Heather Hopkins, SVP and General Manager, MTVN Tribes joined MTV Networks in May of 2009 to start and run its new vertical ad network initiative. Since joining, she has led the business and ultimately forged partnerships with more than 250 publishers and the development of a wide range of products to provide MTVN advertisers with additional scale, targeting, and efficiency. She also oversees sales strategy and development as well as product marketing for Tribes. Prior to joining MTV Networks, Hopkins was SVP, Marketing, at Digitas, working on such accounts as American Express, Barnes & Noble, Nike, and Converse. During her seven years at Digitas, Hopkins gained extensive experience leading digital marketing strategy, web development, online media, and CRM initiatives for blue chip brands. She maintains the unique perspective on the industry, having served on both the agency and media sides of the business. Hopkins received her BA from the University of Virginia and her MBA from Columbia Business School.
Jason Miller is a Group Product Manager for the Google Content Network. Over the past four years with Google, he has focused on improving ad targeting on the Google Content Network to increase publisher monetization, while also delivering better control and value to Content Network advertisers. Before Google, Jason was a management consultant at Fletcher Spaght, providing strategic advice to technology startups on product strategy and venture capital fundraising, and at McKinsey & Company, advising CEOs and CIOs of Fortune 1,000 companies about strategically using technology to enhance their businesses. Jason holds an MBA from Harvard, and a Master of Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from MIT.
Adam Gouttierre, Senior Product Manager, Microsoft Advertising: As Senior Product Manager in the Microsoft Media Networks Business Group, Adam leads some of Microsofts core targeting products across the Microsoft Media Network. He has managed and/or launched Behavioral Targeting, Re-Messaging, Profile Targeting, and Custom Targeting throughout his career at Microsoft. Prior to joining Microsoft, Adam was Director of Business Development at Nanonation, a retail software company, where he successfully developed markets for interactive customer experience technologies in the retail space. Prior to Nanonation, Adam spent many years in the political arena, where he was a legislative aide in the US Senate, as well as managed political campaigns. Adam received his MBA from the University of California at Berkeley, Haas School of Business. Adam completed his undergraduate studies at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO with a BSBA in Finance-Economics and Global Studies.
Jeffrey Hochberg, Vice President of Sales, AOL's Audience Targeting, AOL: Jeff Hochberg is the Vice President of Sales for AOL's Audience Targeting product suite, which commands the largest online reach of any network, according to comScore. He manages a national team of Audience Targeting sellers, overseeing new advertiser acquisition and custom client solutions for Behavioral, Psychographic, Demographic Technographic and Geographic Targeting. Prior to his current role, Jeff was the Regional Vice President of Sales for Advertising.com and managed two regional sales teams in New York and Boston. Jeff has also held numerous other management positions during his nine-year tenure with Advertising.com and AOL. Jeff began his career on the agency side with both Organic Online and Grey Design and Promotion, where he advised major clients including Compaq and Chase Manhattan. Jeff holds a BA from Syracuse University and an MBA in Marketing from New York University's Stern School of Business. He resides with his wife and two daughters in New Rochelle, New York.
James Heckman, Founder and CEO, 5to1.com: Heckman is a new media visionary and monetization innovator who brings more than two decades of CEO operating experience as well as major media distribution relationships to 5to1. Heckman is the founder of seven start-ups, which includes five network roll-ups. He was chief strategy officer for Fox Interactive Media, where he architected and led negotiations for the landmark alliance between Google and MySpace, which produced nearly $1 Billion in cash-flow for News Corp. Among the major brands Heckman launched are Rivals.com, Rivals.net (Europe), Scout.com and NFL Exclusive.
Amir Yazdani, Executive Vice President and CIO, Rentrak Corporation: Amir Yazdani heads up Rentrak Corporation's IT staff as the company's executive vice president, information technology and chief information officer. Mr. Yazdani has been with Rentrak for 22 years, beginning in 1986 when he served six years as vice president, management information systems. Before being promoted to his current position in July 2001, Mr. Yazdani served as vice president, management information systems of Rentrak's former subsidiary 3PF.COM, Inc. from 1999 to June 2001.
Rick Bolander, Managing Director, co-founded Gabriel Venture Partners, an early-stage venture capital firm committed to building capital-efficient market leaders by actively assisting entrepreneurs. Rick sought to create a firm with a specific organizational structure and core competencies designed to achieve this goal of building the next generation of industry leaders by identifying the best entrepreneurs and working side by side with them to win.
