Pam Schechter, Vice President, Business Affairs, Digital and Cable Entertainment, NBC/Universal: Pam is currently the Vice President of Digital and Cable Business Affairs at NBC Universal specializing in negotiating original and derivative digital content deals and television digital distribution rights deals. She is responsible for all original content deals for NBC Universal Digital Studio and is one of the lead attorneys for all advertiser sponsored content negotiations. She oversees all of the derivative webisode content negotiations for USA and Syfy Channels as well as Universal Cable Productions. In addition, Pam is the lead content lawyer for the NBC Universal entertainment cable websites including USANetwork.com, Syfy.com, BravoTV.com and Oxygen.com and negotiates all of the television digital distribution rights deals for the NBC Universal cable networks and Universal Cable Productions Prior to working for NBC Universal, Pam started a small legal practice focusing on clients in reality television. She also produced shows for various cable networks such as Discovery, Fine Living and Court TV. Before becoming an independent producer and solo practitioner, Pam moved to Los Angeles from New York to negotiate deals for a website called “The Romp”. In New York, Pam was a television and business affairs executive for New Line Cinema and Court TV. She started her legal career in the corporate department of Willkie, Farr & Gallagher, focusing on Mergers and Acquisitions, after graduating from Fordham Law School.

Shalini Govil-Pai, Lead Product Manager, Youtube/Google: Shalini currently works as
the lead product manager at Youtube/Google, Inc. At YouTube, Shalini is responsible for defining the product strategy and roadmap for a rich media distribution platform enabling distribution and monetization of video based entertainment. Prior to Google, Shalini was technical director at Pixar Animation, where she delivered the block buster films, Toy Story, and A Bug's Life.













Bruce Eisen, Vice President, Online Content Development & Strategy, DISH Network: where he is responsible for the strategy and implementation of the company’s online and Internet based initiatives. Eisen’s responsibilities encompass DISH’s online video portal, the delivery of on-demand video content to subscribers’ set-top boxes and the company’s TV Everywhere strategy of making television content available to its subscribers on a variety of devices including computers and SmartPhones. Prior to joining DISH Eisen was the founder and president of Digital Advisors, a digital distribution consulting firm advising a broad range of clients, ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies including Twentieth Century Fox, Blockbuster, Technicolor, Zoran Corp. and Juniper Networks. Eisen was one of the principals who started CinemaNow in 1999 and grew the company from a three person operation to a fifty person company. In connection therewith, Eisen negotiated five rounds of venture financing totaling in excess of $40 million with companies including Microsoft, Blockbuster, EchoStar and Cisco. Eisen was responsible for day-to-day operations of the company and for all of CinemaNow’s business development and legal activities. In that capacity he successfully negotiated CinemaNow’s agreements with over 200 content licensors including such major Hollywood studios as Warner Brothers, MGM, 20th Century Fox, Sony, Paramount, Universal, and The Walt Disney Company. In addition, Eisen brought great success to the company, spearheading distribution and marketing partnerships with MSN, AT&T, Best Buy and other globally-recognized companies including HP, Creative, Archos, Sandisk and Linksys. Prior to joining CinemaNow, Eisen served as senior vice president of the Production/Business Affairs Department for Trimark Pictures, Inc. Eisen’s responsibilities included negotiating Trimark’s film production and distribution agreements. In that capacity, Eisen worked with the Walt Disney Company, Miramax, The Samuel Goldwyn Company, Columbia Pictures, HBO and others. On the production front, Eisen structured Trimark’s relationships with the Screen Actors Guild, the Directors Guild of America, the Writers Guild of America as well as such talent as Samuel L. Jackson, Renee Zellweger, Peter Jackson and Jim Belushi, amongst others. Eisen’s experience in the legal arena of the entertainment industry is matched by his creative endeavors. His producing credits include cult genre favorites “Warlock: The End of Innocence,” starring Bruce Payne, “The Dentist 2,” starring Corbin Bernsen “Leprechaun in the Hood,” starring Warwick Davis and Ice-T as well as two films based on Stephen King properties, “Trucks,” and “Sometimes They Come Back For More.” In addition, he shares a writing credit on “Warlock: The End of Innocence,” the third installment in the popular series. Eisen has lectured at U.C.L.A. and U.S.C. and has spoken at conferences organized by institutions including Digital Hollywood, iHollywood Forum, the California State Bar Association, NATPE, the Independent Film and Television Alliance, the British Screen Advisory Council and the Bangkok Film Festival. Eisen received his J.D. from the University of Southern California in 1991 and his B.A. cum laude with high honors in Philosophy from Clark University in 1984.

Nick Colsey is general manager of product planning for Sony Electronics’ TV Operations of America division. A veteran of Sony Electronics for 17 years, Mr. Colsey is an integral member of the team responsible for Sony’s successful BRAVIA televisions line. In this capacity, he worked extensively on development of Sony’s new BRAVIA Internet Video Link, which brings internet video directly to the TV screen without a PC.

David Ulmer, VP Content and Services, LG Electronics: Dave's had a long history of championing and chaperoning bleeding edge products into the consumer space. From graphics apps in the '80s to revolutionary digital music solutions presently, from startups to massive corporations, Dave's always held the consumer and content creator in focus while herding the industry cats needed to actually deliver the right solutions to market. Original founder of Roxio, Burningpoint, and Earjam. Presently driving strategy, partnerships, and breakthrough new multi-screen media solutions for the company's next-generation connected TVs, mobile phones, tablets, and entertainment devices.for LG Electronics, Inc..Served as Vice Chairman on the Board of Mobile Entertainment Forum, chairing the Marketing Committee, and former board member for OSTA and founding member of SDMI in eras past..





Kris Alexander is the Chief Strategist focused on Connected Devices and Gaming at Ak
amai Technologies Inc. He is currently responsible for Akamai’s strategy for connected consumer electronics, and gaming and interactive entertainment software. Kris joined Akamai in 1994 as the Senior Product Manager who created and launched the Akamai Media Delivery Solution. He advanced to become Product Line Director, where he developed multiple strategies and managed many teams to successfully launch many new solutions and products including the Akamai HD Network with HD for Flash, HD for iPhone/iPad, HD for Silverlight, and Media Analytics, and Akamai Electronic Software Delivery Solution. He worked closely with many businesses over the years as partners and customers of Akamai, including Apple, Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Nokia, Blizzard, EA, Viacom, and Fox. Prior to Akamai, Kris held several positions with Genuity (formerly BBN Networks) including Director of Marketing and Strategy and Product Manager. He also worked as an independent Marketing and Business Consultant focused on business strategy and products across of range of businesses including Parker Guitars, Turbine Games, WarCry Network, NaviSite, and Lahey Clinic. In 1999, he founded an independent record label, Empire Underwater Records in Boston which promoted and released music of local artists nationally. Kris has spoken at multiple industry conferences such as CES, E3, GDC, Cebit, and Digital Hollywood, on topics such as Interactive Entertainment, Gaming, Digital Media, and Connected Devices. He holds a BSE in Computer Engineering and BSBA in Marketing from Northeastern University and an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Babson College.
