Ben Feder, President & CEO, Take-Two Interactive: Ben Feder, a partner of ZelnickMedia since 2001, became Chief Executive Officer of Take-Two in March 2007. He served as Director of Take-Two from March 2007 to April 2010. Prior to co-founding ZelnickMedia, Mr. Feder was Chief Executive Officer of MessageClick, Inc., a leading provider of voice messaging technology for next generation telephone networks. Prior to founding MessageClick, Mr. Feder served as a senior executive at News Corp., where his most recent position was Executive Vice President, News MCI Internet Ventures. In this role, he oversaw worldwide corporate development, marketing, operations, content and advertising activities for News Corp.'s Internet services and led the company's negotiations for the formation of News MCI Internet Ventures, a News Corp. joint venture with MCI. Previously, Mr. Feder managed corporate development for Fox, the unit of News Corp. that develops and produces feature films and programming for television and cable television. At Fox, he was responsible for structuring and negotiating film financing, acquiring television assets, including Star TV in Asia, and distribution for cable networks, including Fox's FX channel. Mr. Feder holds an MBA from Harvard University and a BA from Columbia University.
Lewis Ward is a Research Manager in the Consumer Markets group based at IDC's headquarters in Framingham, Massachusetts. His area of coverage includes the worldwide evaluation and forecasting of opportunities, threats and trends in the console, personal computer and handheld/mobile gaming industry. Software, hardware and service aspects are examined in his advisory service, within the context of the broader consumer electronics space. A long-time enthusiast who developed a text-based game in BASIC for use on the Apple II in middle school and ruled the roost at Joust in the mid-80s, Mr. Ward brings more than two decades of game-related experience to bear in his current role. Since attending his first E3 in Atlanta in 1997, he has written about and/or played countless hours of FPS's, adventure games, and a variety of other genres though a piece of his heart still belongs to Lara Croft. Connected console gaming and community services are a significant focus of his program, as are the innovative and increasingly immersive input mechanisms. Online PC software are service uptake and revenue are also considered, informed by primary survey research. Regional distinctions allow game publishers and developers, hardware vendors and other ecosystem constituents to refine their strategies using the latest actionable intelligence. Prior to his current role, Mr. Ward covered mobile entertainment, including gaming, music and TV/video, at IDC from 2004 to early 2009 (spanning service provider, content developer and device perspectives). An award-winning author and frequent lecturer, his work has been featured in many industry-leading publications and Web sites. He was promoted from Senior Analyst to his current position in 1Q06. Before joining IDC, Mr. Ward was an analyst at Collaborative Strategies, a San Francisco-based management services firm from 1998 to 2004. He received a BA in English from the University of California at Berkeley in 1994, loves basketball, and spent a year in Spain while in college where he learned to enjoy tapas while discussing the finer points of Gaudí and Picasso.
Min Kim, Vice President of Marketing, Nexon America: As vice president of marketing at Nexon America, Min is responsible for business development initiatives and game operations of Nexon published titles in the US. His current professional and personal goal is the successful introduction and adoption of the microtransaction business model in the US. Prior to joining Nexon America, Min operated the successful launch of the Global Edition of MapleStory as the Vice President of Global Business Development at Wizet Corp. Today, MapleStory remains one of the world's top online games supported by a microtransaction business model. Min started his career in video games as a senior associate of business development at Nexon Corporation pursuing new business opportunities such as a social networking service, a board game business, and online game licensing. Before joining the online games space, Min was an investment banking analyst in the media group of Salomon Smith Barney in New York. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics-Statistics from Columbia College.
Anton Bruehl, President, International Development Group: Mr. Anton Bruehl founded San Francisco-based International Development Group (IDG) in 1984. For the past 23 years, Mr. Bruehl has provided his business expertise and vision to many of the largest and best known companies in the multimedia industry. While Mr. Bruehl was President of Atari International from 1980 to 1984, Ataris annual revenues increased from $8 million to over $400 million in less than three years. Mr. Bruehl established Atari subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, the Benelux and Italy, developed export programs to 28 countries and established a manufacturing venture in Brazil with a leading consumer electronics company. Under the direction of Mr. Bruehl, IDG was appointed as the exclusive international consultant for Tokyo-based Sega Enterprises from 1986 to 1991, during which time Sega generated more than $1.5 billion in revenues in Europe and Australia. Since 1991, Mr. Bruehl and the IDG team have worked on numerous consulting projects, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property distribution agreements and recruiting assignments.
Michael Bramlage, Director of Product Management, Nokia: Michael Bramlage heads product management of Ovi Store and is a relative newcomer to Nokia having spent over five years working for Microsoft in various product management, strategy, and business development functions in its online service unit. He is extremely excited about the potential for Ovi Store and spends nearly all his waking hours obsessing about how to get there faster and faster .and faster. In his (very limited) free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring NYC, and checking out new independent music. Responsibilities include product roadmap, feature design, and user experience for Ovi Store and its companion service for developers and publishers, called Ovi Publish.
