Stephan Shelanski, Executive Vice President, Programming, Starz Entertainment, LLC: In this role, Shelanski is responsible for all original programming and film acquisitions for Starz Entertainment and its 16 linear channels, four HD services, six On Demand platforms and broadband services. Shelanski also oversees all on-air interstitial programming and materials operations content. Under Shelanski’s guidance, Starz Originals is creating both original dramatic series (“Spartacus: Blood and Sand,” “Crash”) and comedy series (“Party Down,” “Gravity”). Prior to joining Starz Entertainment in 1994, Shelanski worked at Home Box Office (HBO) as the director of Cinemax scheduling. He began his career in the HBO Program Research department. Shelanski is a graduate of Harvard with a BA in Mathematics and holds a Masters in Cinema Studies from New York University. Raised in Philadelphia, Shelanski resides in Denver and is married with three children.

Bill Brand, Executive Vice President of Programming, Marketing and Business Development, HSN: A well respected and highly creative innovator in television programming for 20 years, Bill Brand was appointed to his current position in February 2009. He joined the Company as Senior Vice President of Programming in late 2006 and added management of Advanced Services to his portfolio in November 2008. Mr. Brand's responsibilities now span several areas key to the elevation and expansion of the HSN brand. As Head of Programming, he directs the strategy for the network's lineup, identifies new programming concepts, and develops event programming opportunities around the Company's key merchandising events. Additionally, he leads HSN's efforts to develop programming opportunities outside of HSN's own network. In May 2008, the first such effort, EXTRA! Trendshopper Powered by HSN, aired in syndication through a collaboration with EXTRA! and Telepictures, Inc. Mr. Brand will now also manage HSN's Marketing team, which includes Brand Management, Customer Relations Management, Strategic Marketing Alliances and Public Relations, as well as Business Development, which identifies and cultivates new partnership and merchandising opportunities for the Company. Mr. Brand also oversees HSN's Advanced Services team, the unit responsible for developing new distribution services for HSN, including Shop by Remote, broadband applications and video-on-demand. Prior to joining HSN, Mr. Brand served as Senior Vice President of Reality Programming for Lifetime from 2001 to 2006 and was responsible for introducing an array of hit entertainment specials to the network including The Golden Girls Reunion and The Designing Women Reunion, both of which were two of the top-10 rated cable specials in 2003. Previously, Mr. Brand was Vice President of Programming and Production at VH1 for five years, where he was a key contributor to the network's rapid growth. Some of his most notable successes at VH1 included the creation of Before They Were Rock Stars, Where Are They Now? and VH1 All Access. Mr. Brand spent the first decade of his career in news management at local TV stations across the country and has received numerous awards including the Edward R. Murrow Award for "Best Large Market Documentary." A native of Buffalo, NY, Mr. Brand received his B.S. degree in communications from Ohio University.

Paul Levine, President, New Media, Current TV: Paul Levine is Current's President of Ne
w Media, leading the company's consumer engagement and monetization initiatives for online, mobile, and emerging delivery platforms. Paul brings over a dozen years of consumer internet and online media experience to Current. Prior to joining Current, Paul led product, marketing, and customer operations for AdBrite, a leading online ad marketplace backed by Sequoia Capital. Previously, Paul was VP/GM of Local Services at Yahoo!, where he was responsible for the company's Local, Yellow Pages, Maps, Real Estate, and Classifieds businesses. Under his leadership, Yahoo! Local grew to reach over 20 million US unique users and became widely recognized as the industry's leading local search and content destination. Earlier, Paul held a number of management positions during 5 years at E*TRADE, where he was responsible for driving record online account growth for the company. Paul holds a BA from Amherst College and an MBA from Stanford University.





Michael Kernan, Chief Executive Officer, NuMedia Studios (former executive ICM) Based
in the Los Angeles office of ICM, Michael leads and coordinates the company's digital and new media assets, including working with ICM's London and New York offices. With its recent acquisition of The Broder Webb Chervin Silbermann Agency, ICM is the premier agency for creators of television and new media programming. Michael joined ICM in 2000, and has packaged numerous new media projects. He has been a leader in Internet deal making, in addition to developing content for the new media platform. Michael is a strategic advisor for technology and new media company clients on growth and financing. Prior to ICM, Michael practiced entertainment law at Lavely & Singer and Behr Abramson & Kaller, and consulted on patents and patent related issues at Gauntlet and Associates. Michael completed his undergraduate studies at The University of Illinois, and attended The University of California, Hastings College of Law, where he served as the Executive Associate Editor of "The Hastings Entertainment Law Review."

Mark J. Kapczynski, Chief Operating Officer, Kontrol Media: Mark Kapczynski has a successful track record as a serial entrepreneur, chief executive and media industry expert. His current venture, Kontrol Media Corp., is an idea incubator for startups and senior professionals in the media and technology markets including Web 2.0, mobile, and television. Prior to that, he was founder and CEO of MESoft, a media and entertainment software company, for which Kapczynski raised two rounds of seed and venture capital funding exceeding $8MM. Under his leadership, the company also grew its distribution to a global level and partnered with leading IT companies, such as IBM, Sun and AMD, and media companies that include Avid, Ascent Media and Sony. Additionally, he received a patent for a digital media workflow process. From 1995 to 2002, Kapczynski worked at Microsoft Corporation as their Director of Worldwide Media & Entertainment Solutions Group. During that time, he worked with numerous digital media and internet start-ups such as Homestore (now Move.com), Movielink, and MeTV. Mark Kapczynski got his first taste at being an entrepreneur in 1993 when he founded Digital Genesis-a pioneer in the internet/e-commerce space-which was sold to publicly-traded Netgateway, Inc. (NGWY, now IIG) three years later. Mr. Kapczynski graduated from UCLA film school and continues to be active in multiple industry associations that span media, mobile telecom, technology, and Internet Web 2.0. In his free time, Mr. Kapczynski enjoys car racing and playing the drums.
