Nan-Kirsten Forte, Executive Vice President, Consumer Services, WebMD: where she oversees marketing and brand management for the consumer websites including WebMD.com, MedicineNet.com, eMedicineHealth.com, and RxList.com. Additionally, she is Editor in Chief of WebMD the Magazine. Joining WebMD in 1999, Ms. Forte helped establish WebMD as the leading source of health information for consumers. Ms. Forte has had a diversified career in health media and patient education for more than 20 years. Ms. Forte held various positions in health and medical news, education, journalism, publishing, marketing and promotion. Ms. Forte launched iVillages first health channel in 1998 and was president, programming and product development, for Medcast (Greenberg News Networks). She started her career at The Center for BioMedical Communications at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York. Ms. Forte is a graduate of Swarthmore College and received a M.S. degree in biomedical communications from Long Island University.
Howard Tiersky is CEO of Moving Interactive Inc, a design, technology and consulting firm focused on the development of new products for the digital world. With a team of over 100 professionals on four continents, Moving Interactive works with some of the world's leading media brands such as Universal Studios, Readers Digest, Conde Nast, Moodys and Bloomberg on the launch of their new digital products. Moving Interactive also provides platforms to accelerate the creation of social applications, web sites and mobile applications, including GuideMapp a revolutionary cloud-based offering for creating and updating iPhone and Android Apps extremely rapidly. Prior to "taking the leap" to found his own company in early 2008, Howard was Vice President, Media & Entertainment in Capgemini's consulting practice where he worked with media clients such as NBC, McGraw-Hill, Turner and Sprint on digital media strategy and implementation. Howard also led Capgemini's interactive practice for many years and was responsible for numerous customer-facing eCommerce efforts for many Fortune 500 brands such as Office Depot, Sears, Merrill Lynch, General Motors, American Express and Allstate. Howard has also created a number of independent digital media brands including SnideTV which has driven over 5 million views of its political satire animations such as "George Bush Job Interviews" and "Paris Hilton Prison Diaries." Most recently his work has been a bit more wholesome with the launch of CraftClub.com, a rich media crafting site for kids 3-11, and ShelfLifeAdvice.com, a food expiration reference site, which was recently featured on the home pages of Yahoo! and MSNBC. Howard has also recently served on the adjunct faculty of the Interactive Telecommunications Program at the the NYU film school.
Lincoln Bjorkman, Executive Vice President, Chief Creative Officer, North America, Digitas: As EVP, Chief Creative Officer, North America at Digitas, Bjorkman has creative responsibility for the agencys North American offices including New York, Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, Stamford and one of their largest accounts, American Express. He sits on the Digitas Senior Leadership Team and also works on a range of other agency clients that include Delta, Kraft, Samsung and Comcast. Prior to Digitas, Bjorkman work at Y&R Inc. serving first as director of concepts for the Wunderman New York office, and then later as creative director and principal of Y&R Incs BRAND BUZZ. At BRAND BUZZ he leveraged his multi-discipline background to create award winning programs across all disciplines and media channels for Y&R clients like SONY, Colgate, Dr.Pepper/7up, and many more. Moreover, he was the creative engine for Brand Buzz New Business -- whose wins included 7ups dnL soft drink and Sunkist, LG Home Appliances, Heinz (Pounce), Absolut Brands (Danzka Vodka / Plymouth Gin), Kronenbourg 1664, WTT (World Team Tennis), The United Nations and many others. Previously, Bjorkman and four partners formed Sierra Communications, a full-service marketing communications agency. Clients included SNET, GE Capital, Hard Rock Cafe and others. Prior to that, Lincoln was a creative director at Ryan Partnership where he served on a broad range of direct, promotion, general advertising, design, collateral and interactive work for clients that included such clients as Pepsi, Prudential, Chesebrough-Ponds, and Oxford Health. Before Ryan Partnership, Lincoln spent a number of years creating direct response, advertising and promotional programs for many of Wunderman Cato Johnsons (Y&R) major accounts including Miller Brewing Company, American Express, Ericsson, AT&T and USPS. Bjorkman has won multiple MIXX, ECHO, NY Festivals, EFFIE, PROMO Pro and REGGIE creative awards and a repeated finalist at Cannes. His work at Digitas has also been featured in Communication Arts. During his tenure as Executive Creative Director for Digitas New York, the agency has been repeatedly recognized at Cannes, won WEBBY awards and numerous other industry honors. He shares a U.S. Patent for digital work developed on behalf of American Express. He holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University (with Honors in English). While there he wrote an honors thesis on William Faulkners short fiction and reported for The Associate Press. He lives in Connecticut with his wife and twins.
Darren Cross, Head of Business Development, Fandango/Comcast Interactive Media: Based in Los Angeles, Cross focuses on developing strategic partnerships for Fandango, the nations leading moviegoer destination, and Movies.com, one of the webs top entertainment sites. Cross has been instrumental in extending the brands to new platforms, including mobile, set-top boxes, and other consumer electronics devices. Recently, he has been involved in developing Fandangos mobile application strategy including applications for both the Apple iPhone and the Palm Pre. Before joining Fandango, Cross was Vice President of Acquisitions and Business Development at ClickStar, a joint venture between Intel and Morgan Freemans Revelations Entertainment, created to deliver first-run theatrical and home entertainment product to consumers via the open Internet. Prior to ClickStar, he was an associate equities analyst at Wedbush Morgan Securities, focusing on the internet and digital media sectors, including web retailers, video game publishers and digital marketing firms. Cross holds a JD from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, an MBA from UCLA's Anderson School of Management, and a BA in Economics from CSU Northridge. Cross is a member of the State Bar of California.
Andreas Stecher, Executive Vice President Sales, 38, is responsible for FISHLABS global sales activities. He is a seasoned professional with excellent contacts and more than ten years of experience in the mobile/wireless industry. In addition to managing FISHLABS wireless sales accounts and developing new business, he is working closely with key clients like Volkswagen and Barclaycard on premium mobile advertising projects. Before he joined FISHLABS, he was sales director at Electronic Arts (EA) Mobile responsible for central Europe and games such as Tetris, FIFA, and Need for Speed. He holds a degree in law specialized in brand licensing and contracts.
Sun Jen Yung, Managing Director, Headwaters MB: Prior to Headwaters, Sun joined Oppenheimer in September 2006 to head the Digital Media and Internet investment banking practice. Sun's experience of over fourteen years in investment banking includes corporate finance coverage of Media (cable and entertainment), Digital Media, Internet and software companies at TD Securities, Deutsche Bank and Lehman Brothers as well as equity research at Lehman Brothers. Over the years Sun has represented a wide range of clients in these sectors encompassing a variety of equity, debt and merger & acquisition transactions including Adelphia Communications, Autobytel, Comcast Corporation, Digital Domain, iVillage, Liquid Audio, Mediaplex, Scientific-Atlanta and TiVo. She also spent two years at TCSI in Berkeley, CA in Business Development and Finance. Sun graduated from Columbia Business School in 1988 with an MBA in Finance and a B.A. in Economics and International Studies from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN in 1984..
