Joe Bilman is Executive Vice President, Global Products for Fox Mobile Group (FMG), the mobile industry’s largest vertically integrated mobile entertainment company, wholly-owned by News Corporation. He is chief architect behind Bitbop, the first wireless subscription service to deliver on-demand mobile TV and movies directly to U.S. consumers’ smartphones. In addition to this role, he is responsible for advancing FMG’s consumer services globally. Previously, he served as Chief Product Officer for Thumbplay, where he set the company’s consumer service strategy and directed the design and development of its web and mobile channels. During his tenure with Thumbplay, the company enjoyed meteoric growth in revenue, subscribers and market share and was widely recognized for delivering an innovative and engaging mobile entertainment experience to consumers. Before joining Thumbplay, he served as Vice President, Subscription Services at Rodale Inc., where he was responsible for Rodale’s online diet and fitness subscription business. Among his accomplishments in this position, he successfully partnered with NBC to create and manage The Biggest Loser Club, an online diet and fitness companion to the hit television show. Mr. Bilman has also held product development positions at Columbia House and CDNOW, and co-founded Squishy FX, a computer software company that developed graphics technology licensed by Microsoft. Prior to his career in web development, he worked in multimedia production at Black Hammer Productions, an interactive media company and at HT Medical where he created interfaces for real-time surgical simulation funded by the U.S. Department of Defense. He earned his Master’s of Fine Arts in computer art and a Bachelor’s degree in film and video from the School of Visual Arts in New York City.

Mark Marvel,
Sr. Director, msnbc.com: Mark Marvel has had a varied history in publishing and sales. After graduating from Columbia University he worked as an editor and writer for a number of publications including Esquire magazine, The New York Times, Elle, Interview and Details. His favorite article was called “Sexless in Seattle,” which he wrote for Elle magazine, and which explored the differences between being a single man in New York and Seattle at the time he moved from NY to Seattle to begin working for Microsoft twelve years ago. At Microsoft Mark was one of the original editors hired to produce Sidewalk. He helped launch MSN Shopping and ran the publishing team at MSN Entertainment, returning to New York three years ago to work with the sales team to develop packaging solutions for the MSN Entertainment site. In his current role as the Senior Director of Video Monetization at msnbc.com he oversees the video monetization strategy for the #1 news site on the web, working closely with the NBC News team to develop original programming concepts for the web and other cross-media strategies. Mark lives in an area of New York called DUMBO. If anyone asks you, it stands for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass.

Ross Hoffman
is a member of YouTube's Strategic Partner Development team where he oversees the team's live streaming strategy with a focus on sports and entertainment. Since joining YouTube in 2007, Ross has negotiated key partnerships with sports leagues, music labels, and movie studios, helping them monetize their content and increase viewership on the platform. Ross is responsible for executing and implementing YouTube's live streaming deals including U2: Live From the Rose Bowl, Alicia Keys' World AIDS Day Concert, and the recent Indian Premiere League tournament. Prior to joining YouTube, Ross worked in the William Morris Agency's corporate consulting group, advising brands on their entertainment strategy. A Philadelphia native, he received a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business, and currently resides in San Francisco.

Mr. Yun Chao Hu
has been Chair and then President of the Open IPTV Forum Chairman since April 2007. He was very actively involved in the initiation of this forum which targets the development of the next generation IPTV providing end-users a completely new experience for their entertainment and communication services. He guided the forum from the initial 9 Founders towards a forum of over 60 Members. Yun Chao Hu is currently employed within Ericsson Sweden responsible for IMS based IPTV standardization strategies and is closely involved with the business & product strategies of the Ericsson IMS based IPTV solutions. Yun Chao is also working within the Product Line IMS within the Business Unit Networks and drives IMS solutions over cable access networks. In this dual responsibility, he is very actively driving for synergies between Telco-based and Cable-based IPTV solutions over broadband access networks (i.e. xDSL and Docsis based). He is also actively involved in the IMS portfolio and business management activities within the Product Line IMS. In the past, Yun Chao Hu has worked within several Ericsson organizations within China, Sweden, Japan and the Netherlands. He was actively involved in a number of diversity of standardization areas, such as Intelligent Networks (IN), IMT-2000, UMTS, IMS and PacketCable. He participated in several standardization bodies such as ITU-T, 3GPP, TTC (Japan), CCSA (China), CableLabs (USA) and ETSI (Europe). He has been acted as ITU-T SG11 Q.24 Rapporteur, 3GPP TSG CN WG 4 Chairman and several editorships. Yun Chao Hu started his employment in Ericsson Netherlands as a member of the IN Application Laboratory member August 1993. Before joining Ericsson, he worked as System Analyst for Cross Connect switches and as research-assistant within the Technical University of Eindhoven in the Netherlands.

Edgar Villalpando,
Senior Vice President of Marketing, ActiveVideo: Edgar joined ActiveVideo in 2008 and is responsible for global market strategy and product marketing for ActiveVideo®. Edgar’s extensive media and consumer products experience includes executive positions with HBO and DIRECTV, and as Founder of THUMP, an agency that developed branded content through a combination of traditional and new media platforms. With HBO, Edgar served as vice president, new media and business development for the programmer’s international group, with specific responsibility for expanding linear and new media properties into new territories. Edgar previously had served as vice president, marketing for HBO, driving and managing international marketing and communications efforts for the HBO and Cinemax brands. With DIRECTV, Edgar first served as director of marketing and advertising with a focus on supporting the satellite provider’s new and international programming services within United States. Edgar began his career in advertising in the agency world, working on blue-chip brands such as Ford, Miller Brewing, Mobil Oil, Wesson Oil, and several other accounts. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from UCLA.

Wilfred Martis, General Manager, Retail CE Products, Digital Home Group, Intel Corporation: Wilfred is currently the General Manager of Retail Consumer Electronics Products in the Digital Home Group at Intel Corporation. In this role, he is responsible for the strategy, planning, marketing and overall P&L for Intel’s Digital TV, Blu-ray & Internet-connected CE solutions. Wilfred has been with Intel for 11 years. Prior to his current role, he was the Director of Platform Strategy & Planning in the Digital Home Group, where he drove the group’s market segment strategies, and the planning of platforms for the various consumer electronics segments. From 2004 to 2008, Wilfred was the Director of Marketing for Intel’s Consumer Electronics Group. Wilfred has also held engineering, business & management roles in the Video Products Division, the Home Products Group, the Embedded Microprocessor Division, and the Data Security Operation at Intel. From 1999 to 2001, Wilfred founded & ran Vistify, a startup focused on solutions for the digital home and incubated by Panasonic. Prior to rejoining Intel in 2004, Wilfred was a General Manager of Strategic Accounts at Satyam, a leading Indian Software Services firm. Wilfred holds a BSEE from Bangalore University, India, an MSEE from the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology, and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
