Benjamin Chen,
Chairman and CEO, Mochila: Benjamin Chen is a leader in business and technology management, with over 25 years of experience in working with both startups and fortune companies, focused on media, online advertising, interactive agency, enterprise software, accounting, content management systems, networking and data centers. Mr. Chen is the Founder and CEO of Mochila, a leading content and syndication platform for delivering customized solutions for brand advertisers and premium publishers. Mr. Chen has worked as an external entrepreneur in residence for both JP Morgan and Mission Ventures as well as acted as an advisor conducting due diligence on many new business models and technologies for GE Capital. At iXL, a strategic interactive agency (now part of Microsoft), Mr. Chen was the global CTO and CIO responsible for all internal and external technology initiatives, as well as leading the due diligence in the acquisition and integration of over 30 companies, helping grow the company in three years from 60 to 3,000 people, with offices in the US, Europe and Asia. Client engagements included work for AT&T, Delta Airlines, Federal Express, GE and Sony. He was part of the management team that took iXL public in 1999, with a market capitalization of over 4 billion. Mr. Chen was Founder and CEO of AppGenesys, CTO for Boxtop Interactive and Founder and CTO of Ironlight Digital (bought by Publicis Groupe). Mr. Chen also worked at CBS Studio Center, as a technologist working on some of the first convergence of prime time television content and the internet. Mr. Chen produced the 1996 Emmy Awards Cybercast. Mr. Chen is called upon frequently for his business and technology expertise; he has served on the advisory/boards of Teralytics and Exodus/Digital Island, a Cable and Wireless Company, and he is invited as a speaker and panelist to many new media, technology and venture conferences. Mr. Chen is a graduate from the University of Southern California and is an avid martial artist with a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido.

Lewis Rothkopf, Senior Vice President, Network & Exchange, BrightRoll: Lewis is charged with
broadening BrightRoll’s audience reach and enhancing client value by building strategic partnerships with the web’s top branded publishers. Prior to joining BrightRoll, Lewis was Head of Distribution for the National Broadband Company (NBBC), NBC Universal’s digital video syndication business, where he was responsible for connecting premium digital video owners with the web’s premier publishers. Active in the digital media community for a decade, Lewis spent five years at DoubleClick Inc.’s TechSolutions for Publishers business, most recently as sales and account management leader. He was at LightningCast Inc., one of the first video advertising companies, as director of sales for the video ad insertion technology business, where he helped ready the company for acquisition by AOL LLC. In those capacities, he spearheaded technology and media solutions for numerous industry leaders, including AOL, Washington Post.Newsweek Interactive, Disney/ABC, Scripps Networks, MTV Networks, CBS Inc., Knight Ridder Digital, United Online, among many others. Lewis holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Boston University and lives in Manhattan with his wife Nichole.



Todd Bender,
Vice President, Business Development, MTV Networks Digital: Todd Bender is vice president of business development of MTV Networks Digital. In this role, Bender is responsible for bringing new business opportunities and capabilities to MTV Networks Digital’s industry leading, ever-expanding arsenal of digital marketing solutions. He has successfully launched and continues to oversee operation of the company’s Tribes networks, demographic- and vertically focused ad networks anchored by the company’s core digital properties, as well as its advanced audience targeting solutions. Prior to joining MTV Networks, Bender was a product manager in the media division of Nokia with global responsibility for the company’s MOSH and Ovi Store products. Bender also had a five-year tenure at Digitas, where, as an associate director, he led several major digital marketing strategy, web development, online media and traditional marketing programs for American Express.






James Colborn, Director, Microsoft Advertising: James runs a product marketing unit for Microsoft's network advertising business. Previously, he was responsible for the public relations, marketing, and evangelism of Microsoft adCenter. Prior to Microsoft, James worked for a boutique search engine marketing firm, Inceptor, where he was responsible for search strategies for both pre-sales and post-sale customers. In addition to working in online advertising for over 10 years, James authored "Search Marketing Strategies: A Marketers' Guide to Objective Driven Success from Search," has written numerous articles, and has been part of the online marketing industry speaking circuit — including SES, ad:Tech, DMA, SMX, and MediaPost conferences — for more than seven years.






Hal Muchnick, President, Kontera: Hal has 20 years of experience in the interactive media,
marketing information and analytics. As Kontera's President, Hal is responsible for sales, services, strategic and business development, account management and field operations. Prior to Kontera, Hal served as Executive Vice President / General Manager at Operative, a global advertising resource management (ARM) platform provider, where he oversaw global sales, consulting, professional and client services and served on Operative’s Board of Directors. Previously, Hal served as Vice President, Global Sales and Account Management for DoubleClick, where he was responsible for the web publisher, digital agency, and Rich Media segments. Prior to DoubleClick, Hal was Chief Operating Officer of LowerMyBills.com, where he was responsible for technology, product, sales and marketing and helped scale the company to be leading direct response marketer on the web. Previously he spent over 10 years at Experian in the marketing information and analytics segments. He helped evolve Experian from a TRW operating unit into a stand-alone global marketing information services company and delivered award winning products to market.

Judy Lee, Senior Industry Consultant, Teradata: Judy Lee is a Senior Industry Consultant in media, advertising and information services for Teradata Corporation. Based in New York, her role is to provide strategy and vision for sales and data integration solutions in these key industries. Lee has over twenty-five years of experience in marketing and general management in magazine, newspaper and digital media companies. She began her career in the consumer marketing department at The Village Voice, where she applied targeting to niche media, and learned the nuances of national, retail, entertainment and classified advertising. She helped to build out the Voice’s advanced classified advertising systems and was a member of the launch team that started 7 DAYS Magazine in 1987. Lee has served as Vice President of Conferences & Education for the Folio:, Direct and Catalog Age b-to-b media brands, and as Vice President of Marketing for Cowles Business Media, where she directed the launch of The Cowles Report on Database Marketing, Folio: First Day, and the acquisition of the National Center for Database Marketing (NCDM) Conferences. She was named President of Cowles’ 1995 internet start-up, Media Central, and subsequently worked for McGraw-Hill as their Professional Publishing group’s Vice President of Direct and E-Commerce Marketing. Lee served as Vice President Marketing and CRM for an applications developer to the media industry before joining Teradata in 2007.

Kalina Nikolova, Senior Manager, Deloitte Consulting LLP: Kalina Nikolova is a Senior Manager in Deloitte Consulting’s Media & Entertainment practice, with over 13 years of experience in Media and Advertising. Drawing on her background in advertising and marketing, she is currently helping clients realize the opportunities brought by new media and advertising revenue models, while tackling the operational challenges that go along with these changes. Most recently she has led engagements related to designing new operating models and processes for multi-channel operations, re-designing the multi-channel content creation process for a news organization, improving advertising processes and systems, improving advertising sales effectiveness, digital distribution of advertising content. Prior to Deloitte Kalina was a Media Director at a global Advertising Media Agency, responsible for regional media planning and buying for major global brands.









Jefferson Wang, Partner at IBB Consulting Group LLC: Jeff leads the Wireless and Mobile efforts at IBB. An industry expert, Jeff has helped wireless clients innovate and execute through the entire new product and device development lifecycle from idea generation to launch. Jeff's focus is on Devices, Products, and Services that help carriers, device manufacturers, and content providers drive revenue. Jeff has hands on experience as a successful Product Manager who has developed global hits in smartphones and connected devices that integrate products such as LBS / Navigation, Messaging (SMS/MMS/Voice-to-Text/IM), Email, Browsers, Video-on-Demand, Media Vault, Music-on-Demand, and 3 Screen Media services. Jeff has worked directly with all major air interfaces: GSM, CDMA, WiFi, WiMAX, and LTE.
