Zack Zalon is co-founder and managing partner of Wilshire Media Group, a digital entertainment product design and development firm. He is also a founder and managing partner of Hello Music, a new company that combines technology resources with the art of A&R to identify talented musicians and connect them with career opportunities. Prior to Wilshire Media, Zack was president of Virgin Digital, Richard Bransons digital entertainment platform group. Directly before Virgin Digital, he served as executive producer and vice president online for Farmclub.com, a $50 million Internet music venture launched by Seagrams/Universal. Zack first earned a reputation for breaking new talent as the manager of the legendary Troubadour club from 1992-1995. During his tenure there he brought more than 1,000 new and established acts to the stage, including music legends Pearl Jam, The Black Crowes, Incubus, KISS, No Doubt, Social Distortion, Tonic and Blind Melon.
Bart Decrem, CEO, Tapulous: a Palo Alto-based startup building fun and social apps for the iPhone, including the wildly successful rhythm game Tap Tap Revenge. Previously, Bart was the founding CEO of Flock, the social web browser company, and a co-founder of Eazel, a company working to make Linux easier to use. Bart also headed marketing and business affairs for the Firefox 1.0 launch. In between, Bart has been an Entrepreneur In Residence at Doll Capital Management and worked on a number of community projects. Bart was born and raised in Belgium, holds a JD from Stanford Law School and was featured as one of Fast Companys 100 Most Creative People in Business in May of 2009.
Jim Hollingsworth, Senior VP of Sales & Marketing, Gracenote: Bringing over 25 years of experience in the consumer electronics industry, Hollingsworth leads Gracenote's global marketing throughout the Americas, Asia and Europe. Joining Gracenote in 2004, Hollingsworth was previously President of ReplayTV a subsidiary of Denon and Marantz Holdings. Prior to D&M's acquisition of ReplayTV, Hollingsworth was Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing, where he oversaw four major product lines (RIO Digital Audio, GoVideo, ReplayTV and Diamond Multimedia). Previously, Hollingsworth was Vice President of Marketing, Computer Products at Sony Corp., and was integral in the launch of the VAIO line of PCs and Peripherals. Prior to that, he spent two years at StarSight Telecast (now Gemstar, Inc.), where he was responsible for licensing StarSight's technologies to the consumer electronics industry. He began his career with nine years at Sony Consumer Electronics and an additional three years at Panasonic, where he held roles in sales and marketing.
Frank Hajdu is the Vice President of Strategy & Operations for MySpace Music. He and his team are responsible for the formulation of MySpace Music's core strategy, assessment of new business opportunities, and improvement of existing operations and performance. As a founding member of MySpace Music, Frank played an integral role in the creation of the business and product architecture of the new venture. In addition to assisting with the formation of the joint venture itself, he helped drive the execution of content partnerships with the four major labels, leading indie labels, and prominent indie aggregators. In his current role, Frank works in concert with a broad range of MySpace Music departments including Product, Marketing, Technology, and Finance to create progressive music business models and user experiences which align the interests of labels, artists, and music fans. His team's mission is consistent with MySpace's historically artist-forward approach: help hard-working musicians grow their fanbases, market their content effectively, and properly monetize their digital content and physical goods. Prior to joining MySpace in 2006, Frank held positions within Elektra Entertainment Group's Artists & Repertoire department as well as Credit Suisse's Private Equity division. Frank holds a B.A. in Business Economics from Brown University and an M.B.A. from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Michael Schneider is the CEO of Mobile Roadie (mobileroadie.com), the leading self service platform to create an iPhone or Android app in minutes. Using Mobile Roadie anyone can create an app that includes audio, video, news, Twitter, photos, events, and more all managed from a content management system to instantly make updates to the app. Leading clients include Ashton Kutcher, Madonna, Taylor Swift, Live Nation, Universal Music, Sony Music, and Random House.
Ted Mico serves as the Executive Vice President of Digital for the Interscope/Geffen/A&M label group, overseeing business development of the groups new ventures, digital strategy and operations of all IGA initiatives. Previously, Mico was Senior VP of Strategic Marketing at Capitol Records where he contributed in branding and positioning of all Capitol artists. Mico also served as Senior Vice President of Programming and Marketing for LAUNCH/Yahoo Music, overseeing all the marketing and content development for the brand. Mico founded and served as CEO of Mixed Media Works marketing company based in LA and NYC whose clients included Peter Gabriel, David Bowie, and The Rolling Stones. He has authored three books and was features editor for Melody Maker.
Kelli Richards, President, The All Access Group: A veteran in the digital music/media arena over the past two decades, Kelli Richards connects the dots between major content brands, established artists, dynamic technology companies, and consumer brands to create innovative and profitable alliances. She has rich experience as an executive and strategist with both mainstream entertainment (EMI, Sony) and technology (Apple Computer, Motorola, Philips, SGI) companies, where she focused on developing traditional and digital music and entertainment initiatives for each. Kelli also pioneered the first Internet-based artist subscription service, PatroNet, with rocker partner Todd Rundgren in the mid-90's. And she has been a producer of many awards shows, digital music/media conferences, and celebrity fundraiser events. As President & CEO of the All Access Group, a digital media and entertainment consultancy, Kelli provides her clients with an integrated approach to business development, strategic counsel, marketing/PR initiatives, event management, and introductions to key influencers and decisionmakers. She brings unparalleled creativity to the delivery of superior results that lead to long-lasting client relationships Kelli has recently co-authored two books -- a book/DVD entitled "The Art of Digital Music: 56 Artists, Visionaries and Insiders Reveal Their Creative Secrets", published in 2005 by Backbeat Books; the other one is "Creating Business Breakthroughs You Want: Secrets and Strategies of the World's Greatest Mentors" published in 2004 by Mission Publishing
