Jeff Litvack, General Manager of Global Product Development, Associated Press: Jeff is responsible for identifying and assessing new market and product opportunities for the AP worldwide. Under Jeff's leadership, the AP produced the award-winning AP Mobile news network, the first iPhone news application (introduced on stage at Apple's WWDC). Previously, Jeff served as the Executive Director at the Museum of Television & Radio where he sourced, negotiated, and executed online video partnerships with leading-edge technology companies specializing in digitization, storage, retrieval, and rights management. Prior to MT&R, Jeff was Head of Business Development and Strategic Planning with Yack, Inc. Jeff holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.S. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business where he graduated summa cum laude.
David Gill, Senior Director of Mobile Media & Marketing, The Nielsen Company: the worlds largest information and media company. Nielsen provides a complete understanding of how consumers get information, consume media and buy goods and services around the globe. In this role, David oversees Nielsens relationships with clients on both the buy and sell side of the mobile marketing ecosystem, i.e. content publishers, ad networks and portals, ad agencies and advertisers to help support their mobile strategies with research and consultative services. Prior to Nielsen, David was a Senior Director at M:Metrics and spent eight years with Motorola and Freescale Semiconductor in various sales and business development roles, both in the US and Europe. David is a frequent speaker and panelist at mobile industry events and is considered an expert in providing insight into consumer activity on the 3rd screen. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Texas in Austin and lives in Austin, Texas.
Cameron Friedlander, VP, Director of Creative technology, Designkitchen: Cameron Friedlander joined Designkitchen (WPP Group) in late 1999 to build out and lead an interactive team focused on the conceptual development and delivery of innovative solutions across a range of emerging technologies. Drawing on over a dozen years of strategic marketing leadership and technology experience, Cameron has helped shape Designkitchen's interdisciplinary teams to focus on the constant evolution of technologies and devices, while seamlessly integrating strategy, creative, and content into experience design. His emphasis on creating digital ecosystems and vision for utilizing emerging frameworks has continued to drive engagement and produce measurable results. During his tenure at Designkitchen, Cameron's teams have successfully concepted and developed award-winning solutions for Fortune 500 clients, such as Sears Holdings, CVS, Craftsman, Motorola, Burger King, Allstate, and Office Depot, among many.
Alex Limberis, VP of Business Development at Next Issue Media. Next Issue Media is a startup chartered to bring the next generation of interactive digital periodicals to the market. Next Issue Media is funded by a consortium of 5 major publishers Conde Nast, Hearst, Newscorp, Meredith and Time Inc. Mr. Limberis is a 20+ year veteran in data communications and media technologies. Prior to joining Next Issue Media, he was the Chief Operating of Syabas technology a leading provider of app platform based IP set top boxes, he was also the Director of Wireless, Broadband and Consumer Electronics in Microsofts Digital Media Division where he drove Microsofts success in the ubiquitous adoption of Windows Media into the consumer electronics, wireless and broadband ecosystems including, Mobile, IPTV, MP3 players and music and video services such as Verizon, Tivo, Amazon and Netflix. He drove Microsoft to join the DVD Forum and then served on the DVD Forum steering committee which resulted in the adoption of Windows Media into the HD-DVD and Blu-ray standards. Mr. Limberis also served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Dolby Labs where he defined Dolbys strategy to enter the networked entertainment ecosystems. Previously he was a VP at PMI (acquired by Microsoft), VP of Strategic Marketing at Aureal Semiconductor (acquired by Creative Labs), VP and GM at Korg (Yamaha), and a founder of Ensoniq (acquired by Creative Labs). Mr. Limberis holds several patents in the DSP and media fields. He was a BSEE major at Drexel University and holds an MBA from Santa Clara University.
David S. Levy, Chief Executive Officer, PHILO: As CEO of PHILO, David Levy is responsible for the overall vision, direction and execution of the platform. He is based in New York City. Immediately before launching PHILO, David was the co-founder of Tigerbow Inc., which lets users send real gifts to virtual addresses. Prior to starting Tigerbow, David spent 12+ years on and off Wall Street covering, advising, and investing in growth and technology companies. David began his career in ING Barings/Furman Selz, where he created the firms Internet research and investment banking practices. David was also a senior member of the Internet research team at Chase / H&Q and managed money for Ardsley Partners and MLH Capital. David is a graduate of the Jerome Fisher Program in Management & Technology at the University of Pennsylvanias School of Engineering and Applied Science and the Wharton School. He is also Co-Head of the Wharton Angel Network.
Ted Cohen, Managing Partner, TAG Strategic, Moderator: industry luminary and former, Vice President, Digital Development & Distribution, EMI Music: As Vice President of Digital Development & Distribution for EMI Music, Ted Cohen oversaw worldwide digital business development for this "big five" record company, which includes labels such as Capitol, Virgin, Angel/Blue Note, Parlophone and Chrysalis. Under Cohens guidance, EMI has led the industry with its initiatives in new technologies and business models such as digital downloads, online music subscriptions, custom compilations, wireless services, high-definition audio and Internet radio. In addition to seeking out, evaluating and executing business opportunities for the company, Cohen serves as both a strategist and key decision-maker for EMIs global new media and anti-piracy efforts. He has worked to establish company-wide policies, which have allowed EMIs artists and labels a substantial advantage in the digital music arena. Cohen served previously as the Executive Vice President of Digital Music Network Inc., where he co-founded and served as Chairman of the Webnoize 98 & 99 conferences. He currently chairs MidemNet, an international music/technology conference convened in Cannes each year. Cohen also held senior management positions at both Warner Bros. Records and Philips Media. Additionally, Cohen lead two highly successful new media consulting operations, DMN Consulting and Consulting Adults, attracting clients such as Amazon.com, Microsoft, Universal Studios New Media, DreamWorks Records, Liquid Audio, Wherehouse Records/Checkout.com and several other entertainment, computer and new media organizations. A 25-year industry veteran, Cohen serves on the NARAS (Grammy) Los Angeles chapter Board of Governors, the Board of Directors for the Neil Bogart Memorial Fund, Co-chairs the new media arm of the T.J. Martell Foundation, and lends his time and talents to the Grammy In The Schools Program.
