Gregg Spiridellis, Co-founder & CEO Guy, JibJab Media Inc.: Gregg Spiridellis co-founded JibJa b with his brother Evan in 1999, back in an era when it was cool to turn down lucrative job opportunities after getting your Wharton MBA to purse dot com glory. Five years later, Gregg and his brother achieved overnight success when their election parody of George Bush and John Kerry singing This Land is Your Land became a global sensation, leading Peter Jennings to name the brothers People of the Year. Since then, Gregg and Evan have established JibJab as a leading innovator in online entertainment, not only for their viral satires, but also for their eCards and personalized entertainment product, Starring You!®. Today, JibJab is backed by Polaris Venture Partners, Overbrook Entertainment, Sony Pictures, and 37 artists, technologists and business people working hard to reinvent the way entertainment is created, produced, and distributed in a digital world. Prior to JibJab, Gregg worked for investment banks Goldman Sachs and Bear Stearns.
Matt Goddard, CEO, R2integrated: Matt Goddard leads R2i's strategic direction while providing valuable support to client digital marketing projects. Matt's understanding of social network theory is frequently called upon by R2i clients and partners as they develop their short and long term strategic plans. Prior to his work with R2i, Matt was co-founder of Impreza, a leading digital marketing and technology firm. After the acquisition of Impreza by Sinclair Broadcast Group (SBGI), Matt began Round 2 Communications (R2). Building on his expertise with traditional creative services, brand strategy, and online communications, R2i would also incorporate next-generation Web 2.0 methods and technologies to engage an increasingly media-dispersed population. Matt is also responsible for R2i ventures, a division of R2i that makes equity investments in start-up companies launching unique and innovative technologies.
Lori H. Schwartz, Chief Technology Catalyst, North America, McCann Erickson: As directo r of the Interpublic Emerging Media Lab, Lori provides consultation and solution recommendations for the latest in broadband, wireless and emerging media solutions. She has produced a number of broadband solutions for General Motors, Reebok, Nautica, Park Place Entertainment and Sony Pictures, among others. An active member of the new media industry, Lori has led a project for the American Film Institute's Enhanced Television Workshop, and also serves as Vice-Chair of the Board of Governors for the Producer's Guild of America's New Media Council. She is a member of the Interactive Peer Group for the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and participates in a number of advanced advertising standardizations groups. When shes not working with clients, Lori can be found on stage in Hollywood performing with a number of improvisational comedy theaters.
Harry Kargman, founder and CEO, Kargo: Kargo is a mobile technology leader. Kargo helps publishers mobilize, distribute, and monetize their content. Harry is responsible for future product planning and the day to day strategic vision. Harry has been featured on 20/20, The Today Show, the New York Times, NPR and in major business publications around the world. Harry has spoken at CTIA, GSM, the CDMA World Congress, COMDEX and other events. Harry holds six patents on wireless technology and graduated with honors from Harvard College. Kargo was founded in 2003 and partners with major media companies to create the best in branded mobile sites, widgets and applications. Kargo leverages its global distribution relationships to build audience as well as its carrier billing capabilities and advertising management solutions. In addition, Kargo integrate community features and social media into its products to deliver engaged fans. Kargo works with major media companies including Rolling Stone, Us Weekly, Shape, Motor Trend, Blackbook, Star Magazine, Tiger Beat, Spin Magazine, Consumer Reports and many others.
Prakash Kondepudi is the Senior Vice President of Sales & Business Strategy at Intelius. He oversees Intelius' reoccurring business product lines and business strategy. Prior to joining Intelius, Mr. Kondepudi was the founder and CEO of Bellevue based DepotPoint Inc., a company that built a SAAS (software as a service) based technology to streamline mortgage default servicing since 2005. Mr. Kondepudi raised $12M in venture money, built a strong team with industry experience and deployed DepotPoint technology to some of the marquee players in the industry. He stepped down from DepotPoint in late 2009 to spend time with his family. From 2000-2004, Mr. Kondepudi was Executive Vice President at InfoSpace Inc., and President of the payment business unit known as Authorize.Net. In addition to payment business, he led the merchant business division overseeing online Yellow Pages, Integrated Store Front, Stored Value and Shopping technology businesses. In 2004, Mr. Kondepudi led the sale of the Authorize.Net business to LightBridge Inc., for an all-cash deal valued at $82 million. Prior to Infospace, he served as Vice President at Saraide Inc., a wireless data company. Between 1990 -1998, Mr. Kondepudi led business development, product management and engineering management positions at Verifone Inc., Mr. Kondepudi holds a Master's in Technology from IIT, Chennai and a Bachelors in technology from JNTU, Hyderabad in India.
Joe Hyrkin, CEO, Wordnik: Joe currently serves as the President and CEO of Wordnik. He has more than 18 years of experience in general management, and in senior sales and business development management both domestically and internationally. He has focused his career on creating and launching new businesses in the US and Asia, and has been instrumental in pioneering creative revenue opportunities in the community and social web space. In 2010, Joe completed a role as an Entrepreneur in Residence with Trinity Ventures. While at Trinity, Joe spent six months focused on opportunities in next-generation social commerce, community, crowdsourcing, and social media and evaluated more than 150 companies. Prior to joining Trinity as an EIR, Joe was the Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Gaia Interactive. While there, Joe oversaw all revenue including virtual goods, advertising/sponsorship and merchandise as well as all Business Development efforts including fundraising, strategic partnerships, and content acquisition and distribution. Prior to Gaia Online, Joe headed up the business side of Multimedia Search at Yahoo!, where he also served as head of Business Development and Sales for Flickr. Before his time at Yahoo, Joe served as Vice President of Strategic Accounts and Asia Pacific Operations at Virage Inc., a provider of video search and publishing services and software. While at Virage, Joe and his team established some of the first business relationships in the broadband entertainment space, working with many of the world's leading media companies. Prior to Virage, he headed sales for Sina.com, the top Chinese language portal, and before that Joe ran The Economist Group's business in China for four and a half years, establishing the company's presence in the country and overseeing offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong. Joe serves on the Board Of Directors of Viximo, Inc., and on the advisory boards of Bunndle, Inc., RadiumOne, Inc., TaskRabbit, and Zoodles Inc.
Patrick Kennedy, President and CEO, Sidebar: Patrick Kennedy is a leader in digital medi a with extensive experience in technical product development and digital distribution, strategic planning and corporate development. Prior to Sidebar, Patrick spent two years as a strategic advisor to the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) where he helped position Singapore as a hub for digital content distribution across internet, mobile, and emerging distribution platforms. He was a founding member of the Singapore Digital Marketplace industry roundtable which helped to introduce new revenue models for broadband video in the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to this, Patrick was executive vice president at Sony Pictures Digital. Patrick has keynoted at such events as CTIA Wireless and Milia and he is a founding member of Enterprise Irelands TIME advisory council. He is an active member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Interactive Media Peer Group and is also a member of the Irish Technology Leadership Group. He graduated summa cum laude from Milwaukee School of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering and received a National Science Foundation Fellowship for graduate work at Stanford University where he received a Master of Science and Ph.D. A.B.D. in electrical engineering.
