Hyper Relevance – Content - Recommendations in Broadband & Mobile to TV – Enhancing the Personal and Commerce Relationships
As the technology is refined and the networks become more powerful, the customer experience will become richer in accessing content and information, locating and interacting in communities of ideas as well as being served more relevant commerce and advertising information. As the consumer pursues his/her areas of interest, joining and interacting in communities, content and advertising partners must respond in kind, by giving the consumer only the data that is relevant. As the smartphone, computer and TV platforms become more elegant, both physically as well as in its software and operating system capabilities, the world of hypertageting and hyperselecting – from both the client and server sides will deliver a more satisfactory and sophisticated experience.

Neil Budde has been president and chief product officer of DailyMe Inc. since 2008. He joined DailyMe, a technology company specializing in dynamic personalization for digital media and e-commerce, after nearly 30 years of print and online news experience. He was founding editor and publisher of The Wall Street Journal Online and later vice president and editor in chief at Yahoo! News, Finance and Sports. His career began as an editor and/or reporter at The Richmond Times-Dispatch, The Louisville Courier-Journal, and USA Today. Budde earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Western Kentucky University and an MBA from the University of Louisville. He on the boards of the Online News Association, the News Literacy Project and the First Amendment Coalition.












Randall Hounsell,
VP, and GM of StreamSage at Comcast Cable Communications Managemen
t: StreamSage is a wholly owned subsidiary that develops and manages software platforms to enable search, discovery, and monetization of Comcast’s video content across platforms. Their platforms support 30 MM+ set-top boxes and 20 MM+ unique online users. Randall oversees all aspects of the company, including Product Management, Engineering, Research, Finance and Operations.  Previously at Comcast, Randall directed the product and business development for Search and Marketplace on Comcast.net, where he grew Comcast.net from virtually zero to be the 6th largest US provider of web search. Prior to Comcast Randall worked in Strategic Planning for Circuit City, leading many of their key market and product development initiatives. Randall has an extensive background in strategic planning, business development, and product development.








Daren Gill, Vice President and General Manager of Veveo, vTap: Daren brings 13 years of
media and entertainment experience to Veveo having performed a broad range of roles including executive management, marketing, sales and product management. Prior to Veveo, Daren served as Senior Vice President of Business Development at ChoiceStream. Before ChoiceStream, Daren was Senior Vice President Marketing at MusicMaker.com. Prior to joining MusicMaker, Daren served as COO of Putumayo World Music, a record label presenting the best in Latin, African, Reggae, Celtic and other world music compilations. Daren began his career as an attorney focused on entertainment law, but left private practice to co-found the Hear Music record label. Daren has J.D. from the University Of Connecticut School Of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the same University. He is a frequent industry speaker on the topics of personalization, social networking and the semantic web.

David Maher Roberts,
Chief Executive Officer, The Filter: David Maher Roberts is an
entrepreneurial executive with web start-up and international new media experience. After completing European Economics and Law and Advanced Management programs, Mr. Roberts began his career as a magazine editor and publisher. At the young age of 24, he successfully raised the funds to launch Unique, the first student lifestyle magazine, and The Game, a European football magazine. With roots firmly in content and fulfilling specific information and entertainment needs, Mr. Roberts went on to become the publishing director at Future Games in 2001. There he served as the board director responsible for the entire portfolio of 10 magazines, 2 websites, and 80 employees. After 2 years, he founded Future Plus, a creative agency to provide tailor-made print and digital content solutions for Future’s advertisers. As Future Plus’s publishing director, Mr. Roberts generated revenues of more than 8 million dollars in just over 2 years. From June 2004-December 2006, he also served as the New Media Director for Future’s European web operations. After leaving Future, Mr. Roberts served as the New Media director at iSporty, where he provided the founders with a launch strategy and platform for their sport social network and he was a founder and senior partner of Digital-dna LLP, where he consulted on creating and implementing web strategies for their clients. In his spare time, Mr. Roberts plays, watches, and coaches football and passionately makes and listens to music. He lives with his wife and two children outside of Bath.

Chris Neimeth, Chief Commercial Officer, Daylife: Before joining Daylife, Mr. Neimeth was C
EO of Salon Media Group, where he managed development of OpenSalon, the company’s social blogging platform featuring the Internet’s first fee-free, peer-to-peer content payment solution. Prior to Salon, he was President of InterActive Corp. Partner Marketing, where he drove rapid, eight-figure income growth through integrated marketing programs and advertising sales across IAC’s stable of companies, including Ticketmaster, Expedia, Hotels.com, Match.com, Citysearch, and Evite. Additionally, Mr. Neimeth was CEO of Real Media, where he oversaw the integration of European, Asian, and Latin American acquisitions and did the company’s S-1 filing for the SEC. Mr. Neimeth joined Real Media after serving as Senior Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Planning at The New York Times Digital. While at The New York Times, he conceived and implemented NYTimes.com’s mandatory site registration and international subscription program, which was used to pioneer the Web’s first demographic 1-to-1 dynamic advertising solution. Mr. Neimeth cut his teeth at Grey Advertising, where he managed media planning for most of the agency’s Procter & Gamble business and then co-founded Grey Interactive in 1994. Mr. Neimeth graduated from Hamilton College with a BA in Anthropology and Economics, has been invited twice to the Aspen Institute’s forum on communication and society and has twice served as an elected member of the IAB Board of Directors.

Michele McGarry is the Vice President of Business Development for ThinkAnalytics. She leads direct sales, partner and OEM development efforts for ThinkAnalytics in North America. Michele has spent her career working with emerging technologies and markets. Several years were dedicated to corporate computer security technologies, helping global companies protect their systems and information, including 5 years with Trident Data Systems (now General Dynamics). During her time in London, she established a European presence and distribution channel for Worldtalk Corporation, a then leader in email security and encryption. She also dedicated several years developing new advertising revenue streams for new media with Quokka Sports and at eZula (now Kontera), creating a platform for contextual advertising. Michele holds a Bachelor of Science from Santa Clara University and an MBA from Loyola Marymount University, where her work in quality management across cultures was published through the International Academy of Business Disciplines.






Robertson Barrett, Chief Strategy Officer, Perfect Market: Robertson Barrett spent more than 14 years managing online ventures in new media and publishing before joining Perfect Market as Chief Strategy Officer in 2009. His experience includes senior positions at Tribune Interactive, Time Inc. (time.com), Disney (abcnews.com) and Primedia Inc. (Channel One Interactive). As executive VP of Tribune Interactive, Rob headed the operations and strategic development of online properties for 40 U.S. markets and oversaw all Tribune news, entertainment and TV sites including latimes.com, chicagotribune.com and baltimoresun.com. As senior VP of interactive and general manager of latimes.com, Rob managed the development of the Times multimedia and online operations' $75 million interactive portfolio. He led all Tribune markets in yearly growth and increased latimes.com's audience by 50% in 2007 and 100% in 2008, receiving Tribune Co.'s top management award for his success. Rob also was vice president and general manager of the Feed Room Inc., an Internet news venture backed by NBC, overseeing the creation of video-on-demand for NBC, Tribune Co., CBS and local station groups. He got his start in publishing as a staff reporter at the Raleigh (N.C.) News & Observer. He holds a B.A. from Duke University and a master's degree in economics and public policy from Harvard University.
