John Rubey, President, AEG Network LIVE: John Rubey, brings over 25 years of digital content and entertainment marketing experience to his position as President of AEG Network LIVE. Rubey is responsible for the overall vision, entertainment marketing, digital content development and execution of the company's strategic initiatives. Rubey also oversees the filming and distribution of all AEG Network LIVE's music festivals to leading content distributers such as: HULU, AOL BEBO, MySpace and others, in addition to festival and artist sites, mobile phones and high-definition TV. In addition, Rubey is directly responsible for capturing the industry's top music festivals and concert performance in digital 3D for cinema distribution worldwide. Under Rubey's successful leadership, AEG Network LIVE has completed successful tour & CD launch campaigns for AEG Live clients including: Bon Jovi, Rod Stewart, Tina Turner & Prince. 2009 AEGNL projects include the Michael Jackson Memorial Service which delivered the live program to a record audience that reached over one Billion people worldwide thru broadcast, and mobile users. Other recent projects include Operation MySpace - LIVE from KUWAIT, the record setting live high-definition webcast for MySpace Music, live cinema events for Garth Brooks, Linkin Park and Fall Out Boy and cinema DVD premier events including Celine Dion, John Mayer, David Gilmore, and All Together Now, the Beatles LOVE documentary collaboration with Cirque du Soliel DVD premier. Prior to AEG Network LIVE, Rubey founded and owned Spring Communications, a leader in Pay Per View concerts and events, and held the position of COO of PACE Management, (now LIVE Nation) for over six years prior to Spring Communications. Rubey is a member of the Telly Awards Sliver Council. His productions have won numerous awards including Telly, Mobile Excellence Awards and other industry recognitions.


Greg Foster, Chairman and President of Filmed Entertainment, joined IMAX Corp
oration in March, 2001. Based at IMAX's Santa Monica office, Foster’s primary responsibility is overseeing all aspects of the company's global filmed entertainment activities, including creative, production, film distribution, business affairs, marketing, sponsorship, studio relationships and the revolutionary IMAX DMR® process. During Foster's tenure at the Company, he has successfully re-positioned IMAX’s film slate to include more commercial entertainment product by bringing numerous Hollywood blockbuster event films to IMAX Theatres around the world. Among the films released under Foster are some of the most popular entertainment franchises, and some of the most successful in IMAX’s history. These films include Apollo 13: The IMAX Experience; Star Wars: Attack Of The Clones: The IMAX Experience; The Matrix Reloaded: The IMAX Experience; The Matrix Revolutions: The IMAX Experience; Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban: The IMAX Experience; Spider-Man 2: The IMAX Experience; The Polar Express: An IMAX 3D Experience (the first ever digitally remastered IMAX® 3D animated film, which produced record-breaking results); Batman Begins: The IMAX Experience; Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: The IMAX Experience; Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire: The IMAX Experience; Superman Returns: An IMAX 3D Experience (the first live-action film with select scenes in IMAX 3D, which was an outstanding success at the box office ); Happy Feet: The IMAX Experience; 300: The IMAX Experience; Night at the Museum: The IMAX Experience; and most recently, The Dark Knight: The IMAX Experience. A seasoned Hollywood executive, Foster spent 15 years at MGM/UA where he served in various senior management posts, including Executive Vice President of Production and Senior Vice President of Motion Picture Marketing and Research. During the course of his career at MGM/UA, Greg played a key role in the production and/or marketing of over 150 films, including hits such as A Fish Called Wanda, Get Shorty, King Pin, Moonstruck, Rain Man, Species, Thelma and Louise, Untamed Heart and several from the James Bond – 007 series. In 1999, Foster founded uMogul, a financial services company offering retail investors competitive market returns via mutual funds comprised of entertainment industry assets. He held the positions of Chairman, Co-founder and President of uMogul. Foster is a 1984 graduate of Georgetown University. He and his wife have three sons and currently live in Los Angeles.

Chuck Comisky, 3-D Stereo VFX Supervisor, Avatar: STEREO-3D - A veteran S-3D i
nnovator having set standards for Jim Cameron's “AVATAR”, Comisky is supervising the S-3D for "SANCTUM" just wrapped in Australia. He's supervised the Stereo-3D and Visual Effects for Cameron’s IMAX 3D documentaries, “Ghosts of the Abyss” and “Aliens of the Deep”. Comisky also produced the filmed portion of the award winning theme park attraction “T2 – 3D Battle Across Time” while supervising the S-3D and Visual Effects. VISUAL EFFECTS: Supervises, produces, and designs visual effects while guiding digital artists to the results expected by a film's director. Major studios worked with (or for) include Disney, Fox, Sony/Columbia, Lightstorm Entertainment, New Line Pictures, Paramount, Universal, and visual effects powerhouses ILM, Digital Domain, and Sony Imageworks. PRODUCTION - Experience includes producing, production management, and directing 2nd & Visual Effects units. Chuck has worked with top film directors and producers ranging from James Cameron to Roger Corman, Brett Ratner, Arthur Hiller, John Badham, Michael Ritchie, Walter Coblenz, John McTiernan, Bill Condon, and many others.

Buzz Hays, Senior Vice President, Sony 3D Technology Center, Sony Corporation of America: Buzz Hays is the Chief Instructor for the Sony 3D Technology Center, dedicated to the creation of good 3D across movies, television, games and other platforms. Hays is responsible for all curriculum development, instruction and training for a broad range of people across the entertainment industry. For the last five years, Hays has been among a few pioneers in the field of 3D production. As a Senior Producer, 3D Stereoscopic Feature Films for Sony Pictures Imageworks, Hays was responsible for overseeing the adaptation of standard release feature films into three-dimensional stereoscopic versions for the IMAX 3D and Real D platforms. Hays’ work included adapting Robert Zemeckis’ BEOWULF. Previous Imageworks projects include the Imagemotion performance-capture animated film MONSTER HOUSE as well as the first CG feature from Sony Pictures Animation, OPEN SEASON. Prior to joining Imageworks, Hays worked for Radium where he executive produced visual effects for numerous music videos and broadcast commercials worldwide. Prior to working at Radium, Hays was executive producer at yU+co where he produced title sequences for films such as CATWOMAN, THE TERMINAL and THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK. Before that, Hays co-founded TriBeCa Interactive with Robert De Niro. In 1993, Hays co-produced the independent film, SWIMMING WITH SHARKS. Between 1987 and 1993, Hays served as director of engineering at Lucasfilm THX where he was responsible for all research and development efforts including the THX Sound System and Home THX. Hays also oversaw the design, construction and installation of over 600 movie theaters and film dubbing stages worldwide. Hays holds a Master of Fine Arts in Film Production from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Theatre Lighting and Scenic Design from the University of Maine.

Jim Hannafin is SVP – Business Development for Reliance MediaWorks (RMW). RMW is a diversified post production service provider headquartered in Mumbai which recently became a 50% partner in DreamWorks and acquired Lowry Digital in Burbank. Their recent collaboration with In-Three includes a commitment to staff and train 700 artists in Mumbai by January 2011 to provide “dimentionalizing” on an unprecedented scale to meet the rapidly growing need for quality 3D conversions. Reliance is investing significantly in helping proliferate quality 2D to 3D “dimentionalizing”. He has held senior management positions in the post production industry for many years serving as SVP – Sales for Ascent Media, SVP – Business Development for FotoKem, EVP – Sales and Marketing for Deluxe and 15 years with Technicolor as CFO and GM of their East Coast Division. He served on the Board of Directors, Technicolor, Ltd, Board of Governors of SMPTE and as Trustee of numerous pension funds. Currently member of Advisory Board of Digital Cinema Society and Board Member of ITA (Interactive Television Alliance) He is a current member of the American Society of Cinematographers, Association of Cinema Editors, AMIA and SMPTE. He has an Executive Post Graduate Management Certification from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business and a BBA from Iona College

Angela Wilson Gyetvan, Vice President, Marketing and Sales, has nearly twenty years of experience launching and building companies in multiple industries including digital media, videogames, e-commerce, and consumer products. She has held executive positions with Revver, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Food.com, Electronic Arts, and Broderbund Software. Achievements include building FSH&R's residential business to $100M in annual revenues; architecting Food.com's business and building out its user community to 16 million monthly transactions while raising $80M in funding; launching EA's "EA*Kids" brand to $20M in first-year revenues; and participating in the management team that took Broderbund Software public. Accolades include being named "Guerilla Marketer of the Year" by Brandweek, and she was honored as a women leader in business by the Haas School at UC Berkeley. Ms. Wilson Gyetvan is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, AFI, and Film Independent. She is active in social media and collaborates on two popular blogs covering digital media ("Digital Spritz") and wine ("Wine Giques"). She occasionally writes on politics and pop culture for several online publications. Ms. Wilson Gyetvan holds a BA from Duke University and an MBA from the College of William and Mary.

Jonathan Dern, Co-Founder / Executive Producer / President, Cinedigm: A global strategic and business visionary, Jonathan Dern can be found regularly on industry panels, quoted in articles and consulted for his insights into both the past and future of the animation and entertainment business, particularly in the cutting edge area of 3D production and distribution of LIVE events. Mr. Dern is the President and co-founder of Cinedigm’s Content and Entertainment Group, the world leader in digital theatrical distribution of targeted entertainment. Cinedigm’s Content and Entertainment Group is the exclusive provider of LIVE 3D, digital, in-theatre events through their CineLive™ program and in the last 18 months have produced (with Dern as Executive Producer) and distributed a variety of LIVE and RECORDED 3D sports events including LIVE 3D BCS College Championship Game 2009, LIVE 3D NBA All Star Saturday Night 2009, Dave Matthews Band 3D feature, Phish 3D feature, Bob the Builder 4D (at LegoLand) and the recent LIVE 3D NCAA Final Four 2010. Additionally, Cinedigm has recorded over 80 hours of 3D concert footage from: Mile High Festival, All Points West, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, as well as the recent WE ARE THE WORLD 25th anniversary/Relief for Haiti. Dern is one of the VERY FIRST Award winners in the 3D arena, having gotten the 2009 Global Media Award For Advancing 3D Content and Distribution (Presented by The National Academy Of Television Arts and Sciences). Dern has been a much sought after featured speaker in industry events, speaking at ShoWest, NAB, SVG, 3D Summit, Digital Hollywood and more, sharing his 3D production experience and rare footage with audiences. Cinedigm Entertainment Group has a number of additional theatrical programs, including programs of opera, concerts, faith, urban, anime, Kidtoons and high-octane sports. In addition to his leadership role at Cinedigm, Dern co-founded SD Entertainment (SD) with highly respected animation executive Paul Sabella. Previously, Dern and Sabella had spent the 1990s founding and running MGM Animation. Since its inception in 1999, SD has become one of the most respected companies in CGI, Stereoscopic 3D and 2D animation today. At SD, Dern focuses his energies on forming strategic alliances with entities as diverse as studios, broadcast and cable networks and Internet program providers. Simultaneously, he has produced television series and movies for a long list of clients, including Hasbro, HIT Entertainment, MGA, Hallmark, Chorion and American Greetings. Before teaming with Sabella, Dern was with DIC Enterprises, as well as Imagine Entertainment and Universal Pictures. He began his career in the Motion Picture Literary department at the William Morris Agency.

Keith Melton, Director, Mummies 3-D: Secrets of the Pharaohs: 20 plus years of directing, producing, and writing, he has worked in a variety of film and digital formats for clients throughout the world. Mr. Melton is currently directing the upcoming destination film, NAPA VALLEY 3D DREAMS. He is also the Digital 3D Supervisor for JACKASS 3D for Paradise FX and Paramount Pictures. Prior to that, he produced the Weird Al Yankovic 3D short AL’S BRAIN, with a cameo from Sir Paul McCartney. His IMAX 3D film CIRQUE DU SOLEIL: JOURNEY OF MAN, narrated by Ian McKellen, won Best Film from the Giant Screen Theater Association. Melton’s 70mm James Bond simulation film, LICENSED TO THRILL, is the most complex live-action simulation film ever created. MYSTIC INDIA, narrated by Peter O’Toole, was used by Sony as their preferred visual piece to showcase the quality of their 4k digital projectors. He experiments with the boundaries of the movie experience with such films as ADVENTURES IN AUDIANA, a journey into the land of music created for Panasonic, and SENSORIUM with unique opticals, surround-sound and interactive scents released in sync with the picture. Mr. Melton is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Science (A.M.P.A.S.) where he also serves as a member of the Executive Committee for the Short Films and Animation Branch; a founding member of the T.E.A., the newly formed International 3D Society; and a member of The Giant Screen Cinema Association.


Marty Shindler is CEO of Oculus3D Corporation, a company formed to accelerate the acceptance and penetration of stereoscopic cinema. The Company enables global theaters to install 3D projection systems at a fraction of the cost of existing systems using the vast installed base of 35MM projectors. The OculR produces images that are the brightest 3D in the industry, measuring 10fL through each eye to the polarizers. Previously, Mr. Shindler was CEO of The Shindler Perspective, a husband & wife consulting practice with Big 4 professional service firm and top 5 business school credentials. The firm consulted on business matters in a range of creative & technology businesses, from 3D, visual effects, DVDs and home entertainment options, movie libraries and their valuation to production techniques, IMAX and other aspects of the entertainment value chain. Prior to Oculus3D and The Shindler Perspective, Inc., Mr. Shindler’s employment included 20th Century Fox, Lucasfilm's Industrial Light &Magic, Kodak's Cinesite and Coopers &Lybrand (PriceWaterhouseCoopers).
