Ramon Cazares, VP Business Development, Cresta Technology: Cazares has lead marketing and sales initiatives at technology companies including Xceive, TeleCruz Technology, Tut Systems and Cirrus Logic. He has over 20 years of experience in launching new technologies for consumer, computing and wireless applications. He holds a BSEE degree from the University of California, Davis.
David Henry, Senior Director of Product Marketing for Consumer and Home Products, NETGEAR: David Henry serves as NETGEAR's Director of Product Marketing for consumer products. Most recently, he was the product line manager for consumer routers and advanced wireless (802.11n) products. David joined NETGEAR in 2004, prior to which he was a senior product manager for the high technology vertical application at Siebel Systems. David's professional experience also includes business process and information technology consulting with Deloitte Consulting in San Francisco. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on Signal Processing from the University of Washington and an MBA from Stanford's Graduate School of Business.
Peter Low, President and COO, Ensequence: Peter Low has an extensive background in television spanning more than 25 years with expertise in programming and distribution. Before joining Ensequence, Low was executive vice president of cable distribution and marketing for MTV Networks and BET Networks, where he led cable distribution efforts for all 26 of the MTV and BET branded channels. In addition, Low was responsible for negotiating all large distribution agreements and developed the strategy that resulted in the most extensive digital channel launch in the industry. Prior to his position with MTV and BET, Low served as vice president of programming for CableVision.
Michele McGarry, Vice President of Business Development, ThinkAnalytics: Michele McGarry is the Vice President of Business Development for ThinkAnalytics. She leads North American direct sales, partner and OEM development efforts for the Content Recommendations Engine and Advanced Advertising efforts. Michele has spent her career working with emerging technologies and markets. Several years were dedicated to corporate computer security technologies, helping global companies protect their systems and information, including 5 years with Trident Data Systems (now General Dynamics). During her time in London, England in the late 1990's, she established a European presence and distribution channel for Worldtalk Corporation, a then leader in email security and encryption. She also dedicated several years developing new advertising revenue streams for new media with Quokka Sports and at eZula (now Kontera), creating a platform for contextual advertising. Michele holds a Bachelor of Science from Santa Clara University and an MBA from Loyola Marymount University, where her work in quality management across cultures was published through the International Academy of Business Disciplines.
David Barron is Senior Vice President, responsible for Business Affairs, Administration and Market Development for the firm. He also serves as an engagement manager or executive consultant for a number of key clients and executives. He provides expertise in the areas of strategic planning, business modeling, interactive content, technology licensing, marketing and operations management. Prior to Brisbane Digital, David has worked with some of the most successful companies in the world, including Apple Computer, General Electric, Microsoft, Motorola, SBC Communications and The Walt Disney Company. David has held management positions with responsibilities for launching new products & emerging technologies, developing product licensing & distribution strategies negotiating contracts and managing joint ventures & strategic alliances. David holds a law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law, a Masters degree in Business Administration from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Computer Science from Ithaca College. He has been a featured speaker for a number of industry events including the Digital Media Summit and Digital Hollywood and is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the Cable Telecommunications Association for Marketing and the Hollywood Radio and Television Society.
Leslie Chard, President of WHDI: Mr. Chard is President of WHDI (Wireless Home Digital Interface) LLC, and is the driving force behind the burgeoning WHDI standard and its vision of the HD wireless home. Additionally, Mr. Chard manages the WHDI Consortium (whose Promoters include Amimon, Hitachi, LG, Motorola, Samsung, Sharp and Sony) and leads business and legal strategy. Mr. Chard is an expert in the creation of industry standards, and has helped bring to market a number of leading technology standards including DVI, HDMI and dotTV. Mr. Chard is an expert in the development and licensing of technology and content. Previously, Mr. Chard was President, HDMI Licensing, LLC, and helped found the High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) standard, one of the most successful technology standards in history. Prior to that, Mr. Chard was vice president, general counsel and director of business development for Solid Information Technology, a developer of network infrastructure software. Before that, Mr. Chard was an attorney with Fenwick & West and with Keck, Mahin & Cate, where he counseled clients on electronic commerce, intellectual property, technology development, and licensing issues. His clients included content and technology providers ranging from: Sammy Hagar and Jerry Garcia to AMD, Cisco, eBay, Macromedia and Sun Microsystems. Before receiving his law degree, Mr. Chard was a computer consultant with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), where he specialized in implementing distribution and electronic commerce systems. Mr. Chard received a bachelors degree in mathematics/computer science from Wesleyan University (CT) and a J.D. from the University of Cincinnati.
Jonathan Hurd, Director, Altman Vilandrie & Company: Jonathan Hurd joined Altman Vilandrie & Company in 2006. He has more than 20 years of consulting and industry experience in communications, media and related technology sectors. Jonathans primary areas of expertise include business and marketing strategy, new business creation and launch, integrated consumer and business services, and customer and sales channel segmentation and targeting. Jonathans experience in the IPTV realm includes customer targeting, partner evaluation, demand modeling, and business case development. With unique insight into competitive trends and consumer perceptions about content and communications services, Jonathan works with clients to develop differentiated video strategies. Jonathans extensive marketing background enables him to recommend product and marketing strategies that resonate with target audiences as IP-delivered video moves towards broad adoption. Prior to joining Altman Vilandrie & Company, Jonathan was a Vice President with ADVENTIS. Before that, he was a Partner in the Communication, Information and Entertainment practice of Mercer Management Consulting. Jonathan has also served as Vice President of Marketing for a computer peripherals manufacturer, and has held marketing and strategic planning positions at Lotus Development Corporation. In addition, he has served as a software development product manager in industries including financial services, computer peripherals, video game development and management consulting. Jonathan earned a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from M.I.T., and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Amy Wang, Senior Manager, Product Marketing, BigBand Networks: As a sr. product marketing Manager for BigBand Networks, Amy is responsible for driving the product marketing strategies of the BigBands media processing solutions, and develops business alliances to serve the service operators worldwide. She has worked extensively with the cable MSOs and the telecomm service providers worldwide in the video processing, advanced advertising, and data networking industries. Previously Amy served as the director of Broadband Alliances for SeaChange International, and also held a range of senior product management and market development positions with Avici, 3Com, and Nortel. Amy Wang was the chair woman for the Optical Interworking Forum, Interoperability Working Group from 2000 2005.
