Jay L. Sampson, Vice President, Emerging Media Sales & Agency Relations- U.S., Microsoft Corporation: As Vice President of Microsofts emerging media sales efforts, Mr. Sampson is responsible for defining go-to-market strategies as well as overseeing sales teams that drive results across the important new media offerings in gaming, mobile, video and (advanced) television. Jay also fields a team of senior consultants assigned to the US divisions of the worlds six major agency holding companies. A seasoned executive with nearly 20 years of media sales experience, Mr. Sampson joined Microsoft Corporation in 1997 as one the first media sales executives for the company. Since joining, Jay has held a number of positions within in the organization including the development of the vertical sales approach by starting the MSN® Financial Services sales, ran Western U.S. sales and built a global sales force associated to Microsofts gaming businesses. A frequent evangelist for new media, Mr. Sampson works closely with Microsoft product groups like Xbox Live, Microsoft Mobile Media and Admira, Microsofts Advanced TV solution, to develop advertising opportunities and solutions to meet the needs of Fortune 500 marketers. Prior to Microsoft, Jay worked in New York City for Dow Jones & Company in a number of capacities and was on the forefront of their efforts to launch sites like Barrons Online. Mr. Sampson sits on several civic and industry boards as well as in an advisory role for ZS Associates, a global management consulting firm specializing in sales and marketing consulting, capability building, and outsourcing. He resides in the Seattle area with his wife and three daughters.

Alain Groenendaal, president & CEO, Wing: Alain joined Wing from la comunidad, the Miami based creative shop, where he was General Manager. Before that he built his career at Leo Burnett, where he worked in several different offices and roles, most recently as Senior VP Regional Strategy and Business Development in the Latin America headquarters. Having worked in both a large multinational agency as well as a small creative hot shop, Alain know the benefits and challenges of both and wants to make Wing the best of both worlds. Throughout his career Alain has championed clients in account management, developed the agencys integrated communications offering, lead new business efforts and brand consulting projects in the U.S., Brazil, Chile, Puerto Rico as well as globally. He has worked with local and multinational clients such as McDonalds, Best Buy, Shell, Procter & Gamble, Citibank, Federal Express, Diageo, Gatorade, Walt Disney and Visa, across a broad variety of categories from packaged goods to telecommunications (and most things in between). What motivates Alain is curiosity about brands, categories, clients, people. While he has an MBA from Duke University, his multidisciplinary approach was most probably inspired by his background (half French, half Dutch, born in New York, raised in Canada, married to a Puerto Rican and a lover of Latin culture) as well as his fluency in many different languages.
Ken Stolman is currently the Associate Brand Manager for the Coors Light brand equity team, with MillerCoors in Chicago. In this role, Ken manages various equity related projects, most notably the out-of-home, radio, print and emerging media plans, and assists with all equity TV development. Working in tandem with his agencies, Ken provides the brand perspective on all added-value media development and most recently led the official Coors Light brand guidelines development for all internal and external usage. Ken serves as the team lead for the national marketing budget across the general market, multicultural, retail and innovation teams, and serves as the lead coordinator for quarterly business analytics deep dive discussions. Earlier in 2010, Ken contributed to long term brand strategy planning, and in 2009 he led a cross functional team consisting of agencies, insights, media and legal colleagues to deliver the first-ever branded integration within the Tivo platform. Ken came to MillerCoors with several years of brand management and diverse marketing experiences. Prior to MillerCoors, he was the Senior Associate Brand Manager for A.1. with Kraft Foods North America. Prior to Kraft Foods, Ken received his MBA from NYU Stern School of Business after spending over four years in venture philanthropy, most notably as the Program Associate for The Gift of New York (a September 11th crisis management project). Ken holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University. He is an avid Chicago sports fan, and will go to great lengths to attend a Pearl Jam concert.

BlackVoices unique visitor count has doubled during his tenure. Previously, Tariq served as director of interactive media for BlackEnterprise.com, responsible for the overall operation of Web site. He oversaw and directed the teams leading content management, business development, strategic planning, marketing and advertising and sponsorship sales. From 1995 to 1999, he served as the publication's Technology Editor. In between his roles at Black Enterprise, Tariq served as co-founder and vice president, Content Development of iClique Inc., a content syndication company that served portals and other Web sites. His primary functions related to business development and strategic planning related to acquiring content feeds from various providers. During his tenure he assisted the founding team in raising over $2 million in venture financing. Jeremy Lockhorn, Director-Emerging Media and Video Innovation, Avenue A | Razorfish: Lockhorn is a member of the agencys advanced marketing solutions (AMS) team and is focused on consumer interaction with video across all platforms. He evaluates emerging technologies and helps define agency strategies for integrating into client campaigns by synthesizing disparate technologies and channels into cohesive extensions of campaign ideas. He supports cross-discipline client teams with research, education, and ideation. The AMS team also works closely with publishers and content owners to reinvent video advertising with a more consumer-friendly model. Lockhorn joined Avenue A | Razorfish in January of 1997, as the first employee of the Philadelphia office. During his 10-year tenure at the agency, his various roles have centered on the intersection of media, creative, and technology. Most recently, he served as group director / creative specialist for Avenue A | Razorfish West, launching creative services in Seattle and managing creative strategy for diverse clients.
