Richard Sussman, VP - Digital Entertainment, The Nielsen Company – Online Practice: Richard Sussman is Vice President of Digital Entertainment for The Nielsen Company’s Online Practice. In this role, Mr. Sussman has been instrumental in leading all related growth initiatives within the Digital Entertainment vertical in terms of business development and sales. He oversees all of Nielsen’s entertainment clients’ digital business initiatives with such entities as The Walt Disney Company, Sony Corporation, Universal, Warner Bros., News Corp., Ticket Master-LiveNation, AEG Live and Paramount Pictures to name just a few. Mr. Sussman is a Digital Media and Entertainment (M&E) Specialist in Sales, Strategy, Business Development and Product Conceptualization to Commercialization. Segment focus spans (a) Television (Production, Cable Networks, Non-linear Networks / VOD), (b) Advertising / Marketing Services, (c) Internet, (d) Music (artist management, record labels, distributors, live concerts), (e) Film / Motion Pictures, (f) Wireless / Mobile Content, (g) Advertising technologies. Prior to Nielsen, Mr. Sussman was an M&E management consultant and co founder of two emerging media and technology companies: Gorilla Exchange, Inc. and Stream Exchange/QuickFlicks.com where he was responsible for growth strategy, international expansion, business development, sales and thought leadership.



Brent Horowitz, Vice President, Business Development, FreeWheel: where he oversees the
company’s strategic relationships and systems integrations across 70+ partners in the video ecosystem. Before joining FreeWheel, Brent spent nearly twelve years at various internet technology companies, most recently at Homestead Technologies, acquired by Intuit, Inc. in 2007 due in large part to Brent’s contributions. Prior to Homestead, he managed new channels at NexTag, Inc., a leading comparison shopping site and lead-generation engine. Like many at FreeWheel, before going to NexTag, Brent spent nearly five years at DoubleClick in its early stages, where he helped launch the DART for Advertisers business unit and grow it from an idea to an industry standard. He also held the role of Director of Business Development, Emerging Technologies, for which he had primary responsibility over the digital & interactive television space. Brent is a graduate of UCLA and resides in San Francisco.








Jonathan Hurd, Director, Altman Vilandrie & Company: Jonathan Hurd joined Altman Vilandrie & Company in 2006. He has more than 20 years of consulting and industry experience in communications, media and related technology sectors. Jonathan’s primary areas of expertise include business and marketing strategy, new business creation and launch, integrated consumer and business services, and customer and sales channel segmentation and targeting. Jonathan’s experience in the IPTV realm includes customer targeting, partner evaluation, demand modeling, and business case development. With unique insight into competitive trends and consumer perceptions about content and communications services, Jonathan works with clients to develop differentiated video strategies. Jonathan’s extensive marketing background enables him to recommend product and marketing strategies that resonate with target audiences as IP-delivered video moves towards broad adoption. Prior to joining Altman Vilandrie & Company, Jonathan was a Vice President with ADVENTIS. Before that, he was a Partner in the Communication, Information and Entertainment practice of Mercer Management Consulting. Jonathan has also served as Vice President of Marketing for a computer peripherals manufacturer, and has held marketing and strategic planning positions at Lotus Development Corporation. In addition, he has served as a software development product manager in industries including financial services, computer peripherals, video game development and management consulting. Jonathan earned a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from M.I.T., and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Wright Steenrod, Principal, Chrysalis Ventures: Wright joined Chrysalis as an Associate
in 2001 and today leads the Technology Group. Bringing his own entrepreneurial management experiences to the Chrysalis team, Wright previously worked as a senior business development executive at a rapidly growing company preparing to go public, and served as CFO of a start-up technology transfer company where he set strategic plans and raised equity and debt capital. As a result of this range of management and financial experience, Wright can relate to and effectively sell entrepreneurs on the advantages of partnering with Chrysalis. Wright has worked with the management teams of fourteen of Chrysalis’ investments including Advanced Academics (sold to DeVry), Genscape (sold to GFI) and Appriss (sold to Bain Capital), in the Technology portfolio among others. He currently is a Director of Digitalsmiths, Continuum 700 LLC, Cybera, Ygnition, Regent Education and SinglePipe.

Frank Sinton, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder, MeFeedia: Frank Sinton
is the co-founder and CEO of Mefeedia, a multimedia search engine that aggregates 200, 000 video feeds in one place. MeFeedia also owns and operates The All Player, an advertising technology platform that makes it simple for video publishers and advertisers to monetize video across any format, player or device including HTML5. Frank has developed direct distribution relationships with TV networks, studios and the web’s most popular publishers to grow MeFeedia as a one stop shop for 5 million video consumers each month while the AllPlayer platform serves more than fifty million video ads a month. . Before founding MeFeedia.com, Mr. Sinton spearheaded the strategic technology vision at Sony Pictures Entertainment and was largely responsible for the search engine that powered the successful startup of Business.com ($340 million acquisition). Mr. Sinton is also the founder of Gotkidsnetwork.com, a social networking site for parents. He received his B.S.in Engineering from Tufts University.

Marc Zachary, Senior Vice President of Business Development, Auditude: Marc lead
s Business Development at Auditude, where he forges partnerships with content owners, website publishers, and advertising partners to better monetize and manage video content online. Auditude was named among SAI Digital 100 (most valuable startups) in 2010. A lifelong technophile, Marc started his career in entertainment and technology at age 11 as the computer consultant for “The Devlin Connection”, a Viacom TV series on NBC starring Rock Hudson. An early adopter of entertainment technology products, Marc has a broad knowledge of digital media distribution, ranging from broadband VOD to mobile. Prior to Auditude, Marc joined Columbia House, then the largest direct seller of DVDs and CDs in the U.S., as Senior Vice President of Product Development. As the first employee based in Los Angeles, Marc became a main point of contact for the movie studios. While overseeing the Programming department, Marc closed new deals with over 15 companies, adding significant value leading up to the sale of the company to BMG Direct. Marc was previously Head of the U.S. Office for Mediaset & Medusa Film, the television and film divisions of the largest media group in Italy, where Marc licensed feature films and guided the group into new areas, including Digital Television, DVRs, VOD, IMAX cinemas, and videogames. Prior to Mediaset/Medusa, Marc licensed all U.S. TV product for the Cecchi Gori Group, where he also worked on the U.S. Distribution for the Academy Award-winning Italian films “Il Postino”, “Life is Beautiful”, and “Mediterraneo”. He previously managed the Office of the CEO of the Orbit Satellite Television Network, the first digital pay television network in the Middle East. Marc received his MBA from Stanford University and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.

Chris Schreiber, Director of Marketing, Sharethrough: Chris leads marketing and business strategy at Sharethrough, a social video advertising company that delivers guaranteed views and sharing of branded video content. At Sharethrough, Chris is involved in developing a modern approach to branded video distribution, which allows advertisers to have a repeatable, scalable and transparent method to maximize video views, sharing and brand endorsement. Chris has extensive experience working in the intersection between social media, entertainment and advertising, having worked at Google for over three years in strategic roles for key social media initiatives and consumer applications and as a consultant to emerging digital media companies across the gaming, video and mobile industries. Earlier in his career Chris worked in content strategy roles for major entertainment brands, including Late Night with Conan O'Brien and CBS Sportsline.
