Deborah Forte, President, Scholastic Media: Forte is the lead creative and business executive. Forte formed Scholastic Entertainment, a part of Scholastic Media, in 1997. She has produced over 300 productions, including: Clifford The Big Red Dog on PBS and spin-off series Cliffords Puppy Days, Dear America, the critically-acclaimed series for HBO; the Emmy Award-winning I Spy; Scholastics Emmy Award-winning series, The Magic School Bus; Goosebumps; and The Baby-sitters Club. Fortes newest series WordGirl was recently nominated for three Emmys.
Michael Levine, Founding Director, Joan Ganz Cooney Center, Sesame Workshop: an action research and innovation institute devoted to harnessing the potential of digital media to advance young children's learning and development. Prior to joining the Center, Dr. Levine served as Vice President of New Media and Executive Director of Education for Asia Society, managing the global nonprofit organization's interactive media and educational initiatives to promote knowledge and understanding of Asia and other world regions, languages and cultures. Previously, Dr. Levine oversaw Carnegie Corporation of New York's groundbreaking work in early childhood development, educational media and primary grades reform, and was a senior advisor to the New York City Schools Chancellor, where he directed dropout prevention, afterschool and early childhood initiatives. Dr. Levine is a frequent adviser to the White House, the U.S. Department of Education, PBS and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, writes for public affairs journals, and regularly appears in the media. He was named by Working Mother magazine as one of America's most influential leaders in shaping family and children's policy and serves on numerous nonprofit boards and advisory councils, including We Are Family Foundation, the Forum for Youth Investment and Teach For America. Levine is also a senior associate at the Edward Zigler Center in Child Development and Social Policy at Yale University. He received his Ph.D. in Social Policy from Brandeis University's Florence Heller School and his B.S. from Cornell University.
Vineet Madan, Vice President, Learning Ecosystems at The McGraw-Hill Companies: Vineet currently leads the Learning Ecosystems group at McGraw-Hill Education focused on developing breakthrough digital products and services to optimize faculty, student and institutional workflows in the higher education marketplace. One of the first offerings released is GradeGuru, an online student learning community site. From 2006 through 2009, Vineet served as Vice President and global head of strategy and corporate development for McGraw-Hill Education (MHE), a $2.5B segment of The McGraw-Hill Companies. In that role Vineet has been helping lead MHEs digital transformation leading product and market strategy efforts across K-12, assessment, higher education and international resulting in the launch of new digital products and services with annual revenues exceeding $50+MM/year. Vineet joined McGraw-Hill in 2005 as a Senior Director in Corporate Strategy. Prior to joining The McGraw-Hill Companies, Vineet spent five years at the global management consulting firm of Booz Allen Hamilton (now Booz & Co.) where he received the firms highest awards for both excellence in client service and leadership in community service. His work there focused on strategy development, implementation, and business process reengineering for media, high tech, healthcare and financial services clients. Earlier, Vineet was a vice president at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., where he held a series of escalating responsibilities spanning information systems management, credit risk, call center operations, product development and marketing. He currently serves on the Board of the Education division of the Software Information Industry Association (SIIA) and was previously a Board observer at HotChalk. Over the past few years he has been a feature speaker or panelist at a number of venues including the New York Times, SIIA Ed Tech Business Forum, National Principals Leadership Institute and Social Media Week. Vineet holds a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from Columbia University and a MBA, with honors, in finance and economics from Columbia Universitys Graduate School of Business. Vineet has also completed the High Potentials Leadership Program at Harvard Business School.
Ori Inbar, CEO, Ogmento: Ori Inbar co-founded Ogmento in 2009 a developer and publisher of mobile augmented reality experiences. As the author of Games Alfresco the leading blog for augmented reality, and President of the Augmented Reality (AR) Consortium an international group of pioneering AR companies Ori has established himself as a thought leader in the emerging industry, and is a recognized speaker and a sought after advisor for augmented reality initiatives. Previously, as Senior Vice President of Solution Marketing for SAPs platform, Ori was responsible for the positioning and marketing of SAP NetWeaver which under his leadership has grown from a mere concept to a billion dollar business for SAP. Prior to SAP, Ori joined TopTier Software, among the first employees of this start-up. During his career, Ori has lead the development and introduction to the market of more than 25 multimedia and business applications including the worlds leading enterprise portal. Ori has a double major in Computer Science and Cinema from Tel Aviv University, and is a graduate of INSEAD University leadership program.
Tom Dusenberry is the Founder of Dusenberry Entertainment. He has been involved in the games industry for the past 30 years. A former CEO and President (1995 - 2001) of Hasbro Interactive, Mr. Dusenberry has a proven track record for building exceptional teams and achieving extraordinary business results in a fast-paced, evolving interactive industry. He is a creative strategic thinker who can expand existing markets and develop new markets. His career focus in consumer electronics and media content applications includes electronic games, video console games, video hand-held games, CD-ROM/DVD, internet games, wireless entertainment, social networking, FLASH animation, interactive toys and motion based entertainment.
