Christopher Barry, Senior Vice President, Digital Media & Business Strategy, Sundance Channel: As senior vice president of digital media and business strategy for Sundance Channel, Christopher Barry leads all of the channel’s activities online, via mobile devices and on electronic sell-through platforms, and manages all business development and digital distribution activities. Under his direction, SundanceChannel.com has experienced record traffic growth, developed into an advertising supported Web site and has been recognized with several prestigious industry honors. He was named to this post in January 2006. Barry manages Sundance Channel’s Web site, including content strategy, original video production, blog editorial, technology development and online ad sales. He led the award-winning re-design of SundanceChannel.com and developed and executed the strategy to build custom advertising and sponsorship opportunities on SundanceChannel.com for key clients such as Lexus, Grey Goose Vodka (2010 and 2008 Webby Award designations) and American Express (2008 Webby Award nominee). Barry also directed the launch of FullFrontalFashion.com, a Web site covering contemporary fashion and design. The Web design and original video development efforts spearhead by Barry have been recognized with numerous digital awards including, four 2010 Webby Awards; three 2009 Webby Awards, among them best movie and film website; 2008 Webby Awards and several nominations such as best home page, best navigation and structure and best television website, as well as Webby Awards honoree designations, and several Interactive Media Awards. In addition, Barry was named to CableFAX’s Digital Hot List for two consecutive years (2009 – 2010). Barry negotiated and actively manages all content syndication and strategic partnerships for Sundance Channel, including those with YouTube, Yahoo, iTunes, Verizon’s VCast, and Hulu. Prior to joining Sundance Channel in 2003, Barry was a vice president in Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking division in New York and London (Media and Communications Corporate Finance Group). His clients included cable companies and television broadcasters with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, capital financing and strategic planning. Barry also worked as a financial consultant with Arthur Andersen in Chicago. Barry earned his Master of Business Administration in Finance from Columbia Business School, Beta Gamma Sigma honors, and a Master of International Affairs in Economic and Political Development from Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs. Barry earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame, Summa Cum Laude honors. He is also a Certified Public Accountant. Barry is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. He lives in SoHo in New York City.

Lauren Wiener, Senior Vice President, Meredith Women’s Network: Lauren Wiener
is Senior Vice President of The Meredith Women’s Network, a position she has held since May 2005. In this role, she leads the company’s digital and emerging media business and oversees the Meredith Women’s Network, which serves more than 15 million women at every life stage and passion point. Wiener is responsible for all sales and marketing, business development, product development and brand communication for nine premium Web sites, including Meredith’s flagship brands -- Better Homes and Gardens (BHG.com), Ladies’ Home Journal (LHJ.com) and Parents (Parents.com). She is also responsible for Meredith’s Mobile and eTablet sales and marketing initiatives. Wiener has expanded Meredith Interactive beyond content to become a powerhouse for generating subscriptions, customer service and email acquisition. She has used Meredith’s interactive platforms to significantly increase the Company’s Internet revenues. Additionally, Wiener spearheaded the introduction of The Meredith Parent’s Portal (Parents.com) which garners an average of more than 2 million monthly unique visitors with 25 million page views. In May 2009, Wiener was selected by Publishing Executive as one of the “Top Women in Magazine Publishing”. She was named to the 2008 FOLIO: 40, FOLIO Magazine’s annual list of magazine industry influencers and innovators and oversaw the re-launch of BHG.com, the online home of Better Homes and Gardens, which won two min’s Best of the Web awards in 2008 for both Redesign/Relaunch and Team of Year. In 2007, the American Advertising Federation chose Wiener as an inductee into its prestigious Advertising Hall of Achievement. Wiener joined Meredith in 2003 as Managing Director of Sales and Marketing. Her background includes two posts at Primedia, serving first as Vice President and General Manager of the American Baby Internet Group, and later as Vice President and General Manager of the Seventeen Internet Group. Prior to that, she spent two years as Senior Director of Business Development for Starmedia Network, Inc., where she helped a start-up grow into the largest Spanish and Portuguese new media company. Wiener has also served as Director of Business Development for MTV Networks and as a media consultant for the Boston Consulting Group. Wiener earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University (Magna Cum Laude) and a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard’s Graduate School of Business Administration. She resides in Manhattan with her husband and two daughters. Meredith is one of the nation's leading media and marketing companies with businesses centering on magazine brands, book publishing, television broadcasting, integrated marketing and interactive media. Among Meredith media content are such well known brands as Better Homes and Gardens, Family Circle, Ladies' Home Journal, Parents, Fitness, American Baby, Siempre Mujer and ReadyMade – and approximately 200 special interest media titles.

Catherine Balsam-Schwaber, Senior Vice President of Marketing, iVillage: Named the Senior Vice President of Marketing for iVillage in November 2009, Catherine leads all marketing initiatives, brand strategy, cross-channel partnerships and internal relationships across NBCU. Catherine has extraordinary experience building brands and creating powerful marketing partnerships. At iVillage, she is focused on evolving the brand positioning as the largest content driven community for women on the Web. Before joining iVillage, Catherine was Vice President of Integrated Marketing for MTV Networks, where she oversaw driving content initiatives that ranged from branded entertainment to short-form programming to product placement. Her work took shape through programs that come to life on all platforms - on-air, online, in store and direct to DVD. – with a special emphasis on creative development around the commercial experience. Marquis clients included Nike, PlayStation, Target, EA, Nintendo, Sprint, Pepsi and the launch initiative for Xbox 360 which won silver in the ‘06 Reggies. Prior to MTV, Catherine served as the Vice President of Marketing Partnerships & Programming for Rock the Vote where she developed RTV’s media partnerships with MTV, The WB, CNN, CBS Daytime, BET, Teen People, Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone and AOL. These partnerships launched original on-air, in-print and online content programs driving awareness and voter registration. From 2002-2004, Catherine was an Executive Director in Program Development & Ideation with Time Warner Global Marketing Solutions. She successfully developed breakthrough ideas that attracted media investment and corporate commitment through creative programming and cross-platform initiatives. Catherine has a divers background in multiple aspects of media. She served as a Staff Assistant in the Clinton White House which led to her position as the Technical Assistant on Rob Reiner’s film The American President. Working with former Administration colleagues, she was a co-founder of QRS New Media, a communications consulting firm in Washington, DC, which produced the first-ever live satellite uplink from a moving train on the Clinton/Gore 21st Century Express. Just after business school, Catherine jumped into news production as a Research Production Associate for Tom Brokaw at NBC News. Catherine earned her Bachelors degree at Brandeis University and went on to receive her Masters of Business from New York University, Leonard N. Stern School of Business. She currently lives in Manhattan with her husband Edward Lang.

Susan Campos is the co-founder of Beautyundercover.com - a blog covering trends in the world of beauty. In addition to editing Beautyundercover, Susan writes regularly for The New York Times, The Huffington Post and recently published a book with Grand Central Publishing. Before writing about pop-culture and trends, Susan worked in television news as an anchor/reporter at The Today Show and MSNBC. During that time she was conducting interviews with politicians, business executives, and celebrities on a daily basis. At NBC, Susan was the national weekend anchor of The Today Show, hosted weekly shows for MSNBC, and worked on stories at Dateline. Prior to NBC, Susan worked for several years in local news. Shortly after graduating from the University of Southern California, she worked in local news in a number of markets including Los Angeles. At KABC-TV in Los Angeles where she was an award winning anchor/reporter.
