João Gonzaga is CTO and co-founder of the conVISUAL US as
well as COO of conVISUAL US, a 100% subsidiary of conVISUAL AG. conVISUAL is a leading international Full Service Provider with a focus on Mobile Marketing services for the mobile and media industries. Mr. Gonzaga is responsible for international business development across the North American, European, and Asian region. His expertise includes technical planning, software development, R&D and strategic planning. He has been consulting top advertising agencies sharing his knowhow and technical aspects on integrating mobile into a traditional marketing mix. Before joining conVISUAL, Mr. Gonzaga was working as a business solution manager and technical consultant at Ericsson Radio Sweden in the area of Telecom Management. Prior to Ericsson, he worked for D2 Mannesmann (today Vodafone D2) in several functions focusing on mobile data. João Gonzaga received his diploma in telecommunications engineering in 1995 at the University of Dortmund, Germany.





Alistair Goodman, CEO, 1020 Placecast: Alistair Goodman has a passion for helping to build successful organizations and brings to 1020 20 years of experience working in sales, marketing and product development efforts for both media and traditional companies. At 1020, he leads a team of experienced professionals working on leading-edge applications of location-based media technology. Prior to joining, 1020, Alistair was Vice President of Strategic Marketing at Exponential Interactive, an online media services and technology company whose flagship brand, the Tribal Fusion ad network. grew to be one of the largest privately-held digital media companies in the US. Prior to joining Exponential, he was a founder and Senior Vice President for Sales and Marketing at Impli, a digital media company which was acquired by PRN. Earlier in his career, he worked first on Wall Street and then as a management consultant for both CSC Index and Corven UK Ltd.

David Staas, Senior VP of Marketing, Jiwire: David Staas brings to JiWire more than 13 years of marketing and product management experience in the mobile and advertising industries. David comes to JiWire from Ad Infuse, a leading pioneer in mobile advertising, where he was vice president of marketing. At Ad Infuse, David helped build a premium network and platform business with leading mobile operators. Prior to Ad Infuse, David led the global product marketing team at Openwave Systems, responsible for a product portfolio with established mobile and broadband telecommunications providers in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. David has a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in business administration from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.

Branden Claisse, Director of Business Development, Mojiva: A highly seasoned sales/business development professional with experience in mobile, new/digital media, advertising/marketing, entertainment and publishing. A proven ability to quickly adapt, assume a leadership role and increase revenue in a wide variety of work environments.

Dave Curry, Director of Interactive, Pop Multimedia: Dave has more than a decade of interactive under his belt, creating works for hundreds of clients including Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft and Target. His work has been recognized in the Print Interactive Annual, Communication Arts, The FWA, and Graphis Design Annual. Dave plays daily word games on Twitter @DaveCurry.

Kara Nortman, SVP of Publishing, Citysearch.com: Kara Nortman is the Senior Vice President of Publishing for Citysearch.com a leading provider of local search services and an operating business of IAC. In this role, Ms. Nortman is responsible for overseeing the publisher side of the Citysearch business, which focuses on developing the consumer experience across Citysearch’s collection of local websites, which include Citysearch.com and InsiderPages.com. Ms. Nortman is also responsible for charting the growth of new content for Citysearch and its partner sites including Urbanspoon, MerchantCircle and more. Previously Ms. Nortman served as Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions for IAC were she oversaw a number of IAC’s recent moves in the local space including the acquisitions of InsiderPages and Urbanspoon, as well as IAC’s investment in MerchantCircle, where she currently holds a board seat. Prior to IAC, Ms. Nortman worked for Battery Ventures were she focused on investments in the Internet, communications and new media sectors. At Battery Ventures, Ms. Nortman was involved in the development of The NewsMarket, Spot Runner, The Loan Page (acquired by HouseValues), EnvoyWorldWide (acquired by PAR3 Communications), Kashya (acquired by EMC), and Cbeyond Communications (Nasdaq: CBEY). Ms. Nortman has also held positions at Microsoft and Morgan Stanley. Ms. Nortman holds a BA in political science from Princeton University and an MBA from Stanford University.

Rahul Sonnad, CEO, Geodelic: Rahul Sonnad founded Geodelic Systems in early 2
008 after using a GPS enabled laptop with a 3G internet card everyday for 2 years. Prior to founding Geodelic, Rahul conceived of and founded thePlatform, a Seattle-based digital video web services company. thePlatform now services the majority of large video publishers on broadband and wireless platforms, including Hulu, Verizon Wireless, Helio, CNBC, CBS, ABC News, most Comcast properties, and dozens of other major brands. thePlatform now operates as a subsidiary of the Comcast Corporation, which acquired the company in 2006. Previously, Rahul worked at Microsoft, managing the R&D activities on the Asian versions of the Office suite, and at Adobe Systems in engineering management. Rahul has a masters in engineering from the University of Washington and attended the Harvard Business School MBA program.







Leslie Grandy, Contributing Writer, Technorati: Leslie Grandy combines sixteen years in technology product marketing and development with thirteen years of previous experience in motion picture and television commercial production, to create innovative solutions that drive measurable results for both B2B and B2C companies. In the high-technology leadership positions she has held, Grandy has proven her ability to develop, position and launch high-tech products and develop highly rewarding marketing strategies in the Internet marketplace. As Vice President, Product Development at T-Mobile, Leslie led the launch of the first Android/Google developed phone, the T-Mobile G1, and shepherded release of no less than six versions of the company’s iconic Sidekick device, deemed by Forbes.com as a “Hall of Fame” handset along with the Razr and iPhone. Realizing innovation is a hallmark of Leslie’s development teams, as further illustrated by the launch of the first Blackberry device in a flip form factor. On the service side, her product development team included the T-Mobile franchise service, My Faves, which grew under her leadership to over 10M subscribers. She was recently named to Puget Sound Business Journal's TechFlash Top Women in Technology list. Prior to T-Mobile, Leslie served as the Apple’s ecommerce Director for the Americas, attaining more than $2B revenue annually. Leslie came to Apple from consulting roles for Forward Consulting, providing ecommerce guidance to companies like Turner Broadcasting System, Microsoft, and DivX. Grandy also served in multiple senior management positions in RealNetworks' Consumer Division, including General Manager, Consumer Marketing and GM of Media Acquisition, where she launched multiple versions of RealPlayer and RealJukebox, as well as GoldPass, Real's first Internet media subscription service, and the forerunner to the highly successful RealOne SuperPass offering, which acquired more than one million customers during her tenure. Earlier in her career, Grandy worked in the Washington State Department of Trade and Economic development, where she led a Governor's trade mission to Hollywood to attract motion picture production to Washington. Her efforts resulted in the productions of $52 million dollars of trade revenue associated with films including Sleepless in Seattle, Disclosure, and Crimson Tide. Before moving to Washington State, Grandy had an extensive career in the motion picture and television commercial industries in Hollywood. While at Pacific Western Productions in Los Angeles, she budgeted and supervised motion picture production activities for Producer Gale Anne Hurd and Director Brian de Palma, and assisted on or oversaw such productions as The Abyss, The Waterdance, Raising Cain, and Tremors. Grandy began her career as a freelance Assistant Director, Producer and Production Manager, working with television commercial clients including Ford, Frito-Lay and Coca-Cola. Grandy is a member of the Director's Guild of America and earned a Bachelor's degree in TV and Film from Northwestern University as well as a Master's of Business Administration from the University of Washington.
