Tom McMahon, President, TidalTV: Tom most recently served as TidalTVs Chief Revenue Officer. In his new role as President, he continues to manage the TidalTV sales organization, while also working closely with Scott Ferber on administration of the business. Tom is also on the TidalTV Board of Directors. Prior to joining TidalTV, Tom served as Senior Vice President, Operations for AOL Media Networks, and as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and General Counsel, for Advertising.com. Also an attorney, Tom previously was an associate in the corporate and private equity groups at Hogan & Hartson, LLP.
Matt Timothy, President of BBE's VINDICO Group: Matt Timothy is spearheading the next chapter of the BBE story, through the continued growth of its proprietary video ad delivery and targeting products. Matts 12-year career in digital media includes stints with CBS, Ziff Davis, and most recently, National Cable Communications, where he was SVP. He was also co-founder of Funnel Networks, a media analytics company that focused exclusively on the effectiveness of pharmaceutical advertising. Matt holds a B.A. in Social Science from Hofstra University.
Greg Philpott is President of mDialog Corporation, an innovator in the fast-evolving online video sector, which he founded in 2005. Mr. Philpott is regarded by his peers as a media pioneer for his work in online video and media process improvement technologies. An accomplished business process management consultant, Mr. Philpotts expertise in Digital Asset Management has helped drive notable enterprise process improvement at leading companies in the media and entertainment industries, including Canadas Alliance Atlantis and TVOntario. During his career as an entrepreneur and management and technology consultant, Mr. Philpott has had significant impact, increasing business process efficiencies at leading companies such as Alliance Atlantis, TVOntario, CB Richard Ellis and Tarion. He has extensive knowledge of business process improvement frameworks and best practices such as Six Sigma, Zachman Framework, and Unified Modeling Language. Mr. Philpott offers a rare blend of creative and analytical strengths, and his track record of business transformation is based on his philosophy of total enterprise engagement in change. He is a member of ISO MPEG where he is helping to define future technology standards for the media industry. Some of Greg Philpott's talking points include new interactive overlay technology, in-stream video advertising, new security and performance analytics reporting features, new mobile apps, video engagement services, and online connectivity. The audience can expect to take away an understanding of how to effectively use innovative interactive technology through ad insertion to maximize business, among other things. Mr. Philpott is married with two children and resides in Toronto and New York City. A Canada native, he received a B.S. in Economics and Geology from the University of New Brunswick.
Joe Costello, Co-Founder, Chairman, CEO, Orb Networks: Joe is highly regarded for his business acumen and bold moves in the high-tech industry. In 1997, Chief Executive Magazine named Joe the top performing chief executive officer of all publicly traded companies in North America. He also made Upside Magazine's 1997 "Elite 100" list of the top executives leading the digital revolution. In addition to his position at Orb Networks, Joe is chairman of think3, a global provider of product design and development software solutions, where he also previously served as chief executive officer. Prior to think3, Joe was president and chief executive officer at Cadence Design Systems, Inc., for more than a decade. Under his leadership, Cadence became the world's leading supplier of electronic EDA software and services and one of the 10 highest-grossing software vendors in the world. Joe also acts as chairman of a number of other privately-held companies that include Readio, Abazab, SpeakESL and Soliloquy Learning. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and physics from Harvey Mudd College, a Master of Science degree in physics from Yale University and a Master of Science degree in physics from the University of California, Berkeley.
Maryse Thomas, CEO, POKEWARE: As founder and CEO of POKEWARE, Maryse Thomas is responsible for establishing key technology and corporate relationships, and oversees strategic initiatives and business planning activities. In addition to her position as CEO, she focuses on the implementation of effective digital advertising programs, e-commerce solutions and the execution of aggressive revenue goals. Maryse brings deep insight and extensive expertise in emerging and disruptive technologies, knowledge of digital media and interactive advertising and most importantly, common sense. Ms. Thomas focus is to equip advertisers and content producers with POKEWARETMs proprietary tools in conjunction with partnerships that will enable an organic integration of contextual product placement, interaction and measurement. Maryse played tennis at the University of South Carolina where she majored in Biology. She is closely involved with Harlem United and ran the ING NY Marathon in 2009 on their behalf in 4:43:04, successfully raising $90,000 for pediatric AIDS research and treatment. Maryse is also a supporter of The West Hollywood Food Coalition, an organization committed to feeding the homeless of Los Angeles. Maryse is fluent in Spanish, enjoys learning French, playing tennis and competing in golf events. Shes an IFR rated pilot and flies her Cessna 172 whenever possible. She divides her time between New York, Minnesota and California.
J. Sibley Law, President, Saxon Mills, Producer, Director, Writer: J. Sibley Law, who goes by Sib, is co-editor of the forthcoming book Streaming Media in Higher Education with Professor Charles Wankel (IGI Global) and is the creator of RocketsTail, a blog about New Media. Also, he is the creator of numerous online video series, including: News for Blondes, Bonnie for President (Official Honoree of the 2007 Webby Awards), The Merry Travelogues, Dishes, The Happy Weatherman, Not Ann Coulter, Katya Say, What's In Your Cup? and The Oligarch Duplicity. He has directed and produced music videos and his drama Back East is currently in post production as is his documentary, The Restoration Show. He has participated on panels globally to discuss many issues including content, monetization, and distribution platforms. He is an active member of the International Academy of Web Television (IAWTV). Law got his start producing when he was part of a small team of people who produced the numerous events celebrating the United Nations 50th Commemoration (1995) in San Francisco, its birthplace. Law is currently Chair of the Stratford Arts Commission in Stratford, CT. There he founded and has produced the Stratford Shakespeare Festival since 2005. He co-founded SquareWrights Playwright Center, which has showcased more than 100 new works by emerging playwrights in the region. Additionally, he has served on the boards of the New England Academy of Theatre and the Playwrights Center of San Francisco. Laws stage-work as a director and playwright has been produced on stages from New York City to San Francisco to Valdez, AK, where he was a featured playwright at The Last Frontier Theatre Conference in 2006. Additionally, Law has worked with Fortune 500 companies since 2000, helping to solve problems of margin loss and yield erosion through effective negotiation and strategy.
Kelly Anderson, VP and GM, Cable and Satellite, PreClarity Communications: As Vice President and GM of Cable and Satellite Division at PreClarity Communications, Kelly Anderson works with cable, IPTV, mobile, and satellite operators on the viewership and quality metrics for video services such as TV Everywhere, video over DOCSIS, and iTV based campaigns. Prior to PreClarity, Kelly launched solutions at Openet around audience measurement, eWallet, interactive TV applications,TV Everywhere and subscriber data management for video operators. In 2005 as President of IPDR, Kelly oversaw the launch of the IPTV measurement initiatives, the work efforts with OCAP 1.1, the inclusion of IPDR into DOCSIS 3.0 specifications. Kelly led IPDR through the eventual inclusion into the TM Forum,and then launching the Cable sector. Previous to IPDR, Kelly held leading roles in AT&T Local, Birch Telecom, and Intrado Inc.
