Bettina Sherick, Vice President, International Digital Marketing, Twentieth Century Fox: Bettina Sherick is the Vice President of International Digital Marketing for 20th Century Fox, where she oversees the deployment of Internet and mobile marketing strategies and digital marketing content development for the international theatrical businesses. Under her leadership, 20th Century Fox International has actively pursued the digital space as a marketing medium. Her experience includes managing the development of international digital marketing campaigns for $100M+ box office releases such as ICE AGE: THE MELTDOWN, FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER, and THE SIMPSONS MOVIE. She has also spearheaded the development of proprietary technologies to enable the quick launch of versioned Internet campaigns globally. Ms. Sherick began her career at Fox as the Executive Director of Internet Marketing for the Home Entertainment International division. Previous to 20th Century Fox, Ms. Sherick was Director, E-Commerce Marketing, for Warner Bros. Studio Store, where she managed the marketing relationships and promotions, developed an e mail communications program, as well as launched and grew the affiliate network of e-commerce and fan sites. Before Warner Bros. Ms. Sherick was the Director of Marketing for Strouds, Inc., at the time a $200M+ company operating 52 stores across the United States, where she built and launched the company's first website in 1997, and oversaw the development of their e-commerce site in 1998. Ms. Sherick holds an MBA from Claremont Graduate University, with an emphasis in strategic marketing, and an economics degree from the University of CA, Davis.
Waikit Lau, Co-Founder and President, ScanScout: Waikit has extensive experience building emerging media businesses and technologies. In his role as Co-Founder and President of ScanScout, Waikit leads the companys vision and growth. Prior to co-founding ScanScout, Waikit was the Director of Strategy and Business Development at Scientific Atlanta (a division of Cisco) where he helped lead product strategy for next-generation media delivery platforms. Before Scientific Atlanta, he was an investor at Bessemer Venture Partners, investing in and working with early-stage technology companies. Prior to serving as a VC, Waikit co-founded Photo.net, one of the largest online photo-databases and served as its VP of Product and Business Development. He has also consulted to the CTO and COO of Technology at Merrill Lynch in the technology strategy and operation areas. Waikit holds Bachelors degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Finance from MIT and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. He is based in Boston, MA.
Brent Stafford, Vice President Business Development, VideoClix Technologies Inc.: Mr. Stafford is responsible for building the partnerships and strategic alliances which drive the VideoClix solution for monetizing video on the web. An expert on the intersection of brands and entertainment properties, Stafford works directly with content providers, advertisers and distributors to develop innovative clickable video programs. Mr. Stafford has created national and global joint-marketing campaigns and intellectual property agreements with companies such as Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola, Wal*Mart, Electronic Arts, New Line Cinema, Disney, NASCAR, Super Bowl, Hasbro, GRAMMYS and Lucas Films to name a few. Mr. Stafford holds a Masters Degree in Communications from Simon Fraser University.
Kevin Barwin, Vice President of Business Development, Overlay.TV: Kevins dealings with content owners, distributors, and advertisers in the video space facilitates a keen understanding of the social networking space, as well as the move towards the monetization of the medium. Before joining Overlay.TV, Kevin served as Vice President of Global Sales for Lumenera Corporation. Prior to Lumenera, Kevin was President and CEO of OurSoftware Ltd. Prior to his tenure at OurSoftware Ltd., Kevin served as CEO and Co-founder of Zequra Technologies. His previous experience includes over 10 years of e-commerce and software sales where he has consistently excelled and successfully managed and motivated organizations. In 2003 Kevin was the recipient of the Top Forty under 40 award by the Ottawa Business Journal for his commitment to professional excellence and contributions to the community. Marc Zachary leads Business Development at Auditude, where he forges partnerships with content owners, website publishers, and advertising partners to better monetize and manage video content online. Auditudes unique approach to online video monetization was named Best in Category of the OnHollywood 100 for 2009. A lifelong technophile, Marc started his career in entertainment and technology at age 11 as the computer consultant for a Viacom TV series on NBC. An early adopter of entertainment technology products, Marc has a broad knowledge of digital media distribution, ranging from broadband VOD to mobile. Prior to Auditude, Marc was Senior Vice President of Product Development at Columbia House. While overseeing the DVD Programming department, Marc closed new deals with over 15 companies, adding significant value leading up to the sale of the company to BMG Direct. Marc previously managed the U.S. Office for Mediaset & Medusa Film, the TV and film divisions of the largest media group in Italy, where Marc licensed feature films and guided the group into new areas, including Digital Television, DVRs, VOD, IMAX cinemas, and videogames. Marc received his MBA from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. He resides in Los Angeles with his wife and son.
Bismarck Lepe, CEO and Co-Founder of Ooyala: Bismarck Lepe is the CEO and a Co-Founder of Ooyala, a leading online video platform provider. His career has been focused primarily on online monetization. At Ooyala, Bismarck oversees the strategic direction of the company as well as its day-to-day operations. Previously, he worked at Google as a Sr. Product Manager, leading the development and launch of content monetization products for AdSense. He was responsible for launching click-to-play video ads and banner advertising products for the AdSense network. Bismarck began his career as a Marketing Manager at Elance. He has a B.A. from Stanford University.
Matt Cutler, Vice President of Marketing & Analytics, Visible Measures: Matt Cutler serves as vice president of marketing & analytics at Boston-based Visible Measures, the independent third-party measurement firm for Internet video publishers, advertisers, and viral marketers. As part of his responsibilities at Visible Measures, Matt leads the companys research efforts, focusing primarily on measuring how viral videos spread across the Web and identifying best practices in optimizing audience engagement. He also regularly publishes viral video research findings on the Visible Measures blog (http://blog.visiblemeasures.com) and via Twitter (http://twitter.com/mcutler). Prior to joining Visible Measures, Cutler helped to found 80108 Media (now Go2 Media), a venture-backed direct-to-consumer mobile media firm. Previously, Matt led strategic marketing at SPSS [NASDAQ: SPSS], the world's leading provider of predictive analytics software and services. Matt joined SPSS as part of the acquisition of NetGenesis [NASDAQ: NTGX], a pioneering Web analytics company that he co-founded in 1994. While at NetGenesis, Matt co-authored the award-winning E-Metrics whitepaper, helped chair the Customer Profile Exchange standard, an XML-based standard for privacy- enabled customer data interchange, and founded the Webmasters Guild, the first professional association for webmasters. A recognized innovator in the online measurement field, Matt is a member of the IAB Digital Video Committee, the Web Analytics Association, and MITX. Matt plays as much soccer as he can, holds an undergraduate degree from MIT, and lives in Needham, MA.
Lauren Cole, President, Cole Media: Ms. Cole is President of Cole Media, a company that helps clients set up and launch media-related businesses. Clients include companies launching cable and satellite channels, mobile content services, video-on-demand, and broadband content, both in the U.S. and internationally. Past and present clients of Cole Media include TV Guide, Control Room, Verizon Wireless, TV One (Radio One/Comcast), MediaFLO, Technicolor, Sony Pictures Entertainment, E! Entertainment, GSN, HBO Latin America, and Anthony Robbins Companies. Ms. Cole was previously Chief Operating Officer of PacketVideo Corporation, the first company with technology and applications to stream video over wireless devices. As COO, she oversaw all of the business activities of the company, both domestically and internationally. Prior to joining PacketVideo, Cole spent many years at Sony Pictures Entertainment in the International Television division where she was responsible for launching, making investments in, and supervising Sonys cable channel investments in Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Australia. She also headed up operations for Columbia TriStar International Television. Cole also worked in Warner Bros. Strategic Planning Dept, and at Bain and Company. She has a degree in Applied Mathematics from Harvard College and an M.B.A from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
