As advertising continues to embrace broadband in all its manifestations, via the PC, mobile, games and TV, having a complete understanding of its reach and impact is only beginning to charted and broken down. Broadband advertising in all its forms, text, video and display are taking forms that only the interactive technologies can provide. Whether it’s search or a form of hypertargeting, we are only at the early stages of fully appreciating the impact and return on investment. In this session, the analytics of advertising in the emerging and more cutting edge platforms of social media, search and broadband video will be explored.

Ian Swanson, Founder & CEO, Sometrics: Ian Swanson is co-founder and CEO of Sometrics (www.sometrics.com). Sometrics was the first to tailor its analytics and ad managing solutions to focus on social networking platforms and applications, providing the most relevant and effective audience analysis and social ad targeting available. In December 2008, the company achieved another first when it launched the Advertiser Supported Transaction Platform, an ad server to manage all virtual currency monetization from multiple offer providers. Before launching Sometrics, Swanson was business development manager for Userplane, an AOL company that provides social media apps to hundreds of thousands of online communities, supporting millions of users daily. Swanson was instrumental in helping the company extend the reach of its hosted chat, IM and other communications apps, and in building the company's ad network. Before Userplane, he was an executive with Sprint and helped launch two mobile web startups. Swanson actively advises several successful social networking applications, Fortune 500 companies and startups with their brand and marketing strategies within the social media ecosystem. He is often invited to share his insights at industry events and has addressed audiences at the IAB's Leadership Forum - Audience Measurement; SNAP/SWAT Summits; Graphing Social Patterns, User Generated Content Conference, among many others.

Zvika Netter, CEO and Co-Founder, Innovid: Founded in 2007, Innovid provides a revolutionary platform that allows new ways for monetizing video content. Innovid’s platform allows for video content owners and producers to define new in-video real-state as ad inventory that can be monetized dynamically by embedding targeted brand placements and overlays during video view time. Zvika is a serial entrepreneur with over 16 years of experience. Prior to Innovid, Zvika founded and acted as CEO of Converit, a real time, collaboration platform for financial services funded by Goldman Sachs Ventures and Harris Ventures and BeSure, Israel's B2C comparative insurance marketplace. Before that, Zvika founded and was CEO of NTR Visual Technologies which provided front-end consulting & sales software for complex financial products. In 2006 NTR Visual Technologies was acquired by Ness Technologies (a global leader of end-to-end IT services and solutions) Zvika also co-founded GarageGeek.org a nonprofit organization to promote not for profit innovation and creativity, now with 1,400 members. Zvika is 35, a self proclaimed "builder for fun", living and creating in Israel with his wife and two sons.

Jeff Ferguson, Senior Director of Online Marketing, Local.com: Jeff Ferguson currently directs all online marketing efforts for Local.com via a variety of channels including SEO/SEM, affiliate programs, display, and social media. An online marketing veteran since 1995, Jeff has led the online marketing efforts for companies such as Hilton Hotels, Kimberly-Clark, InterActiveCorp, Experian, and Napster. Jeff is a regular at the Search Engine Strategies (SES) and Online Marketing Summit (OMS) shows throughout the US and Europe and is currently a member of the Board of Directors, Search Engine Strategies Conferences.

Craig Danuloff, President & Founder, ClickEquations: Craig Danuloff is the Presid
ent & Founder of ClickEquations, a complete paid search management platform for large advertisers and agencies. Craig has written and spoken extensively on paid search marketing, most recently at Search Marketing Expo (SMX) Advanced conference. Craig has been at the forefront of online commerce and marketing since 1994, when he founded iCat Corporation, one of the first ecommerce software companies. Craig built one of the nation’s first desktop publishing service bureaus, and authored over two dozen computer books published by IDG, Sybex, Dow-Jones Irwin, and others. He has been profiled in Forbes, featured on CNBC, and in 1997 was named one of the ‘100 Technology Elite’ by Red Herring Magazine. Before founding ClickEquations, Craig was President and COO of eColony, an early stage venture fund formed by Internet Capital Group. He has a degree from the University of Colorado College of Business and Administration.




Wes Nichols, Co-Founder and CEO, MarketShare Partners: Co-
founder of MarketShare Partners, is one of the industry’s most respected experts in strategic marketing and marketing accountability, with a 20 year track record of strategic marketing accountability for companies like Nissan, The Coca-Cola Company, DIRECTV, Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Mars Inc., GE, Google and numerous others. Prior to creating MarketShare Partners, Wes was asked by Omnicom Group (NYSE: OMC) to lead TEQUILA, a global marketing services agency.  Founded in Paris 18 years ago, TEQUILA is a $1.4 billion, 1400 person marketing services network in 40 countries.  Wes was brought in to launch a North American network and ‘jump start’ the network with a global offering. As a result, TEQUILA now works globally with PlayStation, Pfizer, Nextel, Adidas, Nissan and numerous other key brands. Prior, he was the founder and Managing Partner of Direct Partners, building the agency from scratch to one of the largest and most respected marketing networks, with offices in three countries and over $400 million in billings, selling to Omnicom Group in 1999. Direct Partners worked with firms like EarthLink, Pfizer, Nissan, DIRECTV, and Disney.  A winner of the Inc. 500 Fastest Growing Companies award, DP is still known as one of the most innovative direct marketing networks in the industry. Wes is also a board member of MASB, an organization focused on marketing accountability standards and practices.  An active Young Presidents Organization (YPO) member, Wes attended and matriculated from Randolph-Macon College, The Johns Hopkins University and Harvard Business School, with degrees in Psychology, Business and post-graduate studies in Professional Services Management, respectively.  He is a Senior Fellow of the Milken Institute, a board member of Young Presidents Organization, a member of Pacific Council on International Policy, and on the Client Advisory Board of Google Inc.

Keith Kilpatrick, Director of Product Management, BuzzLogic:
Keith is a seasoned product innovation veteran with more than a decade of experience leading technical teams in the delivery of online advertising and technology systems. At BuzzLogic, Keith is responsible for executing on the company's vision of tapping into social intelligence as a means to drive better online advertising ROI. Prior to joining BuzzLogic, Keith spearheaded the delivery of Adify's web-based platform for media companies and vertical advertising networks. Keith has held numerous positions in technology platform companies such as Blue Martini Software, SeeSaw Networks and Adobe. Keith started his career in consulting at Ernst and Young, holds a MBA from UC Berkeley, where he served as Class President, and also has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.







Ben Straley, Co-Founder & CEO, Meteor: Ben Straley picture Ben has spent the last 13 years of his career managing and leading marketing teams and business for venture-backed startups and large, publicly traded companies. As CEO of Meteor Solutions, he manages the company and secures key partnerships. Currently their clients include Microsoft, Alaska Airlines, Sony Pictures, Disney and many other high-profile brands. Ben began his online marketing career in 1997 as a producer for Starwave, where he worked on online advertising and marketing promotions on ESPN.com and ABCNews.com for major brands including Microsoft Internet Explorer, Gatorade, and Pizza Hut. In 1998, Ben moved from the creative services team to spearhead the development of ESPN.com’s online marketing and e-commerce systems and lead product management of Go Network’s registration and billing web services platform. In 2001, Ben joined Santa Clara-based Sanctum Corporation to oversee Product Marketing of AppScan, the company’s leading suite of Web application security assessment and monitoring tools. In the spring of 2003, Ben was recruited to lead eCommerce and Internet Business Development for a $1.3B global kitchen and housewares company. In this role, Ben led a 20-person ecommerce team, oversaw B2B and B2C ecommerce operations and fulfillment, coordinated the expansion of the company’s online presence and ecommerce operations in the UK and Australia, and signed partnerships with Amazon and Target. In the summer of 2005, Ben returned to his native Seattle to lead marketing for Ignition-backed Judy’s Book, a site where community members around the country shared advice and recommendations about local businesses and activities. Ben holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, a BA with distinction from Colorado College, is the curriculum developer and lead instructor at the UW Extension’s Advanced Interactive Marketing program, and is Chair-elect of the Board of Trustees at the Seattle Children’s Home, Washington State’s oldest children’s charity.

Donald A. Jasko, Chief Executive Officer of Digital Economics, is an attorney by training. He has, for the past twenty years, focused his energies on the economic, technological and legal issues involved in the licensing of creative content. From 1981 through 1997 Don served in various management positions at the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), in which he was instrumental in transforming the process by which performance rights in musical compositions are licensed for television broadcast. He was a key participant in the complex music industry negotiations that culminated in the new "per program" license, as well as the development of the process by which music performance and pricing data are exchanged electronically between television broadcasters and performing rights organizations. In 1997 Don resigned from ASCAP to found Digital Economics. In 1998 Don became a major catalyst in the merger of Solana Technology Development Corporation with Aris Technologies, thereby creating Verance Corporation. He joined Verance in 2000 with key product development, marketing, business affairs, and sales responsibilities for Verance’s digital audio watermark technology in the music and entertainment sectors. He also played a key role in forging international joint ventures. Don returned to the leadership of Digital Economics in October 2001. As Chief Executive Officer, he provides business affairs, publishing administration, license administration and product development services to Digital Economics’ clients. He also serves as an expert witness in litigation involving the licensing and valuation of creative content. His clients and collaborators include composers and recording artists, publishers, programmers, advertisers, content aggregators, software companies and performance verification services. He speaks regularly at industry conferences and educational programs. Prior to earning his JurisDoctor degree at Seton Hall University School of Law, Don received a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude (with a major in Government) from the University of Virginia. He is also a graduate of the Program on Investment Decisions and Behavioral Finance at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Don has run numerous long-distance races, including two New York Marathons. He is a member of the Soaring Society of America and serves as President of the Association for Psychological Type/Los Angeles.
