Edward Balassanian, founder and CEO of Strings.com: With more than 15 years of experience in the networking software industry, Edward Balassanian, founder and CEO of Strings.com, Inc., is a prosumer that is passionate about improving todays technology in order to deliver the best end user experience. Edward has dedicated the better part of the last three years establishing Strings.com as the first social tracking and filtering platform for consumers and brands. Prior to Strings.com, Mr. Balassanian founded BeComm Corporation, next-generation communications technology that focused on delivering a broad range of media appliance solutions. Edward has also served as President and CEO of Implicit Networks, Inc., a software provider with the goal of developing computing platforms for resource oriented, distributed devices and applications. He began his career working as a software engineer at Microsoft. Edward is a graduate of the University of Washington with a degree in Computer Science.
Matthew Apfel, Vice President of Content, East Coast, Coincident TV: As vice president of content, East Coast for Coincident TV (CTV), Matthew Apfel forges strategic and creative partnerships with television networks, content portals, production companies, brands, and other media entities. He manages and drives creative development to help Coincident partners identify programs and projects that best utilize the CTV platform. Prior to joining CTV, Apfel co-founded the user-generated songwriting community WeMix.com with Chris Ludacris Bridges. From 2005 to 2007, he served as vice president at True Entertainment, where he created and supervised reality and alternative content for networks including MTV, Discovery, and E! Entertainment. As an independent showrunner and producer, Apfels credits include ABCs Who Wants to be a Millionaire, and programs for ESPN, USA Network and VH1. Apfel began his television career at Court TV, where he produced the OJ Simpson trial and developed an award-winning unscripted program for a younger audience. His expertise in pop culture led to the development of the top-selling board game Pop Smarts. Apfel is an honors graduate of Tufts University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Law.
Albert Azout, Chief Executive Officer, Sociocast: Albert is a Co-Founder of NYC-based StyleCaster, the fastest growing womens lifestyle platform on the web. He is also a co-founder of Sub Rosa, a top digital advertising firm in New York City. Prior to Sociocast, Albert worked at Lehman Brothers where he built his quantitative and engineering background. He graduated from Babson College with a B.A. in Business Administration and serves on the advisory board of various start-ups including Last Pictures, Qwiki, Paymio, SaveFans.com, and Cassa Decor.
Boris Fridman, Chief Executive Officer, Crisp Wireless: Boris Fridman is the mobile industry veteran and visionary guiding Crisp Wireless through its evolution from a mobilization company to a leading mobile advertising solutions company. Fridman has a proven track record building and leading successful software companies in the wireless and mobile space. As Chief Operating Officer of SJ Labs, a developer of award-winning VoIP software products, he focused the company on providing solutions in the emerging voice over Wi-Fi market. As founder and CEO of Broadbeam Corporation, he led the company to become a premier supplier of wireless middleware products to enterprises worldwide. He co-authored "Wireless Data for the Enterprise: Making Sense of Wireless Business," published by McGraw-Hill, and received a patent in the area of wireless access to the Internet. Fridman holds a Master's degree in physics.
Eric Litman is Chairman and CEO of Medialets, the most widely deployed rich media advertising and analytics platform for mobile. He is a pioneer of the Internets commercialization, and as a co-founder of Proxicom, helped to build one of the first, largest, and most successful publicly traded interactive agencies. Eric most recently served as Managing Director of WashingtonVC, an early-stage fund and incubator. Previously, Eric held senior executive roles in high-growth Internet businesses, as founder and CEO of Viaduct Technologies, a global Internet and mobile interactive agency. He was also instrumental in building digitalNATION, a world leading web hosting and services provider, from its launch through its $100m acquisition by Verio Internet/NTT (NYSE: NTT). Eric began his career with technical and software engineering positions at GEnie, a pre-Internet online service provider, and NeXT Computer.
Bruce Budkofsky, Sr. Director National Sales - Mobile, Social and Strategic Partnerships: With more than 12 years of experience in the digital advertising sales industry, Bruce now leads the ad sales strategy for Comcast Digital Entertainments mobile platform, which includes several leading entertainment mobile websites and applications including Fandango, the leading movie ticketing company, E! Online, and G4. With over 10MM monthly unique visitors, CDEs mobile platform reaches young, affluent, socially-active, peer influencing adults who have a passion for movies, entertainment and video games. Bruce joined Fandango in July 2005 when he opened and built the Eastern Region Sales Team for Fandango, which was acquired by Comcast Interactive Media in May 2008. Prior to joining Fandango, Bruce was with The Weather Channel for 6 _ years, where he sold interactive, cable, and multiplatform media campaigns to advertisers such as P&G, J&J, AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Scotts and Schering-Plough. A graduate of Boston University with a B.A. in Business Administration, Bruce serves on the IAB Mobile Committee.
Dirk Brown is the Chairman and CEO of Pandoodle Corporation, a digital media technology company that enables turn-key, customized video content. Pandoodles patent-pending process allows producers to create replaceable avatars, customizable product placement, and other personalized components in their content, and deliver that content across multiple platforms and consumer experiences. This provides additional sources of revenue and stronger brand affinity for content owners. Prior to co-founding Pandoodle, Dirk was CEO of Neoconix, a venture capital-funded electronics technology company with worldwide sales and manufacturing serving Fortune 100 customers. He was previously Executive Vice President of Operations and Marketing at High Connection Density (HCD), with P&L responsibility for all of the company's product lines, and prior to that a Member of Technical Staff at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). Dirk holds over 25 patents, has written over 30 technical papers and journal articles, and is an active member in a number of professional societies. He holds an M.B.A. from San Jose State, a Ph.D. (Materials Science) and M.Eng. (Applied Physics) from Cornell University, and an Applied Physics/Electrical Engineering degree from Queen's University in Canada.
