Doernberg also worked as Vice President and General Manager of MERANT's Interactive Division, where his team extended the business into international markets.

Nadim Hossain, Vice President of Marketing, PowerReviews: Nadim joins Powe
rReviews with over a decade of experience in software-as-a-service. Most recently, Nadim was Director of Product Marketing and Management at Salesforce.com, where he led key launches during a period of hyper-growth. Prior to that, Nadim was product line manager for McAfee's SaaS business, which he grew from startup to 3 million subscribers. Nadim was formerly with Amazon.com and has held sales and business development roles at early-stage startups. He began his career as a strategy consultant at Bain & Company. Nadim holds an AB from Cornell University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is an avid traveler, and speaks French, Japanese and Bengali.




Josh Brooks, CEO and Founder, Postcard on the Run: As CEO and founder of Postcard on the Run, Josh Brooks is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the company as well as managing product development and marketing initiatives. A digital media visionary, Josh has a proven track record of creating and building successful ventures in the digital entertainment realm. Prior to POTR, Josh was vice president of marketing and content at MySpace, where he oversaw the creation of the social network's entertainment platforms including MySpace Music, which became the top online music destination for musicians and their fans during his tenure. Josh also served as vice president of content and programming for Playlist.com and co-founded Fanscape, a pioneer in grassroots online marketing. A former talent manager turned digital executive, Josh has worked with platinum music artists such as Queens of the Stone Age, Tori Amos, and A Perfect Circle. He holds a degree from the University of Arizona and serves as an advisor to Music Relief, an LA based nonprofit.
